Accommodations: Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)
Keywords: Apartment
Our renovated apartment offers a sunny, bright (two floor to ceiling large sliding windows) and secure atmosphere (entry code at the front door). It is located on the sixth floor with a new elevator. The bedroom and living rooms look at the beautiful Parisian skyline and there is no one above you. And while the neighborhood is lively, our street is quiet so you sleep well at night.
Our apartment is located at the top of the Champ De Mars, the large park that runs perpendicular to the Eiffel Tower near Avenue De Suffren. It is a truly Parisian neighborhood full of shops, cafes, restaurants and people. It is a wonderful location, close to the Ecole Militaire, two excellent shopping streets (Rue Cler and Rue du Commerce) as well as easy transit via the metro from La Motte Piquet Grenelle only two blocks away (which has three separate metro lines) as well as busses and taxi stands.
The apartment has a separate bedroom, a living room, bathroom and kitchen, about 400 square feet in size with plenty of storage. When weather allows the balcony is perfect for outdoor dining. It has all the amenities we want when we stay at the flat.
We like to refer to our apartment in Paris as the yellow flat and when you look at our pictures you see why. Your can learn more about the flat by visiting our new website, see the link below.
Features include:
Flat screen television with cable;
DVD player; Great stereo with MP3 capability;
WiFi with broadband;
Full size sleeper couch;
Induction cooking element;
Complete kitchen with everything you need to cook;
Spacious shower with lots of hot water.
We love eating in this neighborhood. Restaurants are unpretentious and quality is excellent.
There is always something to do including an open air market every week and shopping is easy and close. The Quai Branley museum is five minutes away.
And most important, we have a bi-lingual manager in Paris who will greet you on arrival and is ready to help you with your questions and concerns.
Should you wish we will arrange for Patrick, a reliable driver to pick you up and take you back to the airport and even stock your fridge with gourmet goodies. Let us know if you are interested in either of these options.

"We are just home last night from our wonderful week in Paris. Your apartment is wonderful and was perfect for us. We can't say enough how much we enjoyed your place. We loved the instruction book with the pictures, the decor, the washer/dryer, the location, and the personal touches. The kitchen was well supplied and easy to work in. The nice bathroom and shower were also a plus. And, we couldn't believe how quiet the neighborhood was!! We will definitely be back and we also will recommend your place to friends and family Our experience was outstanding. Thank you so much."

My husband and I stayed at the Yellow Flat with our 11-year old daughter for a week in October. The apartment was just as billed -- perfectly appointed and maintained, very convenient in terms of Metro access, and located in a lovely, safe neighborhood of Paris. The owner and property manager both were responsive and incredibly helpful before and during our trip. We would recommend this apartment to all and hope to return quickly!
Owner response:Thank you so much for the kind words. We are here in Paris enjoying the Yellow Flat ourselves for the week and are happy that you had the chance to enjoy it. Kind regards Jules and Florence

My wife and I stayed here for a week over New Year and our 1-year anniversary. The location was great; the noise of the city seems to disappear as you walk off the main road nearby, but still you will be close to everything. We walked almost everywhere, and came 'home' to a perfectly sized, eminently comfortable flat. The owner and building manager were great to work with, and the owner seemed genuinely interested in making the stay the best possible.
Owner response:Thierry and I are very gratified when we are able to help one of our guests enjoy and impotant moment in this great city. It was our pleasure to have you.

My wife and I just spent 9 days in Paris staying at the Yellow Flat. Everything about our stay at the apartment was excellent. All the appliances were in excellent working condition, shower pressure was as good as we've ever experienced in Europe, quiet street, comfortable bed, building security; I could keep on going. The apartment is a short 5 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, but located in a non-tourist web of streets. The various cafes, individual stores, and availability, will satisfy any palate. We were met at the apartment by the owner's landlord/concierge who explained everything to us, and offered to help us in any way. This was a very satisfying experience!

A Wonderful Week in The Yellow Flat

Our week (late June, 2011) at the "Yellow Flat" was perfect. The apartment's location makes it easy to get to at the start and a perfect base for exploring Paris by foot (our primary choice) or metro. Being in a residential neighborhood was a big plus, and for daily shopping we never had to go more than a two-minutes walk. The apartment had everything we needed (a washer and dryer is so helpful!), was very clean, and nicely laid out. While there, the temperature hit an all-time high for June (98F/37C), but the air conditioner saved the day and our good spirits. We were 3 (husband/wife and 16 year-old son), and never felt crowded at all. The windows let in lots of light and allowed for plenty of fresh air. At night we found the building to be perfectly quiet and the neighborhood almost as quiet. We all slept fine and would consider the beds to be of high quality. In summary, the apartment is one in which my family and I would be able to live comfortably on a permanent basis given the current set of furnishing and equipment. We loved it and plan to return.
Owner response:Hello Folks. We are always glad to share our flat with renters like you and your family who enjoy the neighborhood as a perfect base from which to explore Paris. We hope to see you again at the Yellow Flat.

We stayed at the Yellow Flat for 8 nights, and found it terrific. It is convenient to 3 Metro lines, nearby grocery store and plenty of bistros and restaurants. It is also very quiet, with plenty of room for two people. The owner and building manager are wonderful to work with, and we recommend this apartment highly. If it's your first trip to Paris, consider taking advantage of the limo service offered through the Yellow Flat; Patrick the driver is excellent, and it makes the transition from CDG to Paris smooth and effortless. Thank you, Jules and Thierry, for your warm hospitality.

Thierry met us outside as we had arranged, and showed us to the flat. It was clean, neat, conveniently located to the metro, had comfortable beds, and excellent shopping all around the neighborhood. We enjoyed staying at the Yellow Flat and would recommend it to our friends and family! Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!
Owner response:Hi DeeDee. Thanks for the kind words and for referring Kristina to us, her family will be staying at the flat in May. Kind regards Jules and Florence

Hello Jules and Flo, We wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at your home in Paris. We made it our home for our 10 visit to Paris to celebrate our 25th anniversary and ring in 2011. The location was perfect and central to everything we wanted to see and do. Thierry and Patrick were both lovely people - thank you for suggesting we use Patrick's service, it made getting to and from the airport a breeze. Your home was bright and cheerful and you were extremely helpful in helping us plan a perfect 25th anniversary celebration. Your restaurant recommendations were wonderful. Thank you so much for helping with the reservations. We especially enjoyed our visit to the Epicurean shop attached to Le Pere Claude Restaurant prior to having dinner there. Meeting Chef Claude added to the enjoyment of our evening meal. Having lunch at Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower was a great treat. It was worth the money not to have to stand in a 3 hour line just to go up the elevator. We were fortunate to get a window seat! The experience was breathtaking. We were thrilled to have been able to walk to both dinner locations as well as many more fun and lively places in your neighborhood. Actually, we walked all over Paris from your apartment! We often took a taxi to the farthest point, then leisurely walked back taking in the sights (and food and wine and shopping) along the way. A couple of evenings we did the opposite...just kept walking until we were exhausted and cold - popped into a nearby brasserie for Vin Chaud (hot wine is a must on cold days). Everyone makes it different and no one makes it wrong, we have a new cold weather favorite! Winter is a wonderful time to see Paris. The department store displays and lights are delightful. We loved your home (the water closet was a bit tight -we are tall people- but that's Europe). Thank you again for renting to us and helping to make our time in Paris wonderful. We would highly recommend this property to friends and family. We look forward to returning! Regards,
Owner response:One of the best things about owning a vacation property is getting to share it with kind guests such as Yvonne and Dennis. As this was a new years and anniversary trip, we wanted the experience to be special and we are so glad it was. Renting an apartment in Paris is a great way to spend your vacation and they go it right. I will adopt their idea of taking a cab to a distant part of town and walking back, can't wait to do so. Jules and Florence

We just returned from a week in Paris. The yellow flat was everything that you promised and more. It was wonderful to feel like part of the neighborhood...buying food and wine at Rue Cler...having lunch at Crepe Suzette. It was our first trip to Europe together and the apartment made it perfect. The location is fantastic...so convenient to the metro with 3 lines.
Owner response:Hi Folks. When Florence (little did I know she had it planned all the time) picked the location of our apartment easy metro access was one of her priorities. Having lived in Paris she understood how important that was and we are glad it helped you get around on your first stay. Thanks so much for the kind words and we hope to see you again. I had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at the lovely yellow flat in paris with my husband and a friend and could not have asked for a better accomodation during my stay! The apartment was perfect for the 3 of us and could easily have accomodated an extra friend. All the amenities were appreciated - from the kitchen and appliances, to the washer and dryer - just perfect! The person who met us on arrival (Thierry) and gave us information was an absolute gem and the owner Jules was great to work with and so helpful! The location is perfect - a great bakery and grocery store right down the street and tons of restaurants and shops and the eiffel tower within short walking distance. The metro is also right around the corner making it easy to get anywhere in Paris. When I return for vacation I hope to stay here again. Thanks for wonderful stay!

Jules, Just a quick Thank You! For the use of the Yellow Flat. We had a great time and it was everything we hoped it would be. The flat was great and suited us perfectly for its size and location. Brilliant! We also took your advice and went to Au Bon Accueil for our anniversary. Wow! The food, the wine, the service – breathtaking. Simply perfect from our point of view. Thanks again. We hope to have need of the Yellow Flat again in a few years and we’ll be in touch!
