My husband, our 5 year old and I had a relaxing week at A Bear's Eye View. It was quiet and had beautiful views. It was exactly what we needed. Carrie was a pleasure to work with and I will vouch for her great housekeeping staff because I left behind my very expensive Dooney and Burke purse full of tons of personal items. Her housekeeping staff notified her immediately but unfortunately we had already gotten to Knoxville so I felt that going all the way back would be inconvienent so her housekeepers shipped my purse to me in Alabama. We left on Friday 10/16 and I received my purse on 10/20. It is difficult for us to find vacation rentals that we feel can accommodate us because our son is Autistic. He roams and so I have to be careful to find somewhere safe for him. The cabin was open and clean. I did not worry about him getting hurt. There was only a couple of things that were a slight problem. The upstairs shower faucet was not on correctly so you couldn't turn the hot water on. We didn't use it anyway but did attempt. The TVs were a little dated but worked fine but the DVD player in the den did not work so we did go buy one to use while we were there. I still give this cabin 5 stars because the cabin itself and the owners and housekeepers made up for any small things that weren't perfect. It was exactly as pictured, close to everything but still private. I would totally recommend this rental. I hope get to return soon!Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Fantastic cabin and owners to deal with throughout the process. Two couples spent the week at this cabin and loved every minute. Well appointed, spotless, and looked like new with all the conveniences. Private but close enough to get to all the trails, fishing, etc. If you want to do the P.Ford or GBurg thing, it's a short drive too. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

The cabin was exactly as pictured. There are plenty of dishes and cookware. Not far from shopping, etc., but far enough away to enjoy the beauty of nature. We stopped at Walmart for groceries which was a real test of our patience and organizational skills. We had prepared a meal plan for the week and had a list already written out. This helped tremendously. The drive up to the cabin is a little tricky, especially in the dark. We had a visit from what appeared to be a "young" bear. It walked right out of the woods, up the steps to the landing area at the front door, looked around, then turned and walked back down the steps and around the side of the cabin. My only concern for anyone staying here is in regards to bees, wasps, yellow jackets, or whatever else you might call these stingers. Some of them like to bore holes in the wood of the deck and they swarm the pollen on the plants just out from the deck. If you are allergic, please be careful. My two teenaged daughters and husband enjoyed the pool table. I myself enjoyed the jetted tub. We went to the Titanic Museum. I would not recommend this for smaller children or for those of you who do not like to read through a museum. We enjoyed it, but my girls are teenagers and enjoy most anything related to the sinking of the Titanic. We also spent some time in the Arts and Crafts area and downtown Gatlinburg. This vacation was all about relaxing, so we spent a lot of time browsing through local shops and relaxing at the cabin. If I find that we are going to be in the area again, I will definitely see if this cabin is available. We absolutely loved our stay and have some great family memories. Thanks for everything!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Beautiful home and great location! The area was wonderful (Gatlinburg) and Dollywood is a must if you go here! However, if you do any grocery shopping avoid Food City! That place is over-priced and a mess! Try to stop at Walmart in Seiverville, if you can. Other than that, we will definitely come back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin for 5 nights. We found it was very spacious. We loved how private the cabin was. We would enjoyed the stay better if it was better appointed. For instance, there were limited number of hangers in the closets and I had to iron my clothes each day. I also would enjoyed if there were other things available like coolers and/or cooking spices. This is probably our 5th or 6th booking on vrbo.com, and most other places we have booked have included those things. Overall though, it was a great cabin and we enjoyed it.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My husband and I spent our two year anniversary at this cabin for a long weekend - first week of December. We absolutely loved the cabin! Views are very pretty, and it was pretty private as well. Actually our only complaint is that we didn't spend enough time in the cabin! We wouldn't do as much down on the Gatlinburg strip as wel did this time. It definitely is tricky finding, but so worth it once you do. We took our dog, and he loved sitting on the balcony watching everything going on!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Just got back from our stay 9/14 thru 9/18/11. The cabin was beautiful and literally on top of the mountain. It was the perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle of town, but close enough to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to do activities during the day. We enjoyed the hot tub, cooked steaks on the grill, and (I) took a dip in the jacuzzi tub upstairs. It was the perfect home away from home where we could relax, play games (including the pool table), cook meals, and get a good nights rest. Definitely a great deal for the money, especially since we had 2 couples and each got their own master bedroom and bath. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to a co-worker!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
