  25th Sept 2009 - Delayed 5 hours and arrived in the dark, went straight to Villa, so easy to find. The welcome pack was a godsend as no time to go to the shops and to wake up and have breakfast was so thoughtful. The property is so clean and spacious with two wings on opposite sides of the house ideal for 2 separate families, the computer, tv's, board games, free telephone to call home, dvd's, snooker & games room were all an added luxury as was the hot tub. Location to Disney was just one straight road, so everything was so easy to find. I choose this villa from the 5 star recommendations and certaintly was NOT dissappointed, anyone who is thinking of staying in Orlando - stay here!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Owner response: Delays are not uncommon when travelling, so we know how important it is to have a straightforward journey to your holiday villa once you finally arrive at your destination. Providing a welcome pack with the essentials for breakfast the next morning is all part of the 5 star service our guests receive.

  Casa muito bem cuidada, aconchegante e possui todos recursos descritos no site. A proprietária foi muito atenciosa e respondeu todas questões de maneira clara e rápida. Destaque para a vista do lago na piscina. Excelente opção para famílias em férias na região de Orlando.

  The description of the property was accurate. Property was clean, secure and well maintained. We had a great time and there was lots of room for a family get together. The kitchen had all the utensils required to make dining-in a pleasure. The property was a short drive to attractions, shopping, golf and dining. The spa and pool were great for relaxing. The owners were very helpful and accomodating in setting up the rental. The arrival package of bacon, eggs, milk, coffee, etc. was classy. Would recommend this property to a friend or relative.

  Owner response: These guests spent nearly the entire month of March in our home. So pleased that they had a great time and enjoyed all the little extra touches including the welcome pack of food and drink.

  We had a wonderful 5 weeks at the house. Everything was great. The home was spacious, clean and fully equipped. The neighborhood was safe and we walked, biked and used the clubhouse during our stay.The grandkids enjoyed the game room, pool & spa as did we. The pool heat was much appreciated. The owner, Marilyn, and the managers were very responsive throughout the rental process. We will certainly keep it in mind when we return to the Kissimmee area.

  Owner response: So pleased that our home became a "home away from home" for 5 weeks this winter for these "snowbirds". The Villa Sol neighborhood really is unique and it sounds like these guests made good use of so many of the facilities that we have there within the community.

  We had a wonderful stay in Orlando. The villa was a lovely base, in a very peaceful location .......... so nice in fact it was sometimes difficult to motivate ourselves to get out and go to Disney!! The pool was long enough and the right shape for adults to do lengths, and perfect for the children to play volleyball in! Whirlpool was lovely after a long day out! We ventured down to the clubhouse one day where there was a huge pool with no one in it, a bit too hot to play tennis though! Villa had everything you could ever need - the closet in the main bedroom was almost the size of our sons room at home!! and our children learnt to play pool. The view was beautiful and we saw some lovely birds, and even the head of an alligator popping up one morning. If we visit Orlando again we would definately contact Marilyn again. The welcome back on the first night was a huge help, given how late we arrived, and lasted us through much of the holiday. Thanks again.

  Owner response: Glad you made such good use of the welcome pack. These guests left some keys behind in our villa, but through the prompt action of our property managers, managed to get the keys mailed back to their home in the UK within a short time of their departure from our villa.

  We found everything in this Villa exactly as described on the homepage. It is really a great place to stay. We spent our 16 day summer holidays in June/July 2012. We (2 Adults, 4 Children) enjoy the starter package for our first breakfast which we have found in the refrigerator (That was a great accommodation for us Germans as late arrivers after so long time traveling). Our four children love to play in the fantastic pool every day. The parents use it early in the morning for swimming (Towels are enough available). A few times, also early in the morning (because of the summer heat) we play tennis at the club house area. Running one time around villa Sol complex is about 2 miles. In the best case we reach two rounds; the heat ... . Often in the evening we enjoy to play billiard (the children use more the PlayStation). The location of Villa Sol is close to the main attractions in Orlando area. Really only 20 or 25 minutes to Disney, SeaWorld, Florida Mall, Outlet shopping centers at International Drive. Close to Florida Turnpike, 417, 528, and Interstate 4 allows being everywhere very fast: one hour to Kennedy Space Center, 45 minutes to Cocoa Beach ... . Enough different restaurants in different categories are around five miles as well as daily shopping possibilities like Publix, Wal-Mart, or Walgreens. From and to the airport only 15 minutes are required. We spent a great time here in the Kendall Villa. We got every support from Marylin Kendall to make our holidays to an wonderful experience for the whole Family.

  We are so pleased we chose this villa, it really did tick all the boxes. When you start looking for the right holiday home you discover that Orlando Area has hundreds to choose from and it becomes very confusing. After trawling through the internet for hours we came across Villa Sol on Owners Direct Website. There was a link to Marilyn's own website along with an Owners Profile, this and Marilyn's quick and comprehensive response to my questions quickly decided this was the one for us. It was the right decision. The directions received from Marilyn found us at the Villa within 15 minutes of leaving the airport. We were tired after all the travelling so the welcome pack was really welcome! Plus we didn't want to leave the Villa to find food but explore it. We had requested pool heating and it was lovely, the hot tub was hotter than a bath. There are plenty of towels, comfy seating around the pool and a BBQ that my husband wanted to take home. We loved the wildlife, we saw an aligator most days, and turtles popping the heads out of the lake. The birds are wonderful too. Arriving back late one evening our headlights caught sight of an Armadillo in the front garden, at least, we think that is what it was. The lounge was comfy and cosy, but we never had time to watch any of the huge DVD collection. We did find time to have a few pool tournaments, which was great fun, but we unfortunately couldn't get to grips with the Air Hockey Table. The beds were all comfy, which we were all grateful for after a long day at the parks. We didn't 'do Disney' this holiday, but had the Orlando Flexticket which got us into 6 parks. South International Drive, Seaworld and Aquatica were about 25 mins away, at least the route we choose was and Universal 30 - 35 mins. Kennedy Space Centre took us about 45-50 mins and Busch Gardens around 1½ hours. All worth at least one visit, most we went to twice. Boggy Creek Airboat tours was less than 10 mins away and well worth a visit. We also enjoyed Medieval Knights in Kissimmee which took us about 15 mins to get to. Marilyn had provided us with directions for local shopping, groceries and malls, nearest groceries (apart from Walgreens which you could walk to) is about 5-7 minutes away and the nearest factory outlet about 15 mins away. Overall we would definitely recommend this villa, and hope that one day we will come back. Thanks Marilyn for sharing your beautiful holiday home with us.

  Owner response: It sounds like these guests enjoyed so much of what our area of central Florida has to offer. By having a two-week long stay, it allowed them to take in so many sites, yet also to enjoy relaxing days spent round the pool, using the BBQ and experiencing the wildlife that exists around our private lake. Our cleaning team found that these guests left their camera battery recharger in our villa, but it was posted back to them in the UK by our property management team. We are lucky to have such a super support system there which means that our guests are well looked after and we are able to sleep well at night, several thousands of miles away, knowing that our home is in capable hands.

  We absolutely loved our two week stay at this villa. The lake view is amazing as is all the wildlife in and around the lake. The villa is fully equipped including a computer and a games room. As well as being beautifully clean on arrival there was the added bonus of a welcome pack which was great as we were delayed and arrived late at night. We spent our days in the theme parks and relaxed in the villa in the evenings enjoying the pool and jacuzzi. Marilyn has been brilliant to deal with and we would highly recommend this villa.

  We had a really great time in your villa and we all thought it was the best we have stayed in (actually, it’s our 1st villa stay) and would definitely return to your villa and recommend to friends. The swimming pool was lovely and the location was great especially with the lake outlook, the beautiful early mornings and the wildlife. The evenings were just as good, with a variety of noises not heard before. You provided for everything we needed and cannot think of anything we missed. The starter pack was a very nice and thoughtful touch. The management company were very helpful when we set the swimming pool alarm off and could not figure out how to stop it!! The presentation of the villa on our arrival and cleanliness was first rate. The location was perfect. It was off the main road, but was easy enough to get to everywhere. Once again, thank you for opening your holiday home to us Sharon Regan (and party)

  Owner response: Florida state law requires that rental properties are fitted with a pool door alarm to prevent accidents of unsupervised children around swimming pools. Although we have instructions in our house about the use of this alarm, I have now started issuing instructions to our guests in their advance of arrival pack as I know it is many times tempting to go straight for opening up the pool doors when entering our villa as this is such a focal point and not notice the button which needs to be pressed to keep the alarm from going off.   This was a holiday of a lifetime for us, and this villa did not disappoint. From the start the owners kept us fully informed at every step because I had problems paying with PAYPAL, had to use a cheque in the end and even though everything was finalized close to us leaving we were kept at ease with e-mails. We were even given the address before confirmation of our cheque clearing to apply for the ESTA's. When we got to Villa Sol, WOW!!! Everything that was promised and more, the house, the endless supply of towels, everything. They supplied bacon, eggs, bread, butter, milk, coffee, tea and sugar for our first day which was much appreciated as we didn't get there until late, saved a shopping trip until we felt ourselves again after such a long flight! The villa is in a great location and the lakeside location is great. Loved sitting out in the mornings at dust watching the wildlife, even saw a gator! Good distance to all the parks but away enough from the hustle and bustle at the end of the day to wind down. Had problems the Jacuzzi and pool heating but was promptly fixed and even had e-mail from owners back in the UK keeping us updated on this and they reimbursed us the days we missed. When it was up and running was lovely sitting out in the evening taking the stresses of the day out in the Jacuzzi. The games room is a brilliant idea, my teenage son loved the pool table, we had many games in the evening after Jacuzzi time! I better start saving because I would love to come back to Villa Sol!!!

  Owner response: Good communication between our property managers, our guests and ourselves meant that the unforseen problem with the pool heater was resolved quickly and our guests inconvenience was kept to a minimum. Glad you enjoyed the dawn wildlife sightings. The scene changes there seasonally, so if you return at another time of the year, you are likely to find different wildlife species present depending on the month you visit Villa Sol.
