Our group stayed here for 3 nites 1/27-1/30/12. Stephanie was great to work with and prompt with her responses via email. The cabin is simply awesome – very large open main floor space with comfortable couches, large dinner table, plenty of counterspace with seating, nice gas fireplace (complete with elk head above it!) which keeps the place plenty warm with the flip of a switch, washer/dryer, and powder room. Plenty of pots & pans, crockpot, kitchen utensils, dishwasher, and fridge with icemaker. Master bedroom had a nice king size bed, it’s own spacious private bath, along with Jacuzzi tub. We spent a lot of time in the cozy & roomy basement playing pool and watching the X Games. The pellet burning stove was simple to operate and was essential to keeping it warm down there. There were a few nice rocking chairs, 2 couches & 2 loveseats, bathroom, bedroom with two bunkbeds, and a bedroom with a double bed. Pool table is a nice touch downstairs and it got plenty of use (only complaint was that all but 2 sticks needed new tips). Upstairs had a bathroom along with the bedroom with 2 doubles, a bedroom with a double in it, and the loft area with couch & desk (room for queen air mattress if needed). Large upper & lower outdoor deck areas were great and would be really nice for entertaining in warmer weather. Jacuzzi was a bit small as it could only really fit 3, maybe 4 comfortably. Driveway was huge & flat, plenty of room for parking. TV’s were older style in living room & basement, however Steph told us they were upgrading the week after we checked out. Bring your own boom box if you want some tunes. Also there’s no insulation between upstairs and main floor, so sound does travel room to room a little loudly – if you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs or claim a room in the basement. The view of the lake from up on the mountain was great, and the drive over to Wisp ski area was about a 10 minute drive. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within a quick drive as well. Overall we completely enjoyed the stay and would gladly come back to spend more time at this awesome cabin! We might have to tow our boat down this summer for another stay! Thank you for sharing your place, Cornells!

Cornell's Cabin is a wonderful place to stay in Deep Creek! It is beautiful, spacious, quiet, and just a few minutes walk to the lake. It was such a comfortable home with plenty of amenities to make your stay fun and easy. All the little details that you forget to bring to a rental cabin were provided (like toilet paper, paper towels, hair dryer, extra linens, even soaps and shampoos). This place has everything you need and want, is close to shops and the lake, yet is tucked into the woods and very quiet/private. The owner, Stephanie, was very gracious and accomodating, helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend staying in Cornell's Cabin, and we would love to rent it again when we travel to Deep Creek.

We rented this home for this past Memorial Day weekend , it was a fabulous place to stay! The owner, Stephanie, is a pleasure to work and very responsible. Her home is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and clean. The location is one of the best, you can walk down the hill to the roadside coffee house for fresh coffee and morning treats. The lake is also at the bottom of the hill along with ice cream shops to the right, Smiley's , Wisp and ASCI water adventures to the left..all within a short car ride. Our 2 sons, ages 10 and 13 and our golden Buddie, loved the home too! We felt safe, and our kids did not want to leave! We will be back for our next weekend get- away!
