My husband and I just got home from a fantastic week in Bob and Diane's rental. What a great time. The apartment is clean, private, well maintained and very well equiped with everything you will need. The view is beautiful. The private deck is quiet, nothing around but birds and the view. The use of beach towels, chairs, a cooler and snorket gear is an added plus, saves having to rent these things at the beach. Close drive to beaches, shopping and restaurants. Small rental car is needed. Bob and Diane are excellent hosts, there to answer questions and give directions, recommendations, etc., but never invade your privacy.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Absolutely the Only Place We Will Stay on St. Thomas

My husband and I travel for both work and pleasure quite frequently and have never found a place we enjoy staying as much as this! We have stayed at other vacation rentals in the Virgin Islands off steep narrow roads and where noises from town keep you up all night, but this place is completely different. There is easy access to main roads that you can take quickly and easily to town and the beaches, but in their guest apartment you feel worlds away from everything and the gentle sounds of tree frogs in the rainforest-like landscaping below will lull you to sleep at night if you leave the windows open. We enjoyed several meals on the beautiful deck with a view of Magen's Bay that is easily worth every penny of a million dollars! There aren't enough words for how fun and genuinely hospitable Bob and Diane are. They are the most gracious hosts you will find and this was our second of hopefully many stays with them. The amazing beaches of St. Thomas and St. John are worth the long flight from Southern California, but staying at Million Dollar View makes us feel like St. Thomas is our home away from home.

A true million dollar view

From the moment we arrived we only could say "wow".... The apartment was the cleanest and best kept vacation rental we ever had (and I am extremely picky). We found everything we needed: a spacious super clean bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, enough closet space to fit everything, beach equipment, the most beautiful view from our porch and the nicest, most helpful owners who were always there when we needed them with tips and hints and a good conversation. It is a great place for 2 persons, the space is absolutely sufficient and you feel at home immediately. It is a great location and by car you are everywhere on St Thomas within 20-30minutes (you will need a car). We can recommend the Million Dollar View to everyone without any hesitation, and if we come back to the Virgin Islands, we will for sure stay again with Bob and Diane. A real gem! Thank you for everything.

This property is truly a million dollar view. We stayed here for 9 nights and had the best time. Just got home two days ago and we're already missing it! Bob & Diane were great ... they assisted us with recommendations on things to do, restaurants to go to, ferries to St. John, etc. We loved every minute of our trip, and the house was fabulous. The view was just as gorgeous as the pictures, the apt. was the perfect size for us, and it has all the comforts of home. Beach towels, cooler, snorkel equipment - it was great. I think we'll have to plan a trip back!

My husband and I stayed at Million Dollar View for a few days in February. The apartment was perfect for us. It was clean, cozy and we loved sitting out on the deck. As far as the view - the name says it all. The view of Magen's Bay was amazing and we also loved the beautiful flowers and foliage on the property itself. It was a bonus having use of beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler. Overall, we had a fantastic trip and are already dreaming about when we can go back. I would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone looking to spend a few days on the island and wanting to get a taste of what it would be like to live there.

This is the perfect hideaway and the hosts couldn't be more wonderful or more accomodating. They truly made us feel at home and everything far exceeded our highest expectations. We spent time at so many beautiful beaches, but making meals in our great little kitchen and enjoying them on the beautiful deck, surrounded by tropical flowers overlooking the best views on the island, was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We are so thankful we found Bob and Diane and this wonderful guest suite and we hope to return very soon.

We are very grateful that we had the chance to share Bob and Diane's place in paradise. Great location - not far from premium beaches and a charming historic town. Our Peace Haven, a place we loved to come back after daily excursions. The best kept vacation-rental we ever had. Despite modest floor area we never felt cramped. A nice and tidy accommodation. Good value for money. You need a car. Restricted parking space, so a compact car or lower is recommended. You feel that Diane and Bob love their place. Great wild but tended natural frame: a mixture of lush tropical wilderness and Mediterranean garden, a green oasis on a relatively dry island. Situated in a beautiful hilly area which grants freshness and a good natural ventilation. We didn't miss air conditioning. Eco in the best sense! We appreciated the friendly and helpful neighborhood of Bob and Diane. Felt very save. Nice welcome gesture: tropical flowers and... Cruzan Rum. A real million dollar view! We will come back again and would always recommend the place to our most critical friends.

We stayed with Bob and Diane two summers ago and never got around to writing a review. So, let us say without a doubt their studio is absolutely gorgeous and the view is amazing! From the moment we walked down the stairs and saw the balcony we were pleased, then we opened the studio door and knew that we had made the right choice to stay there. The interior is so clean and bright, the kitchen is well stocked with all pots and pans needed for making meals. Bob and Diane were gracious hosts, helping with everything we needed but otherwise not intrusive. We have since moved to St. Thomas and drive by their house everyday and it always brings a smile to our face. We highly recommend this great rental! Mike and Cheryl

Stayed at Million Dollar View in October 2009 (the 11th through the 17th)....to say "Million Dollar View" is an understatement. What's also an understatement is all the kind words previous renters have written about Bob and Diane. Bob and Diane made our trip; they picked us up at the airport, sat with us patiently answering our questions I'm sure they've heard hundreds of times before, made awesome recommendations, and "poof" were gone and not being obtrusive at all. Thanks so much to two great individuals who helped us have one of our best vacations ever. Also, sorry for "forgetting" to enter our comments...got a VRBO email and remembered.... St. Thomas is a blast, and I even felt I mastered driving on the wrong side of the road. One recommendation...choose restaurants wisely (with Bob and Diane's help!!) Bob and Diane, We had an amazing time. The apartment was more than we had hoped for. All the comforts of home Affordable and Great hosts to boot. It really helps having great hosts it made the trip much more enjoyable. We loved the watching the hummingbirds and the little bananaquits from so close up. I named one of them fat pig because he kept hogging ALL the nector. LOL The view, I cannot seem to find the right words to describe it. beautiful serine and breathetaking all come to mind. This is the greatest place we've stayed! The view is the most unimaginable sight ever and Bob and Diane made it feel like we were locals instead of visitors! I would never go back to a hotel after this experience. The place was spotless and perfectly decorated to make you feel at home and on vacation at the same time. WoW!!! Million Dollar view is an understatement. The view was magnificent. The setting was perfect - your own piece of heaven. Great way to experience the island of St Thomas. The accomodations and amenities provided by our hosts were spot on - balcony overlooking meaghan's bay, sound system, snorkeling gear, beach towels and much, much more - all made for a relaxing stay. Very affordable, Receives our highest recommendation.

We were very happy with the Million Dollar View apartment and fully recommend staying there. The view is as advertised, and the place is cool, clean, quiet and comfortable. You will sleep well and get the rest you need for your island adventures. Bob and Diane were both helpful and pleasant. They lent us beach towels, chairs and snorkeling gear for the stay, as well as tips on where to go for snorkeling, shopping or a bite. The hummingbirds by the deck were cool too.

This is truly a really great place to spend some time!! The description of the appartment and the views were no exageration. Robert and Diane were the best hosts you could ever wish for. Actually, without their help while we were there, our vacation could have turned into a disaster. They made us feel really welcome and were so helpful all through our week with them. The scuba diving was excellent also - great corals and fish life. I would recommend this place to any couple wanting a getaway break on a beautiful caribbean island with friendly people.

This apartment was great!! My husband and I visited the Virgin Islands for a belated honeymoon and had a blast. If you are looking for an excellent vacation you should consider this place. There is an beautiful view and it is located very near 2 excellent beaches. We would recommend Hull Bay. We spent most of our time there. Robert and Diane, our hosts, were very kind to loan us a cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, and snorkel gear. We didn't have to worry about renting/buying anything but food and drinks!

We just stayed at Million Dollar View 1/18/09-26/09. Bob and Diane were the perfect hosts.They were knowledgeable and gracious.They were there when you needed them, otherwise you had your privicey. The property was perfect. You will never tire of the beautiful view from your private deck over looking the bay, other islands and turquoise seas.Bob and Diane have thought of everything that you will need to make your trip enjoyable and stressless. Bob & Diane went out of their way to make our stay comfortable from the night we arrived until the day we departed. We prefer quaint, clean, & comfortable accomodations rather than huge cruise ships or toursity hotels. Million Dollar View definitely fit the criteria and exceeded our expectations for such an extremely reasonable price! The bed was comfortable & the kitchen was fully stocked for cooking some of our own meals. Our own balcony overlooking the islands and Magen's Bay was the perfect spot to start the morning with a cup of coffee... watching the sunrise and the hummingbirds feeding. The evenings were also relaxing as the flowers really release their fragrance and the peaceful sounds of nature sing you to sleep. We also appreciated Bob & Diane's information and advice about the islands as well as the use of their beach towels and beach chairs. The location is very central to various beaches. If you have a rental car to get around, this is the place to stay. We highly recommend it!

My husband and I just returned from St. Thomas and we can't wait to return! The description the view of the rental is perfect! Waking up every morning to Magen's Bay was wonderful! The apartment was well equipted, cozy, and very clean! Diane was very helpful and suggested some places to visit! I personally loved the snorkling at Coki's Beach! My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much that I found a job on the island and we are moving there in a few months! You can't go wrong with this rental! I hope you love your stay as much as we did!!! Just returned from a wonderful visit to St Thomas. The apartment, with your own private entrance, is INCREDIBLY CLEAN and new with a spacious modern bathroom, large bedroom (with HUGE closets) and fully equipped kitchen. The owners/hosts were fantastic - very friendly and super helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who is picky about where they stay. The view is stunningly breathtaking!

The perfect location for an affordable yet exotic tropical getaway for two. Gives you the freedom to prepare some of your own meals in a newly remodeled and well-equipped kitchen, and relax in a peaceful, private place with a spectacular view. Close enough to great restaurants, downtown shopping, and a wonderful selection of beaches to keep you as busy as you want to be. The hosts are accommodating and eager to share local knowledge about activities, but also respect your privacy and are unobtrusive. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Fantastic place. Hosts were friendly and accomodating. Everything in the apt is brand new. The location is great - just minutes from town - yet a world away with a spectacular view. I loved the tropical flowers(and fruit!). Can't wait to go back.
