We stayed at Two Feathers with friends for three days while enjoying snowmobiling in the Yellowstone area. The cabin couldn't have been more clean and cozy. When we arrived, the owners, Bill and Rose, had the fireplace ready to light up, the kitchen fully stocked with all the utensils and the bathrooms filled with more towels than you'd ever need. The cabin was close to everything we needed.....restaurants, grocery stores and snowmobiles. I would highly recommend Two Feathers to anyone staying the Yellowstone area. It feels like home!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This place reflects the love and hard work of the owners! The owners have put so much of themselves into the decor -- handmade furniture, decorations -- and it is absolutely spotless. We are fussy in our accommodation choices and believe us when we say that you will not ever find a place that is as clean as this one. And it is wonderfully appointed with everything you could possibly want to make your stay a great one! We could not believe the abundance of linens and bath towels and kitchen appliances. Do not hesitate in renting this lovely, funky and lovingly maintained cabin! Two Feathers is a gem!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Absolutely perfect cabin. Beautiful and comfortable. The owners have thought of every necessity and made it such a special place. We knew when we rented it that it was in town and not in the woods. The owners do live right next door, which we really enjoyed. We were able to ask about restaurants and activities and just have some nice chats. Wonderful people. There is a little garden out back, with trees that make for a secluded feeling even though you are right next to the other houses. The little decorating touches really make it cozy and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and there is anything you might need in the kitchen, including coolers you can borrow. It was also absolutely immaculate. We've stayed in several VRBO rentals and this one would top our list. You can tell the owners take pride in their cabin. The only views are of the garden area or the street and you are in town, but if you are looking for a really nice place to stay in town, I would highly recommend this cabin. We even enjoyed a little picnic on the table next to the driveway and I don't think I heard a sound. There was also a full park/playground one block away (we have a 4 year old). We will definitely be back someday. Perfect gateway to Yellowstone's West Entrance and to the Wolf and Grizzly Discovery Center. Bill and Rose made it wonderful, and our son was in love with their dog, Emma.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your thoughtful and informative review!! We are thrilled that you and your family were so pleased with our cabin & that your vacation to West Yellowstone was adventurous and enjoyable. We hope to see you in the future. Happy Trails!

Staying at Two Feathers is like the sweet icing on a chocolate cake. We would spend all day hiking in the Park and then be able to relax in a comfortable, CLEAN and lovely cabin. Thank you for the advice concerning grocery shopping. We enjoyed as a family eating our meals here in your very well equipped kitchen. Our most amazing vacation yet! We so enjoyed the area and the house was FABULOUS! We couldn't have asked for more. The attention to every detail Rose & Bill put into the house is very much appreciated. We want to come back to Yellowstone again not only to see all the wonderful sites, but to stay at Two Feathers Cabin! It truly made our vacation relaxing and comfortable. Thanks again Rose & Bill for everything - and we hope to be back again! PS. Thanks for the use of the coolers & binoculars - Was great to have a couple extra pairs, lots less fights in the cars among the kids!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This property is misrepresented and way overpriced. It's just a residential home in a semi residential area, Yes it's a 2 BR 2 bath, you'll have to walk thru the kitchen for one of the baths. Both toilets are of the old style very small round type ,not the newer elongated that most now use if that's important to some.. It's got a neighboring house just 4 feet away on one side and a cheap motel across the street that has idleing diesel buses sitting out front early in the morning. . It is clean and the owners live just 30 feet away in a house in the rear. There are better values in town ,but if you want a true cabin experiance this is not it !Stayed June 2011Owner response: Over Priced?? Al, We should have known from the beginning after you badgered us into a lower rate, then wanted to slide on paying the tax, that we should have told you to look elsewhere. That's just plain rude, not good business & frankly you should be ashamed of yourself. A motel suite with comparable space would cost near $600 & would not include a well equipped kitchen, a brand new convection oven/range nor a brand new washer/dryer. The town of West Yellowstone, by some peoples standards, is not quite as "highly polished" a resort destination as some other areas could be considered. It's the rustic charm that people are drawn to, most importantly it is the gateway to Yellowstone. Yes there will be motels and cabins nearby it is zoned commercial/residential & you will find tour busses warming up around town on occasion including in front of the high priced Wyndham's World Mark, where we wish you had stayed. If you wanted remote seclusion then you should have booked something out of town. In-town guests enjoy being within walking distance to markets, restaurants etc. The property is 150' x 100' & our home is well away from the cabin. We totally respect the privacy of our guests & would never encroach unless needed. We take great pride of ownership in our "creation", we go out of our way to keep the grounds beautiful & have made every effort within our capabilities to improve & upgrade the cabin every year with new furnishings, lighting etc., the toilets are not elongated, so sorry! We have NOT misrepresented Two Feathers Cabin in any way & it is well worth the rates. We are so sorry that you felt your experience was less than desirable. We have addressed every point of your "commentary". For future guests looking to stay with us please disregard the dismal viewpoints of the individual. The "VRBO Bear" gave a GREAT review of Two Feathers Cabin and so have many, many other West Yellowstone visitors!

It is always a sad feeling when a marvelous vacation comes to an end. Two factors which have contributed to the succes of our vacation are: the overwhelming and inspiring beauty of Yellowstone and very important, the AAA+++ rating of the Two Feathers Cabin with our charming hosts, Rose and Bill, who offered a very cozy and comfortable lodging adorned with original and artful design and artifacts of this lovely mountain region. We have a saying in our country that somebody who gives a good and outstanding performance may put a feather on his hat. But, Rose & Bill, you can put a hundred feathers on yours! My husband and I brought his parents to West Yellowstone this week-end and couldn't have been more delighted with our accomodations and Two Feathers! This is a simply marvelous, spacious, cabin with a modern feel. Two sitting areas, two fireplaces (one gas and one wood) and two full bathrooms! It was delightful to sit in front of the big picture window, next to the cozy fire and stare out at the snow banks. Having stayed in West Yellowstone in the past, our expectations were not high, but we left feelling like it would be very theraputic to spend more time enjoying this cozy cabin. Thanks to Bill and Rose for a fabulous stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are happy that you found the cabin so relaxing and "just right" ;o) . Hopefully you and your family will be able to visit Two Feathers Cabin for a longer stay in the future. Thanks again and Happy Trails!

We came to West Yellowstone & Two Feathers for our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for more. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and equipped w/everything we needed! But most importantly, Rose and Bill, you two are so wonderful. Your warmth and hospitality was so appreciated. Had a beautiful XC ski on the Riverside Trail and the Rendezvous Ski Trails are AMAZING! Also took a snowcoach tour and had a wonderful adventure. We definitely want to return during the summer/fall and explore Yellowstone further - and we will most certainly stay here again! We have stayed at Two Feathers Cabin for four years in a row, and we are going back again in January. I won't stay anyplace else, although we did stay at three other places until we found Two Feathers. The pictures just don't due the cabin justice, it is so cozy, very clean, and Rose and Bill are there if you need something, but don't bother you at all. The kitchen is like a Chef's dream come true. We eat all our meals there and you name it and it is there to use! Use the crock pot to cook dinner, so when we come back from a day of snowmobiling, there is dinner. We mentioned one year that it would be nice to have a light by the chair by the pot belly stove, and next year there was a light! Nice to be able to re-pack your suitcase to go home with clean clothes. The second bathroom is very nice, just like any house that has two bathrooms, one and one end of the house and other at the other end. We are going there for our fifth year in a row, and we would never haggle over price, you know when you book your stay, what it will cost. We are just so thankful that they are willing to share this wonderful cabin. I would recommend this cabin to everyone.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Evelyn & Dave ~ Thank you so much for your positive review!! We have enjoyed getting to know you and your family over the years and Bill and myself really appreciate your support and most importantly that you enjoy the accomodations at Two Feathers Cabin! We look forward to your coming here annually & staying in the cabin and that you so enjoy the miles and miles of unspoiled natural beauty that surrounds the town of West Yellowstone, that's a given! It's people like you that make our lives worth while!! We look forward to seeing you SOON! It's not so far off, thanks again dear friends, Rose & Bill

After coming to West Yellowstone almost every year for 12 years, we have found a warm, cozy and spacious cabin to stay in. Being that we have a log cabin now, we enjoy how others decorate theirs and look forward to getting some of Rose's works. We have never seen as much snow in West Yellowstone before. The south plateau still is a favorite snowmobile trail for the snow covered trees. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for your fine hospitallity and maybe we'll see you again next year!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

How sad it is to leave this wonderful place. We enjoyed exploring Yellowstone then coming home to our little Eden. The robin taking a shower, the beautiful flowers outside the kitchen window, the twinkle lights at night, the well equiped kitchen, and big fluffy toels will add to our special memories of this place. WE had a great time here with our cousins from Puerto Rico. We toured the Park 4 days. We even had snow yesterday going through Sylven Pass near the east entrance. Great cabin once again on a return visit. Bill & Rose, you are awesome. Had several days of incredible fishing. Lamar River, caught some huge 16 - 19" fish (cuthrout trout). Saw an amazing amount of wildlife. Even 2 grizzlies and I'd been to the Park 10 - 12 times over the last 20 years and had never seen one before this trip. We had the most wonderful week at 2 Feathers. The cabin was the perfect spot for us. We hiked everyday. The most pleasant hike was the south rim of the canyon! We were amazed by the river, falls, canyon, forest, prarie and bisons! Breath taking views everywhere we went. We also took road trip to Idaho, we enjoyed watching fishermen & birds, saw waterfalls & springs. Another highlight was horseback riding at Diamond P Ranch and then rodeo in the evening! Both worthy of the cost! We ate in the well equiped kitchen but would recommend trying the Mexican Bus for south of the border fare! Dear Rose, Bill & sweet EmmaWe have stayed in many rental homes while vacationing over the years—Orlando, Fl, San Francisco, Ca, Red River, NM, Folley Beach, SC, Yosemite, CA and others, but none even come clost to the beautiful, comfortable cozy home you have here.Thank you so much for all the extras you provided. The coffee & tea were a wonderful way to begin our mornings. And having access to the ice chests and storage containers allowed us to pack picnic lunches for our trips into the Park. We enjoyed browsing through your book sl=elections in the evenings when we returned from our adventures in Yellowstone. We appreciate the recommendation of a nearby location to ride horses—the kids really enjoyed it and were thrilled to see bald eagles at Earthquake Lake. So glad Bill mentioned the trip. We hate to leave your lovely cabin and the beautiful, cool weather to return to our hot home state. We’ll think of you often this summer and long to be back. Hopefully we can do this again—perhaps during the winter to see all the snow!Thank you again,Stephanie, Tim & TJ & Colton & HunterDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family stayed at Two Feathers in Feb of 2007 and its a very nice place. The home is missing nothing and it was cozy, warm, and nicely furnished. Im one of those people who must sleep with a fan at night and Rose even ordered one for the place. Although it didnt arrive in time for my stay, thats great service!! I know the fan will be there next time I stay. We walked to the snowmobile rental about 2 blocks away and parked our sleds right at the home. Having a vacation rental property myself in Park City, UT (147189 on vrbo), I want my guests to have the best experience possible. Bill and Rose put those same standards in place for their guests. I have stayed in Yellowstone a few times and this place is by far the best--especially the location. Its walking distance to everything in town. Rose and Bill are extremely nice and helpful people and made our stay quite comfortable. The next time I make it back to Yellowstone, I will stay at Two Feathers.Owner response: Greetings Carter! Thanks for the favorable guest comment, we appreciate it. Yes, there is a fan in the cabin now ready to sooth the resting and cool the over heated. We hope you had a wonderful winter in Park City, Utah. Thanks again, Rose & Bill

Here we are just a few days past Christmas and heading into the coldest time of year. The lowest temperature I've seen in this town was 62 degrees below zero, brrrr - I believe that was in the early 80's and yes it was on New Years Day. We have been blessed by great snowfall to date! Our Christmas guests carved out a wonderful snowman in the front yard and had a grand time with the snow sleds, The nearby city park has great snow mounds built up for sledding and is a popular spot among winter visitors. Snowmobile trails in the area are well groomed and a joy for touring. Previous guests enjoyed opening day in Yellowstone Park, viewing lots of wildlife and spectacular scenery from the comfort of a snowcoach.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

In mid OCT - Yellowstone is breathing! Giant, wooly buffalo heads, a few feet away, pillaging for the last scrap of grassland. A huge bull-elk, meeting my stare at q few yards, ramming the car as I slipped quickly inside. The sheer bulk of a lonely bull moose, standing at the swamps’ edge. My absolute enchantment of waking up at dawn, to a dazzling world of white; the Two Feathers, fireplace roaring, my husbands hot coffee, brewing. My monochrome image of the night’s steel gray skies had transformed West Yellowstone, into a wonderland. We've stayed at several new & beautiful VRBO homes, but none compared to Two Feathers! It was PERFECT for many reasons. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you'd need; from seasonings to maple syrup to plastic wrap. But the cozy atmosphere and the ideal layout of this, large, cabin made us, almost reluctant to leave for the park. Rose & Bill are fabulous hosts. They offered directions, laid out a nice fire in the FP, for our 1st night and they helped us sort out new options for a closed road, in snowy conditions. I will definately be back, as well as referring friends to this lovely cabin in beautiful West Yellowstone. Big THANKS to Rose & Bill.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Approaching Fall in Yellowstone country at Two Feathers Cabin. It has been a remarkably busy summer with travelers from the United Kingdom and all over the country. We noticed quite a lot of vacationers waiting to book lodging until just before their visit, most of our guests were confirmed in January ... BOOK WELL IN ADVANCE! The grounds at the cabin have taken on a sunny disposition from the multitude of sunflowers popping up in every corner, plantings care of the industrious spring squirrels and chimpmunks. It's an amazing sight, some of the flowers are 8 feet tall! The strawberry patch in the front has filled out beautifully and was a joy to many. Another rare treat for us was the incredible amount of hummingbirds that graced the area this season, the Rufus, Ruby Throated and possibly the Calliope were among the chipper summer "sky faires". They are all but departed now, happy trails & come again next year! We look to enjoy a lot more rain next summer and hope that the winter brings many heavy blankets of snow. Soon it will be quite cool in the mornings and the leaves of the Mountain Ash will begin to turn as we head towards the second season.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dear Rose & Bill,When strangers like us are seeking a place to connect with the history and culture of the marvelous area, they should set their home base here at Two Feathers Cabin. We’re already looking forward to our next visit here. This place is filled with comfort and inspiration. It is here, where our one year old boy got his nickname “little dancing feather”, since this clean and safe environment enabled him to practice his cruisin’ skills.Alexander “Little Dancing Feather” (1 yr. Dear Rose & Bill, we just wanted to thank you very much for this wonderful retreat - base of operations - discovery central! We couldn't have been more comfortable or at home. You've equipped the cabin perfectly. Only a chef could have made our stay easier!! Also, during our stay, we were privalaged and blessed to witness the birth of a buffalo, which we named Madison, for the river he was born next to. Keep an eye on him for us!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Here we are, gearing up for our springtime visitors at Two Feathers Cabin. We can't wait until we can plant the seedlings we've already started to add to the landscaping! Wildflower mixes along with blanket flower and garlic chives are on the menu to compliment the other perrenials already on site. A few things will be moved around to make room for more suitable plantings. The long awaited birdbath/fountain/waterfeature is finally in place! All of our feathered friends, not to mention us, are truly enjoying this high country oasis. We are really looking forward to actually meeting the guests that we've been booking since last fall.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Here we are in late winter with spring just around the snowpile. Although we have not had record numbers of visitors to the cabin we can say that the ones we've had have been wonderful. Snow conditions really improved after a brief dry spell so now there's plenty for the sledders, skiiers and snowshoe hikers. It's also great to see birds coming back to the area, the Pine Grosbeak, a species I've never seen here before, has been loving the peanut butter blend we put out, even though they have to fight the resident squirrell for it. Soon the the aspens will be budding out and the wildflowers will be popping up everywhere.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our first winter welcoming guests at Two Feathers Cabin has been exciting. Our Thanksgiving visitors took advantage of fabulous skiing on the Rendezvous ski trail and Fall ski clinic - they especially loved the fully equipped kitchen for preparing their feast. Christmas and New Year's guests have been thrilled with great snow for snowmobiling and other winter sports - they have also been pleased by the more than adequate parking areas for their sleds and trailers. Everyone comments about how comfortable and cozy the cabin has been during their stay - there's nothing like gathering around the fireplace on a blustery evening enjoying good company and a warm hearth in Yellowstone country.Did you find this review helpful? We have had the most wonderful summer season sharing our cabin with so many interesting people. All of our guests have been so appreciative of the amenities that the cabin has to offer and the true sense of "home" that they feel when they walk through the door. Thank you to all of our summer guests. Rose & Bill Two Feathers CabinDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Comment from the owners: We just had our first guests at Two Feathers Cabin. They were the sweetest people and we hope that they will come again soon for a visit. They seemed to throughly enjoy their stay with us and felt "right at home".Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
