The resort is right next to a championship golf course and within a few minutes of walking distance to the marina and a large selection of restaurants, sidewalk cafes and boutiques. It is only a five minute taxi ride from the airport, and a 15 to 20 minute taxi ride (US$6 to $8) to downtown Puerto Vallarta or 30 minutes by bus (4 pesos, about 40 cents).

What a beautiful place. We spent 6 months and we loved every minute of it. We had a wonderful time. The city Puerto Vallarta is just a short cab ride away. The condo is beautifully decorated, well equipped, in a great and quiet location, immaculately clean and a solid value. Steps away from the beach. The resort style pool was is heated and never crowded. It offered all the extras such as DVD's, and books. The owners answered questions and e-mails promptly and were very helpful. We will stay in this unit again in the future.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway.

If you want to enjoy a home away from home with all the modern conveniences this is the place. You can enjoy designer furniture with taste, all new technology, cable, DVD, CD, WiFi, HP laptop with printer. An expansive view of pools, jacuzzi, lush greenery and the ocean from the balcony. Take a short walk to a breathtaking marina with many restaurants and shops to satisfy everyone's taste's. The Marina Golf course, a nature preserve, is in your back yard. We have been coming here for five years and look forward to future visits.

We stayed at this beautiful oceanfront condo during the last week of May and it was a perfect place for us to kick back and relax. This condo is located in a great location. Marina is in a 5-minute walking distance we walked to dine and shop. Taxi can be found easily outside the condo complex. Local bus stop is right at the front gate that we rode daily to tour and explore downtown. Wal-Mart and Costco are nearby at the major bus stop. During our stay, we feel very comfortable and secure at this guarded community. Condo manager and his staffs are very friendly and helpful to answer our questions. The computer and free Internet access in this condo provided our daily connection with our family and friends. The kitchen has utensils, plates, coffeemaker, microwave, appliances just like home. The condo is clean and quiet. The living room faces beautiful ocean view with palm tree and swimming pool in the backdrop. We watched the cruise ship sailing to the marina harbor in the morning from the living room. The huge swimming pool is perfect place for cooling off in the late afternoon. We watched the beautiful sunset while walking on the beach in the evening. We would FOR SURE stay here again!!

We stayed at the condo for first week of June. The condo was a perfect vacation accommodation for our small family. It is clean, quiet and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen had the necessary utensils & plates as well as microwave & coffee maker which we used often. The patio was ideal & I found myself reading & dozing off as the sun sets. The pool is large and oftentimes unoccupied-perhaps it was "offseason". The temperature was perfect & had a hard time leaving the pool at night (they also have a small deli). We decided to have a maid service to come in 3 times during the week for a small fee of $30. The maid was very thorough and surprisingly, washed our clothes that was in the hamper. Imagine coming back from the pool & your clothes are washed, nicely folded atop the bed (I doubt the Marriott's housekeeping will do that). The use of the TV w/DVD & computer/printer was also a very nice feature. My husband was able to conduct business (reluctantly), and I was able to find specific tours (go to vallarta adventures com for the kid's dolphin tours--if you book the tour online you get 10% off). There is a large grocery store called Comercial Mexicano and for a very nominal fee (US$5-7), we took a taxi (it is walking distance though) and shopped for groceries that we needed for our one week stay. We took a cab back to the condo and we were set. I was told there was a Sam's Club or Walmart close by--but we found everything we needed at Comercial Mexicano (there is also an ATM there). Taxis are everywhere and we found that it was better to always asked "how much" before we got in. Our family would walk to the marina in the morning and take a cab back (it was just too hot sometimes). We ate at the Marriott for lunch-La Estancia and for dinner-Mikado Japanese Restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants around the marina and you simply must go to Mr. Cream for breakfast/brunch (the waffles are "just like home"). Favorites-- while there are some exercise equipment at the condo --my husband found & much preferred the Gold's Gym (he took a taxi from $5-7). The gym had a boxing program with private lessons. Very reasonable daily/weekly rate. My daughter enjoyed the pool and I could not take her out. And as for me, the massages at the marina is just unbelievably cheap and professional. Your condo was just what we needed but more than we expected . Most rental units are a wee bit worn looking so when I walked in the door,it was a very pleasant surprise- bright,new,and tastefully decorated .Most things in the kitchen looked like they had never been used . The main reason we had chosen this condo over others was because of the high speed internet access set-up with computer included. The water cooler was a big added plus especially when all you need do is ask for a refill from the gate for $3.00 .We enjoyed the gym facility (very handy) as well. Porto Fino is well located in the marina area of P.V. It is a quiet well run facility. Walking to restaurants is great and the down town area is an inexpensive 60 peso ride.Your condo was a very good find. Mucho gracias !
