The personal touch we received from Claire from our first inquiry to this property, to the detailed rental package, the arrival greeting and personal tour from Claire of our immediate surroundings when we got there, mid week housekeeping and the personal farewell made this trip feel more like staying with family. Claire takes pride in her property and made sure we enjoyed our stay. The refrigerator is stocked with some essentials before you arrive and basket full of goodies was very much appreciated by all (fruit, cookies, coffee)! The condo is on the 10th floor and at the end of the hallway. It was magnificently clean and inviting and we felt right at home. The coin-operated laundry room and trash shoot are located right out the door in the hallway and there is no noticeable noise from either of these rooms. Many nights we would prop open the front door of the condo for a breeze and to listen for our wash to be finished. The property itself is clean and has a friendly staff. We never got to use the pool but did use the on-site gas BBQ (don’t buy charcoal) nor did we use the free internet provided by the hotel as the condo has it’s own and the cable will reach out on to the table on the lanai! The free parking and internet was a GREAT added benefit as I was still working and we were gone everyday in our rental car. Coffee on the lanai in the early mornings watching the sunrise somehow made having to work while I was on vacation not so bad. The view of sunrises and evening time of Diamond Head from the Lanai were spectacular, the kind that never turn out as good in a photo. The sounds of the Howler monkeys drifting up from the Honolulu Zoo located a block away brought smiles to our boys (age 7 & 9). We even got to hear some of Jimmy Buffet's concert from the Shell. Everything was is within walking distance for our family of 4, Zoo, Aquarium, International Market Place and even a small grocery store. We cooked and ate mostly in the condo. The on-property market place is also a good place to grab items forgotten and at a reasonable price. There is an ABC store located on the same street. Waikiki beach is minutes walking distance and we found ourselves going back and forth throughout the day to grab things we forgot or make sandwiches, charge camera batteries etc it is that close yet it sits far enough back to avoid the noise of the hustle and bustle of the main street. This was our first trip to Oahu as a family and it won’t be our last and the only place we will be staying is at Clare’s. In writing this review I looked at the pictures of the property again and they are as they appear. Wish I was still there... Mahalo Claire and hope to see you again in 2008! Darlene, Rick and boys

It is not often that it can be said that one of the biggest differences in a vacation was the condo hostess, but that's what ours was. We only saw her a couple of times but the care and preparation, the follow through and the thoughtfulness she puts into the place were a huge factor in our stay at Waikiki. Our time there was busy with a conference but the condo was such a nice place to come back to. Its nearness to the beach ( a couple of blocks), its dynamic view of Diamondhead with the sunrises over its outcropping each morning made the stay special. Thank you for all you did to make the busyness of the week seem less stressful because of the condo.

The condo was clean, neat, well kept and in a perfect location for us... just a couple blocks from the beach, the stores, the parades, and the restaurants. We would encourage anyone traveling with 4 or less people to check out this place. Well worth it!

First family vacation with 2 boys (age 11 & 8)

Clare is an amazing lady, answering all my emails and even calling by phone to make sure we were ready to go. We arrived after 11pm and she met us at the entrance to the underground parking. She was always there to phone if needed. The photos of the condo do not begin to show how beautiful it really is. We felt so at home in Clare's place and she left a basket of local goodies and condiments in the fridge. All kitchen cupboards are stocked with regular daily items. On the beautiful Lanai tucked away are boogie boards, chairs and towels for the beach ready to go. Laundry and trash just outside the door (with NO hotel noise ever noticed). The room was cool, clean and comfortable! We enjoyed every morning watching the sun come up over Diamond Head sipping on a cup of Hawaiian coffee! Thanks again Clare for a FABULOUS first vacation and we hope to come back soon! The Harris Family from Canada!!

Our family of 4 (including 2 young boys) stayed here for 12 nights and the photos do not do this condo justice! VERY clean and VERY well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with all cooking appliances you would need, plus a cupboard full of condiments to add to your meals! You truly do feel at home here. Clare was a perfect hostess from beginning to end. Fast response to emails and quick to answer any questions. The condo is very well located. Just a few blocks to the beach where the breakwall there makes it very appealing for swimming with young children and a short stroll to the heart of Waikiki. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous time and this unit is perfect for any length of stay in Waikiki. It's just far enough off the main strip but close enough for a quick walk to the beach or shops. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need if you choose to cook a meal or two, Clare has thought of everything and works hard to ensure her guests are comfortable. We are leaving today and are very sad, we will miss the "Royal Leahi" and the beautiful sunrise we watched every morning from the lanai with our coffee. Yes, the view of Diamond Head fills up the windows and it is a beautiful sight. Mahalo, we hope to be back to Waikiki and the "Royal Leahi" again soon.

I have spend so precious time, and could feel relax here. Clare's condo is perfect for us because there is everything we need and very clean!! Especially, we like the view from Lanai! Beautiful Diamond Head there! It was great! In addition, Clare is very and very kindly, and has a great tender heart. I hope I could stay at Clare's unit again!

Clare's condo was truly "our home away from home." It is very cozy, charming, and most importantly clean and well maintained. There were touches of Hawaii throughout the unit that reminded us we were on this magical island from the wonderful art pieces to the tiki torches and colorful books. Cabinets were stocked with all essential necessities to cook with - pots, pans, dinnerware, etc and they were all sparkling clean. She even provided cooking oil and spices! Clare is a great host. She responds quickly to email and kept in touch with us throughout the booking process and checked in with us a few days after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I can't wait for a return visit to Hawaii and will absolutely contact Clare for future reservations.

The location was ideal, the beach and zoo were just 2 blocks away, a grocery store was within walking distance. The condo itself was in spotless condition, and everything seemed brand new. We were very impressed with Clare's warm welcome on the night of our arrival, and how she made us feel at home immediately. We were especially impressed with her linen change half way through the week, which also included a full cleaning of the condo. Our toddlers appreciated her supply of snorkels, boogie boards and other beach toys. It was convenient having the concierge service downstairs, and they were helpful on various occasions.
