This cottage on 60,000 square feet of property offers tranquil respite from the world of stressors. With privacy and easy access to Route 187, it provides quiet times as well as travel opportunities to Bar Harbor, Canada, Campobello, and Arcadia. Puffin tours and the famous shipping port of Jonesport, mix new world amenities with old world; old-fashioned, Down East hospitality. Lobster, crab and other seafood is always abundant and available.

The gas stove provides heat and warmth and a romantic touch as you view Bar Island and Chandler Bay's sunrises and sunsets. If lucky, the full moon will provide you with the view the cottage is named for "Shimmering Point". Outside, the ocean breeze can be enjoyed on the hammock or lounge chairs or just enjoyed from the wrap-around deck.

This is truly a peaceful place.

  • We really enjoyed the time at the cottage - watched Eagles, listened to the waves lap the shore, ate out on the deck, watched the tides come and go. The cottage is very well maintained and very comfortable. Don't miss buying lobsters right off the dock, or hiking Great Wass Island, walking the beach at Roque Bluffs or touring Campabello Island!!
