Chalet is on a one acre, mostly level lot with 225 feet lakefront located in Lake Ashuelot Estates: a private, quiet, family-oriented association. The association has a tennis court, basketball hoop, playground for toddlers and older kids, and a beach with swimming area with raft, all within walking distance.
The house has a wrap around deck and a large level, private sandy beach which is perfect for small children. The open living room/dining room/kitchen area with fireplace overlooks the lake.The second-floor master bedroom has two twin beds and a private deck with waterfront view. There are two additional bedrooms on the top floor, one with a trundle bed and one with a full bed. There is an additional bedroom with two a trundle bed on the main floor. On the ground level is a finished, walkout basement with a regulation-sized pool/ping pong table and wood burning stove.
Enjoy scenic Lake Ashuelot on the two-person (or one adult, two children) sailboat, perfect for teaching kids to sail. Or, use the canoe to explore the river at the end of the lake. Relax in a hammock on the deck or watch the sensational sunsets from the porch swing. Pick blueberries from the bushes near the beach or fish from the beach or boat (fishing license required for over 16). The beach is perfect for sitting in your beach chair, sunning, swimming and floating on inner tubes. Bring your lunch to the picnic table adjacent to the beach. Some sand toys are available for kids. Don't worry there are plenty of board and card games available for those occasional rainy days!
There are lots of antique stores in the area and beautiful Lake Sunapee and the Mt Sunapee Ski Area are within a half hour drive. Pillsbury State Forest is only 15 minutes away. Pictures of the interior of the house are available by e-mail. |
