We had a wonderful time at this beach home. The pictures don't do it justice. It has a nice view of the beach from the kitchen, the living room, and one of the bedrooms upstairs. It is very modern and beautifully decorated with photos, paintings, and sculptures that are nature and sea-inspired. The TV is huge with surround sound, the beds were all comfortable, and all of the appliances looked pretty new (and all worked well). When we arrived, the owner gave us a quick tour of the property and showed us where our parking spaces were. She answered all of our questions and answered her phone whenever we called. Just about anything we could need was already there for our use: a pack 'n' play crib, beach chairs, some cleaning supplies, some paper products to get you started if you forgot to bring some and need to run out to the store, cooking supplies, etc. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off before coming in so as not to bring in so much sand. There is a broom and dustpan as well as a vacuum for your use to clean up any messes you do bring in (as is stated in the contract). We had our three young children with us and had no problem keeping things pretty clean. As for the area, the house is steps from the beach and a short walk to the pier. If you want typical fried beach food, the restaurants in the area are fine. If you want a nice dinner, I recommend taking a drive to Portland. We didn't have a good experience with restaurants in the towns surrounding Old Orchard but Portland was great. Lots of restaurants and the one we ate at (wish I could remember the name) was very good, kid friendly, and the service was great. The beach itself was clean, and the only day it was really crowded during our stay was on the 4th of July. But normally there was plenty of space to choose from. Overall, it was a great stay and if we ever do a Maine beach vacation again we would definitely stay here! And we would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Place was very nice. Major problem was broken lock on porch door. Landlord did not replace it so we replaced it ourselves and were later reprimanded for this. Also, prepare to have a cleaning crew come in when you leave. We cleaned..........even scrubbed the toilets!!! and were not given entire sercurity back because there was sand in the house! Really!!! .its on the beach!! If you cant clean up sand I suggest you dont rent to families with children. Its too bad, because all in all place was nice...owners, not so much.

I've just returned from my 4 day trip and I have to say it was really nice. The house is near to the beach and you'e got everything at walking distance. I recommand it and I would rent again.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed at this rental last August. Despite the rainy weather we had most of the week this turned out to be a great place to be. Great Views, Walk onto the beach in seconds, Close enough to the Peer to enjoy it but not too close to the crowds. The house itself was very well maintained, clean, modern. There were 9 of us & we were very pleased with the whole set-up. We highly recomend this house.

This home has been recently renovated tastefully. Lovely view of ocean from kitchen. Very nice patio with grill for outside dining. Great being so close to the water. Very clean also. Would highly recommend for renting.
