Wake up and watch the sun rise over the ocean from the spacious deck and enjoy the beautiful lake view from the bedroom and watch the sunset at the end of the day. Turn the corner and be on the beach in no time at all. Take a lazy stroll to the boardwalk or downtown for local fare and flavor. If you do have to stay inside, enjoy the new LCD HDTV installed in 2011 and relax.
Park your car when you arrive and walk to everything in Carolina Beach! Or take a short drive to Carolina Beach pier (2 miles), Kure Beach Fishing Pier (five miles), Fort Fisher (seven miles), North Carolina Aquarium (seven miles), Carolina Beach State Park (two miles). Or take a longer trip to visit Historic Wilmington (17 miles), USS North Carolina battleship (17 miles). Or catch the ferry at Fort Fisher and visit Southport.
Covered parking is available under the unit for two vehicles. Keeps your car cool in the summer and makes loading/unloading of beach gear easier.

We live in Mebane NC (about 3 hours drive from Carolina Beach) with our dogs and cats. Although not natives of NC, we have lived here for over 10 years and enjoy the central location of access to the mountains and beach. Ever since we discovered vacation rentals, this is the only way we travel (hotels seem so restrictive and claustraphobic now!).
We stay at our condo as much as we can and are always adding/changing things around based on our experience and guest comments.

Why the Owner Chose Carolina Beach
This condo is our first rental property purchase and we have not looked back. The view overlooking the lake was what sold the condo, and not to mention how close it is to the beach! If you count slowly, you might not get to 50 starting from our door to when your feet touch sand (the city recently renovated the stairs over the dunes at the public beach access so that adds just a few more steps!)
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We have recently taken up kayaking and really enjoy coming down to Carolina Beach for its many launch points. We can go up and down the Intracoastal for an exciting (and sometimes dangerous) adventure or opt to go down to the end of the island and paddle around quiet waters for hours on end. Once we arrive at the condo, our car remains parked and we walk everywhere for food and entertainment in Carolina Beach.

We stayed over the Labor Day Weekend and loved the area. You can walk to everything including the restaurants and shops. The beach and the lake park are across the street, so convenient. It is a nice, family beach area - we will come again! The unit had everything we needed and we loved the porch facing the ocean. The pool was also refreshing when the waves were too rough to get in the ocean.

Thank you for the wonderful weekend. We had a blast getting the crossbreeze through both balconies. We danced and laughed, played on the beach and walked downtown. I also enjoyed the NC Aquarium!!! Well worth the 10-min drive. The Veggie Wagon across the street is simply wonderful! Everything we need is here. We finally relaxed and I can't thank you enough! FYI - Saturday morning market was still here on Oct 1. OWNER NOTE: The Veggie Wagon has amazing fresh baked bread and without preservatives :-)

We had an exciting week here - to say the least. Getting ready to leave early due to Irene's wrath (after a gorgeous day!) Thank you for taking care of the air-conditioning issues. Thanks so much for letting us stay in your condo! Very nicely decorated - comfy bed & sofas - great views - wonderful time :-) Only one complaint: we couldn't get the sound to work on the hard drive movies during a rainy afternoon - maybe you could add a fix on the instructions :-) I hadn't been to the Carolina Beach area in 30 years and we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much for renting out your condo to us! My kids loved the comfy sofa bed & TV & your bed was very comfortable to sleep in!! It was very nice to not have to worry about sheets or cleaning as well. Your place had everything I need to survive a quick getaway! I'd love to come back! p.s. maybe the only thing my kids wanted to add ... was to bring our pug "sparky" next time

We just got home last night from a long weekend stay at your condo, and absolutely hated to leave. The condo was clean, the kitchen well stocked, and the location absolutely perfect for us. We enjoyed walking to the lake, walking to get ice cream, and best of all, the short walk to the beach. When not on the beach, it was nice to relax either inside on the comfy couches or outside on the porch rocking chairs. It was an absolutely great vacation and we look forward to staying here again.
