We call our bungalow 'Paradise' because it is! Once you cross over the bridge, from Eastpoint to St. George Island, you leave all your cares, concerns and problems behind. You are ready to relax! Leave your watch at home because you are on 'island' time.
St. George Island is a charming community. 'Paradise' is right on the beach. Our unit is upstairs, on the left side of the building. Sunrises from the master bedroom are spectacular! You can also view them from our sun porch or screen porch. We have rocking chairs and a large round table on the screen porch for delightful meals or just rocking the day away. 'Paradise' is pet friendly. Call or e-mail us about your pet.
We have furnished the unit with everything you need, to feel like you are at home. It is professionally cleaned with fresh linens and towels, placed in our 'newly' remodeled bathroom. The following items you'll need to bring or buy at the local market: tiolet paper, paper towels, tissues, paper plates, cups for the beach; plastic wrap, zip locks; bathing soap, shampoo, diswasher detergent, laundry detergent, dish soap; coffee filters; condiments; sun screen, bug spray, hats, beach umbrella, beach towels, chairs, your favorite book or magazines.
St. George Island is a family oriented community, located on Florida's Forgotten Coast. Our unit is within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Everything is geared towards outdoor living.
Apalachicola is a historical city on the mainland. It is fun to stroll around the streets. Stop in and have an ice cream at the old fashion ice cream fountain. Shop in stores that are friendly and helpful. Many different churches are available for Sunday morning worship.

Paradise bungalow was the perfect getaway for me my girlfriend and our two dogs. While the building as a whole from the outside is somewhat older the inside of our unit was extremely spacious for being only a two bedroom. The floors in the living room and kitchen had very nice tile and the ceiling is comprised of wooden beams stretching across the width of the unit with the ceilings being 10+ feet tall. The wrap around couch was great for an afternoon nap after baking in the sun on the beach. The best part of the unit besides limited cell phone service was the screened in back porch with an adjacent open air porch. The majority of our time if not spent on the beach was on these huge porches. In comparison to the price of similar properties that weren't beach front this was a great deal especially in this tough economy and Kristi the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be returning to paradise.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The unit was very clean and well-equipped. It is an older building, but the unit has been well maintained. The screened porch and open deck were so peaceful. A wonderful view of the water. Love the uncrowded beach! Saw dolphins almost every day. The weather was beautiful and that did present a downside. We would have loved to open up windows but a number of them are broken. My husband brought his kayak and went out every day to the state parks nearby! Kristi is very pleasant to work with and we would definitely stay there again and bring our dog!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

What an awesome place! We immediately went into relax mode the moment we walked through the door. Each morning, we watched the dolphins play in the water while we ate our breakfast on the screened-in porch. We also went to sleep each night with the window open listening to the waves on the beach. The unit was very well equipped and we didn't lack for anything. We were within walking distance of all the stores and restaurants. It was perfect for our dogs and they loved being steps away from play time on the beach. We are looking forward to our next visit to Paradise!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We really enjoyed our long weekend here. This was our last getaway before becoming parents (I'm currently 6 months pregnant). The beach is just a few steps away and we loved that you could just leave your beach gear overnight without having to worry about anyone walking away with it. We loved sitting out on the porch during meals and also liked that it was only about a 10 minute walk to the local restaurants. The only two things I would recommend is that the owner consider leaving on the AC units. They were turned off when we arrived, so the house was about 100 degrees when we stepped inside. We had to turn on the AC units and leave for a while before the house reached a comfortable temperature. The other thing that we noticed is that the shower could use a good scrubbing. There was quite a bit of mildew in the stall. These two things were minor inconveniences, and we hope to stay here in the future with our kids (the second bedroom is set up for children).Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children.

Loved our stay at your property. It was great to be right on the beach! The covered & screened in deck was large and great for eating breakfast & lunch at the large table. Loved the uncovered deck in the evening to watch the stars & moon on the water. The place was clean and nice. Even though could not open most windows, did not need to as used the air conditioning.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children.

The minute we stepped into Paradise we felt its peace. There is nothing between you and the beach then water. Very quiet part of the island and yet close to everything. This unit is perfect for getting into the laidback mode of St. George Island. The open floor plan in the living room flows out to the screened- in porch. Throw open the french doors and let in the ocean breeze! Owner is very easy to deal with and checking -in is so much easier than dealing with a management company. No fancy bells and whistles here but you'll have all you need. Coming to the beach during the off season is the way to go. We'll be coming back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
