Why the Owner Chose Egg Harbor
Peter and I hope to live in the Little One cottage some day, and until then, have chosen to rent it out to our guests.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
The Little One is in a quiet, pretty residential area along the shore of Green Bay in Egg Harbor. It has some paved and some gravel roads through the woods to the main roads, and lends itself to family and friends vacation...close to the village of Egg Harbor and yet away from it all. The rocky shore is accessed by a public fire lane just across the road from the cottage and is quite a well-kept secret from many tourists, as this is a residential are not on the main road! Guests can take folding chairs over to the shorefront and throw rocks, read a book, or watch the beautiful westerly sunsets. Alpine Golf course with it's 27 holes is a mere 1/2 mile away; Alpine Public sand beach and the village beach is about 1 mile north of the cottage, Murphy County Park is about 3 miles south of the cottage, the village of Egg Harbor with gift shops, a wonderful grocery store, Main Street Market, gourmet food store at the Bistro shops, Health & Organic foods at Greens N Grains, many good restaurants and some art galleries. The Little One is in a great location and setting for your vacation.

My husband and I have lived in Door County for 13 years, and I have been coming to Egg Harbor with my family since I was born! My grandparents and parents built homes on the shore of Egg Harbor in the Point Beach residential area many years ago. My grandparents built in the 1930's and my folks, 1970. So while I wasn't born here, it is home to me! My husband, Peter and I, until May 2008 owned a lodge in Sister Bay and so we are very familiar with the hospitality industry and know how to make our guests comfortable and welcome! We live in Sister Bay, both work full time, and now own my parents place and are co-owners in my grandparents place. They are across from one another along West Shore Drive in Egg Harbor.

This is a wonderful home with absolutely everything provided that was needed. We loved every minute of our visit and would love to do it all over again! The owner has added so many little things to this home which shows her desire to please. We experienced a 2 hour power failure from a wind storm one evening. We found plenty of candles and flashlights were available. We had such fun sitting and talking, reminiscing and enjoying each others company until the power returned. Beautiful home and location. Thanks to the Laurie for everything!! You are the best! Very satisfied visitors!

There were 6 of us - 4 siblings and 2 husbands. We all loved this home! I kind of hate to write a rave review because it is such a find that it may not be available next time around. We found it perfect for our needs. Lovely setting. Everything we needed throughout the home. One night we experienced a 2 hour loss of electric due to high winds. It was fun sitting with candles and just talking and reminiscing. And, yes, lots of candles and flashlight were available. This owner knows people's needs as well as providing the little thoughtful extras. Thank you so much for everything. All of us hope we can do this again! Carolyn and Jim (and the Hunter clan)

Owners were great as was the house. We felt very welcome. The house is just like the pictures and everything is neat, clean and well supplied. The owners were available if anything extra was needed or just to answer questions. My husband & I stayed there with his three sisters and we enjoyed playing games, hiking, BBQing on the back deck. The fireplace was an added plus. We enjoyed hiking in the Peninsula State Park, visiting light houses and the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. We would recommend this house to any group looking for a relaxing and fun time.

We've just completed our 2nd stay at the home and was as impressed as we were the first time. The home is very comfortable and perfect for any traveler to Door County. Neat and clean.and oh so charming. Breath taking sunsets. Deer walking through yard Close to any activity you may choose yet offers a nice quiet getaway if you don't want to leave the premises. We are already looking forward to our stay next year. Highly recommend.

This charming cottage, nestled among the trees, provides the feel of living out-of-doors; with the rocky shore of Green Bay just a short stroll away. The sunsets are spectacular. There are plenty of paved streets and roads throughout the area, ideal for bicycling or casual walks. For the more adventurous, a bike ride or walk to the center of Egg Harbor is worth the effort. There are plenty of small animals and birds to please the children of all ages. We have stayed in this cottage for several years, and would come back to it each summer forever if we could.
