A very comfortable, non-smoking two bedroom, one bath log cabin, Buckeye's Cabin is located at 10,300 feet in the midst of Colorado's Fourteener Region, minutes outside of Leadville, an old historical mining town, 20 minutes from Copper Mountain and 40 minutes from Vail and other world-class ski resorts.

Year Purchased: 1997
We purchased this cozy, romantic cabin as our first home and could not stand to part with it when we moved after we had meticulously restored it. So we decided to go out on a limb and try to rent it short term, so that we could still come back to enjoy it. Luckily for us, everyone else seems to enjoy it as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Leadville
Leadville is still an example of the old west. Open space, surrounded by 14 thousand foot peaks, an old western town, hundreds of miles of hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, biking trails, lakes, and streams. It doesn't get any better than this.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Close to world class skiing of Copper Mountain, Keystone, Vail, and Breckenridge, as well as a great smaller family area, among others, there are hiking trails, biking, back country skiing, snowmobile trips, train rides, museums and so much more... you have views of Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak, as well as other 14 thousand foot peaks from the huge picture windows in the cabin. Live the old west...

Paul, You go above and beyond to provide a wonderful vacation spot, especially for these Floridians who were seeking a Ski Cooper retreat. We thank you, from the moment we arrived to the warmth of the pot belly stove and the charming cabin decorating/acommodations to your shoveling for us daily. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the skiing was beyond our expectations. The Dudley Family - St. Petersburg, FL (I need your address to ship back "Basket Case" book I'd borrowed from your library.)
