Fantastic waterfront home for family vacation or just a special vacation for couples or friends.
Located on Greers Ferry Lake at the north, east section, you will enjoy the best water-skiing and fishing available.The home is located in an area of the lake called "Barefoot Alley". This is due to the smoothness of the water.This is also a very hot spot for fishing.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have a boat, WE ARE SORRY BUT THERE IS NO BOAT MOORAGE AVAILABLE AT THE PROPERTY. We recommend Hill Creek Marina which is located a quick 7 miles away by land and 1 1/2 miles by water.Their phone # is 870-948-2230.
If you are wanting to rent boats, we recommend Laceys Marina which is a very nice facility located about 8 miles away.

The lake is 42 miles long with 40,000 acres of pristine water and 300 miles of shoreline. Great golf courses are just a short drive away.
Upon walking through the front door, you are captivated by the lake view from almost every room. Lots of windows, lots of light, yet extremely private. A large deck, perfect for outdoor cooking, entertaining, or lounging are just outside your back door. The home has a large screened in deck, perfect for watching sunsets, relaxing, or watching the critters go by.
King bed in master,main floor, 2 full size in large upstairs bedroom, queen bed in second large upstairs bedroom. Lovely daybed upstairs between bedrooms.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a bit of a climb going up and down to the water. At the top of the stone stairway to the bottom the distance is approx 100 ft. There is a rope handle going down the length of the stairs.
The road to the property is narrow and steep in places.

RESERVATION AND BOOKING POLICY
A reservation/damage deposit of $500.00 is required. This must be received within seven(7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automaticaly converts to a security/damage deposit upon your arrival. You can use our web site-(Link below) to make this deposit using our paypal account. You do not have to be a member to use this function.
The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within 14 days of departure, provided you have followed the homes rental rules and regulations(copy sent upon booking)
PAYMENT-An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required 30 days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the house rent. Please make payments in the form of traveler's check, bank money order, cashier check, or personal check payable to Patricia Hayden. You may also request us to send you an invoice via email using our paypal account.
By using this method you can use credit cards. You do not have to be a paypal member to use this service.The advance payment is not a damage deposit. The BALANCE OF RENT is due fourteen(14)days before arrival date.
CANCELLATIONS: A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation.30 day cancellations will incur no penalty. Cancellation or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made 15 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.

Why the Owner Chose Greers Ferry
We choose to buy in Greers Ferry Arkansas while visiting the state. We absolutly fell in love with the area and the people. This will be our retirement location in about 8 years.
The only way we could afford to own two homes was to turn this home into a vacation rental.
We love being able to share it with other families.
The Unique Benefits at this House
One of the reasons we love going to the home is the privacy. You feel like you have your own little piece of paradise. With the water being close by, we spend most of the days on the water. Our area is called Barefoot Alley becuase of the mirror like flat water.
This area of the lake is the prettiest with all it's trees and rock formations.

Hi Patricia, We had a wonderful time at your beautiful lake home! We loved the house and the amazing sunsets! There was just a touch of fall color but warm enough last weekend to be on the lake and in the water. Lacy's had already "winterized" their rentals but we went to Shiloh Marina and rented there which worked out fine. We hope to return to Hayden's Hideaway in the future. Thanks again. The house was wonderful! It far exceeded my expectations. The cakes were a success. We had a few worried moments transporting the cake to the main highway but no major trouble. I now realize that making a cake for one's own children causes a bit more tension than just making a wedding cake for someone else. I had to wait until I returned to school to access e-mail. Patricia, We had a great week out at your place! Your home is very cozy and very comfortable! We really enjoyed the watermelon! The only thing that we would change is not having to park on such an incline and to have a boat slip at the camp instead of having to park at the marina's. Thanks for your message. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in Hayden’s Hideaway, and I hope we left everything in order. It was fun to bring some of our own Thanksgiving decorations for the hearth, table, and bar. The mood was festive, the cabin was cozy, the weather was crisp, and our family loved it. High points included: the cozy look of the cabin the nice facilities, well-equipped kitchen/baths, and attractive decor a lovely evening fire in the fireplace the great view over the lake a wonderful walk,climb in the woods on Thanksgiving Day and last but not least, that wonderful pillow-top mattress on the master bedroom bed. Hi Patricia, I got the check and cashed it on Friday. Thank you very much! We LOVED the house. It might be silly, but one of my favorite things was the bed! The other house we rented had older, not nearly as comfortable beds, but at the hideaway, it was just so nice to climb in at the end of the day for a nice night of sleep. BTW- I did take the master... hehehe. I also really appreciated the extras around the house, like fruit, soap, a sponge, charcoal, coffee, games, satellite, the list goes on. We left the charcoal and lighter fluid as we ended up not using them, but still, it was nice to know it was there in case. The other house had a bigger living area and a huge deck, so we spent most of the time there. But the first day we were at the hideaway, we went down to the lake and swam around in the little cove, just hanging out. We ended up with 9 people the first night and 11 the next. Everyone was very comfortable! (The other house I rented said 9 as well, but it was more like a comfortable 6 and then I don't know where they wanted the rest of them...) We noticed that some of the people who wrote in your comments book seemed to take it more as a "critique" book, so we tried to avoid that. I agree with the general concensus that the access to the lake is pretty steep and it would be really great to know if the owners of the dock might be interested in allowing rental of a space while staying at the house. I think that it might be good to warn people in the description that the access is as steep as it is in the case that people might have difficulty with the climb. That said, we really, really thought it was a great place. We all said that if we could have a lake house someday, we'd love it to be just like yours. Thank you again, very, very much for everything, including the birthday present of the decreased fee. Patricia, Are your ears burning? We were just talking about you and I was going to send you an email and let you know how much we enjoyed it. Everything was so clean (which is so different from places we have rented in the past) and there were real towels, and everything we could need in the kitchen, and the charcoal was a really nice touch so we didn't have to haul it down the hill. It was so "homey" and we had a wonderful time. Now the "four wheeler trail" they call a road leading into it was a bit deceiving, had you not sent us the specific directions, we never would have thought we were going the right way- we laughed the whole way down the road! Thanks so much for renting to us- Hopefully it will work out again next year- Kim

Hi Patricia, Sorry I haven't e-mailed you already, it's been a busy week at work. That's typical after a vacation. We had a wonderful time at the lake. The house was beautiful!! It was the perfect place for our group. We only wish we had all been in better shape for the hikes from the lake up to the house. Ha Ha!! It was worth every hike we made!! You have a wonderful lake house. All the girls loved the bright and stylish decor within the house. My favorite place is the sun deck. I was there every morning when the sun rose, it was beautiful! You really have it set up well for your guest. I can't think of anything we needed that you didn't have, except for more time to spend there! Oh well, there's always next time.
