Our vacation home is the best at Luna Encantada! It is the only three bedroom true beachfront penthouse available to vacationers. It sits right on the incomparably blue Caribbean, with 180-degree views of paradise. Our ideal location is not only right on the ocean, but is also right in town (yet quiet) -- you can walk to everything! It is also the only condo with HDTV and American channels on a 42' Flat Screen.
Relax and enjoy the Mayan Riviera with all the comforts of an elegant home. Our 1600-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath condo includes a large private rooftop terrace and a full-length balcony, which allow you to completely immerse yourself in the beauty of the sea. Enjoy the fun and sun of the white sand beaches and warm ocean water just steps away.
The charming boutique complex has just 24 units and features a beautiful heated pool, jetted whirlpool, beautiful sculpture, artwork and stunning tropical landscaping. We provide free underground parking, 24 hour security and pool and beach lounge chairs for the comfort of our guests.
Our elegant and comfortable penthouse includes beautiful granite tiled bathrooms, and quality 100% cotton bath towels and beach towels. Two bedrooms are appointed with romantic king-sized canopy beds made with superior quality mattresses. Additionally, both king beds hides two twin trundle beds (ideal for children). A queen bed in the third bedroom can be used for two extra guests allowing for a total of 10 people to share our little slice of paradise. We happily welcome families with children.
Prepare meals in the fully-equipped, gourmet chef’s kitchen (owner is an award-winning cook) using quality utensils and cookware. Choose a recipe from the carefully-selected cookbooks and serve them at the gorgeous dining room table that seats eight, on the balcony or on the rooftop terrace. Fresh, delicious, regional ingredients are available at many markets within walking distance. Our kitchen features granite countertops, travertine marble floors, stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker and water filter, stove and oven, coffee maker, blender, hard-anodized cookware, chef knives and more). Flatware, dishes and glassware are provided. Coordinated placemats and cloth napkins make for a beautiful and elegant table.
Bring your laptop to use free wireless, high-speed internet access. The villa includes 2 televisions with cable programming, DVD player, quality audio system with MP3 hookup, vonage phone service, a variety of CDs, a children's DVD library, board games and a diverse collection of books for your reading pleasure.
Luna Encantada is exceptionally well-located and within walking distance of dive boats, shopping, spa treatments, and world-class dining. Take a two-minute walk to beachside bistros for breakfast or lunch. Dinner choices range from regional Mexican fare to five-star dining. Play golf, snorkel, scuba, windsurf, parasail, fish, bike, boat, walk and explore the beauty and history of the Mayan Riviera from your home away from home. Visit Cozumel by ferry (just a few blocks away), Isla Mujeres, Xel-ha, or the ruins of Tulum or Coba or Chichen Itza.
Playa del Carmen is easy to get to; fly into Cancun (or into Cozumel and come by ferry) and either take a 30-minute cab ride to Calle Sixth and the beach or a luxury bus to the Playa terminal just two blocks from your vacation home. This is the best place to stay in Playa del Carmen! We've stayed at a luxury resort in Playa and this condo has it beat hands down. It was exactly as described. The owners think of it as their second home and it feels like a home. We traveled with another couple and were thrilled to have places to hang out together. That's something that you don't get at a hotel. The balcony is amazing! You can see all the way up and down the main part of Playa del Carmen. We enjoyed eating breakfast while looking out over the ocean. Since Playa has such wonderful restaurants, we were not interested in an all-inclusive resort. We bought breakfast food, snacks, and drinks to have at the condo and then dined out for most lunches and dinners. The full kitchen makes it easy to cook if you want to. One fun thing about the condo is the guest book. People write in their favorite things to do and places to eat. We cannot wait to go back!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed here for 4 days and absolutely did not want to leave!!! Having our condo on the beach & one block away from 5th avenue is truly the perfect location in Playa del Carmen. The sound, smell, & panoramic view of the ocean was so great to fall asleep and wake up to every day. We tried to sleep on the rooftop deck & balcony, but it gets too windy at nite! The bars & clubs next door aren't obnoxiously loud so you can still get a good night's rest. Hotel Fusion next door has the best ceviche, fish, & shrimp tacos.Don't miss it! On the other side of Luna, get an hour massage on the beach for $40. The condo was very spacious w/ plenty of room for 5 girls. Very clean rooms & linen. We could've used more towels so good thing we were able to do some laundry (we were so busy out on excursions that we kept missing the management office hours.) The showers are slow to drain, but overall, the bathrooms are in great condition. The 3rd bedroom gets a little loud if it's windy outside. The sliding door 'whistles' like a scary ghost room. The girl in that room decided to sleep out in the living room area & loved it because of the ocean sounds & breeze. On the rooftop deck, one hammock is torn, but everything else is in good condition. The pool is so clean, clear and perfect. On 5th ave, there will be tour dealers. Stay away from a guy named Federico Jesus (goes by the name 'Kiko'). He sells the package for super cheap, but doesn't provide correct info. Our Mayan adventure went from being 8 hours long to 12 hours long because we shared the van with so many other people! We loved the fact that we saved money, but were just annoyed at being lied to about the 'private' tour. Other things you can't miss is snorkeling at Cozumel. If you are looking to buy souvenirs & you go on the Chichen Itza tour, buy from the vendors that are in Chichen Itza and far away from the entrance. Eat at Hotel Basico restaurant, absolutely wonderful seafood. Eat pizza there too, it's surprisingly delicious. There is also this little taco stand on 12th avenue near Bali night club that looks like it's run from a van. So cheap & so good. Have breakfast at 100% Natural. Their food is amazingly light yet flavorful. Wear bug spray if you eat here..I got bit several times while eating breakfast! I wish we could have stayed longer. It truly was one of the best vacations I've ever had.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
