We had a really great weekend at Arbor Pointe. We came up in the fall and were treated to very nice colors on the trees and excellent vistas from the windows in the great room that looked out onto the lake. We made extensive use of the fireplace and enjoyed the quiet, peaceful surroundings. The cottage is immaculate, gorgeous and much bigger than the website pictures show. We highly recommend Arbor Pointe and look forward to spending more time there in the future. Thanks, Amy and Scott

Hi Laura, Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage. The view of the lake was exceptional. We especially enjoyed the Swan Family. It seemed that the male swan spent 80% of his time chasing the geese all over the lake. I nick-named him the "Beach Bully" because he would waddle onto the beach with his wings puffed out like a muscle bound beach bum. He wouldn't give those geese one inch of space. If that wasn't bad enough...the geese would no sooner make it on land and the man next door would chase them back into the lake where "Beach Bully was waiting for them. We took advantage of the paddle boat every day. The girls and I almost made it to the other side, but I wasn't sure I would have enough steam in me to make it back, so we turned around about 3/4 of the way. We never used the row boat...maybe next time. I was able to find the stores on 10/31 and had no problem getting everything we needed. We made it into Ludington on Saturday and enjoyed the town very much. We ate breakfast at the Two Spoons...very nice. During the day I would opened the doorwalls and back bedroom window and get a nice breeze. It's hard to imagine, but my sister and I never watched TV while we were there. How wonderful. Every night after dinner, we would all take the dog for a walk down the road along the edge of the lake...Good for the body and good for the soul. The statue of Jesus, Mary and Joseph on the mantel made me feel at home. Thank you so much, Irene

Laura, We had a very nice time. We could not have asked for a better setting for our family vacation. The weather was pretty good. We had two very nice campfires after we put our grandson down at eight. After we talked as a family I think there is a good chance we will be back next year. My daughter in-law is 7 months pregnant and we will see if they want to take on a weekend with 2 little ones around. I would recommend the place to anyone. The early birds (Me, my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson) went to Pentwater for breakfast one morning. Sunday night we all went and played mini-golf and had ice cream in Pentwater. We did take our fishing boat with us and did a little fishing and went for a few rides around the lake. All in all I would rate it an "A" Phil Koeze

Hi Laura, Just a note to let you know how much our family enjoyed out week at your cottage on St. Marys Lake. The cottage was clean and larger than the pictures let on to be. We had a great time caughting and releasing Pike and Bass. Weather was great. Kitchen was well stocked. Our Daughter-in-law fell in love with the Beautiful Blue paint on the walls in the bed room upstairs and wants to know the manufacturer and name of the blue paint, could you let me know. Thanks. It's not easy to find a perfect place where 2 families, 2 toddlers and 2 dogs can relax and enjoy their vacations without all these "nos" and "don'ts". This is what the Arbor Point Cottage is all about. No traffic, fresh air, beautiful view for a lake, comfortable house perfectly equipped and nicely decorated. In addition to that there is a Wal-Mart 20 minutes away where you can buy completely everything you might need (even organic milk :)) so there's no need to take too much stuff from home. The beaches in Pentwater and Ludington are beautiful. But the most important thing of all is that you can really forget about your work, everyday duties and stress "in the city" being BACK TO NATURE AGAIN... Beata Lewinski

Laura, In spite of the dreary and wet weather last weekend, we did enjoy our stay at your cottage. It was quite comfortable and your decorating touches were just right. I especially loved the purple faux finish on the walls of the first floor bath. It had been well over ten years since we played ping pong, but enjoyed competing with my brother. Last year, we tried our first bed and breakfast which was nice, but we prefer the privacy and freedom that your cottage offers. We look forward to another visit next year, probably in May. Hopefully the weather will be more suitable so we can enjoy the lake as well. Regards, Pamela Shelby

We had the most wonderful time on our vacation at Arbor Pointe!! It was perfect! So peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was well appointed and the property setup just right. We were hopeful that it would work out for us there but our expectations were exceeded by far. We boated, fished, swam, built sand castles, had a bonfire, watched a video, grilled, and just lounged (if a family with six boys can do such a thing). We'll be back!!

We had a wonderful vacation at Arbor View Cottage. All of the comforts you could imagine were provided for us. I packed so many things that we didn't need. (Less is better) There is a small store 5 minutes away in case you need anything. Very clean and neatly decorated. The website pictures can only show just a fraction of attractiveness. We fished every day either from the dock or from the row boat that was provided. It was so peaceful just what we were looking for. There was also daily entertainment from the family of Swan's. Our family was able to go into Ludington, Pentwater and Manistee for day trips as they are so close to St Mary's Lake. My whole family enjoyed themselves and want to go back next year. We found the owners to be very helpful and accessable to us if we needed anything.
