Many units at the beach are OLD and a bit shabby inside. Honestly - is that where you want to stay on vacation? Plus, this condo is the perfect location in San Diego to enjoy our legendary weather and surf inspired beach life!! Yes, there are surfers out there from sunrise until sunset! Speaking of sunsets, have you ever seen a green flash?

The sign on the front door welcomes you! Use the coded front door lock and step inside to see this modern, beautifully renovated condo with gleaming hardwood floors, granite countertops and new kitchen cabinets. We added plantation shutters on all the windows for light and privacy.
THE LIVING ROOM
From the mirrored wall in the living room, you can actually see the reflection of Mission Bay from inside the condo! Because the condo has a view of Sail Bay, it's all designer decorated with a 'sailing' theme! Very cute. Check out the pictures! The sofa sleeper in the living room will sleep 2. The glass dining table for 4 is perfect for enjoying a meal in.
THE ENTERTAINMENT CENTER
Check out the entertainment center with a very cool LCD HDTV, DVD player & CD/radio. Hey - bring your iPod! We even have an iPod dock!! ! You’re welcome to watch our classic DVD’s and just in case you get tired of all that sunshine at the beach, there are books and games. You’ll also find a whole box of tourist brochures and info on what to do on your vacation in San Diego plus restaurant recommendations - many within an easy walk from the condo.

Don't you just hate it when you check into a vacation rental and have to go to the store to get the basics like paper towels, coffee, tea, salt & pepper? Not in this condo!!
We’ve tried to think of everything you would need to have a carefree, fun-filled time at the beach without having to pack a bunch of stuff or go to the store right away. No kidding. Check out all that is included!! The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans. There are also spices, coffee, coffee filters, tea, kitchen towels, pot holders, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags. You'll even find margarita, martini and wine glasses! Just bring your food and drinks!!
Enjoy your early morning coffee on the front entrance deck or grab a beach chair (included) and gel out on the sand. A funky charcoal BBQ is located at the bottom of the stairs and we’ve provided BBQ equipment.
COMFY QUEEN BEDROOM
At the end of a busy beach and sightseeing day, you will definitely appreciate the super comfy queen bed with a Temperpedic mattress topper and quality linens & comforter. The bedroom is a separate room from the living room with a door between the two rooms for privacy. There’s plenty of room for your stuff in the mirrored closet and in the tall drawer cabinets on either side of the bed. You’ll appreciate the cool ocean breeze through the shuttered bedroom window.
TRAVERTINE BATH
Sparkling clean with travertine tile. There's a tub and shower with a really good shower head (not much better than a good shower - well, almost nothing). And, we found a curved shower curtain rod and a hookless shower curtain - just like in the upscale hotels! You’ll find plenty of towels and a built-in hairdryer (so you don't have to bring one!!)
Don't pack a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, lotion or shower gel! There's a very cool dispenser inside the shower with all that stuff!! We’ve tried to think of everything so you don’t have to pack so much stuff or go to the store and pay for the basics.

Two very cool beach bikes - ou'll LOVE riding bikes at the beach!! There's also secure encrypted Wifi, iPod dock, PLUS reserved and numbered parking!! Headed for the beach? PARKING
The condo includes one numbered, reserved parking space. That’s a VERY important benefit!! Parking is scarce at the beach and it’s nice to know you have your very own numbered parking space!!

Location! Location! Location! From the condo, it's a quick 1 minute walk to the sand and Sail Bay. Head the other direction along a sidewalk and you'll run into the Pacific Ocean - an easy 4 minute walk!!You can also walk or ride the beach bikes to markets, restaurants, bars, local shops, Belmont Park 's historic roller coaster & the Wavehouse (check out the pictures).

- OTHER THINGS TO DO IN SAN DIEGO - BESIDES THE BEACH Mission Beach is central to all the fun spots in San Diego!! 12 minutes to the San Diego International Airport, five minutes to Sea World, 20 minutes to Seaport Village, the Downtown Gas Lamp, Little Italy, Balboa Park and the famous San Diego Zoo, It's a 40 minute drive north to the Wild Animal Park and Legoland, Posh La Jolla with all those expensive shops and restaurants is just 15 minutes north and you might also enjoy the Scripps Aquarium while you're in La Jolla, In the summer, try your luck at the Del Mar Horse Racing Track - just 20 minutes north - or indulge in a margarita in Old Town - just 10 minutes from Mission Beach, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, If you want to forget renting a car or just leave your car parked, there is good bus service on Mission Blvd, that can get you all over San Diego and also connects to the red trolley. Why the Owner Chose Mission Beach
I grew up just across the bay from Mission Beach and I always wanted to own a property at the "beach". Having one condo on the bayside and one condo on the oceanside is very cool. My prospective guests have a choice of locations.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Both of my condos are model home perfect inside. They are spotlessly clean and I personally make sure that small details are managed to insure a quality experience. I also believe in providing guests with lots of extras so they don't have to pack a lot of stuff or run to the market right away for things like coffee, tea, spices, salt & pepper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion. These are all included!! I also include 2 beach bikes with each condo and secure WiFi. Each condo has quality beds, linens and fully equipped kitchens including a dishwasher. Who wants to wash dishes on vacation?? My philosophy is that vacations are suppose to be fun - not an ordeal. I know that my guests live in nice homes and when they go on vacation, they should stay in equally nice accommodations with quality amenities. That is my goal and from the past guest reviews, I am proud to say that I have succeeded! Yeah!!
An easy walk along the Boardwalk. The kids will love the rides at the mimi-amusement park and a ride on the historic roller coaster is a BLAST!! I actually rode it when I was in high school for 25 cen
Ride a wave or just watch the action. Amazing!! Weekends are really busy so try a midweek visit.
Don't miss this! Only a 10 minute drive from the condo! Best to go Monday - Friday because the crowds are huge on the weekend. SeaWorld is very cool!
Walk or ride the bikes north on the Boardwalk to Crystal Pier. Walk out to the end of the pier and join the locals as they watch the surfers and hope to see a "green flash". Yes, they really do exist.
Learn to surf, search for seashells, build a sandcastle, boogie board or just gel out in the sun. The beaches of Mission Beach are sandy & perfect for walks & sunning. The condo is a 3 minute walk to
Sail Bay is beautiful. Much quieter than the oceanside. Fun for toddlers and those who like to kayak, sail, swim. Watch the SeaWorld fireworks every nite in the summer.

I am a native San Diegan and was very lucky to grow up at the beach during the "Gidget" years. Since I love the beach, I traveled to Hawai'i and was fortunate to purchase my first vacation rental in Maui 7 years ago. That was a dream come true! That vacation rental was so successful that I am now the proud owner of 5 more vacation rentals - 2 in Mission Beach, 1 in La Jolla and 2 in Phoenix/Scottsdale. I take great pride in personally managing my properties. I concentrate on making each one look like a model home so when a guest opens the door, they say "WOW! This is very cool". The pictures on my listings are identical to how the condo looks inside. "No surprises" is my motto and it pays off with very satisfied guests and no complaints and lots of referrals!! Yeah!! I also like to include lots of extras so the guests don't have to run to the store to buy paper towels and coffee and salt & pepper. All included!Look in the shower and you'll see a dispenser with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion!! PLUS - 2 beach bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards and beach toys! This condo is located in a perfect location--close to the bay, close to the beach, close to restaurants, shops, and right on a bus route. There is no need to rent a car. We went all the way to the zoo on the bus--it was easy and inexpensive Probably the best part was access to the beachcruisers and all the toys. They really have made every effort to make this place as comfortable as possible and have thought of everything. The couch wasn't the most comfortable for watching TV, but luckily there is so much to do that there is no need to be in the condo watching TV anyway. This place feels like home. I highly recommend it to anyone. We plan to stay there again.
Owner response:After I received this review, I checked the couch and found that the cushion supports were under the couch instead of under the cushions. Easily fixed. Comfy couch now. It reminded me how important it is for a guest to call the owner right away if something is not just right. Owners appreciate being able to fix a problem quickly so the guests' vacation is 100% perfect instead of 90%!

This is the first time we stayed on the bayside...turned out it was a great stay. The ocean side was always nice, but the bayside was more peaceful & relaxing. The owner Jo Ann was really helpful & thoughtful about having the condo well stocked with everything. Close to everything & most important is my little kids had a blast.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children.

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights and loved every minute!! A wonderful area and a fantastic condo to stay at! We loved having all the amenities Jo Ann provided and especially loved her list of sights to see & local restaurants, etc to check out! Great neighbourhood (really liked the Olive Cafe!). Walked, ran & biked all along Pacific Beach & Mission Bay. Can't wait to come back soon!!

We just spent a long week-end in Jo Ann's condo and cannot tell you how perfect it was for the 2 of us. The bikes and parking space are huge. The condo itself is very clean and comfortable. We will be watching for cheap plane flights to get back out there and will request this condo every time. Location couldn't be better.

Had a fab time. So close to the beach and then for a cycle on the boardwalk to watch the sunset. Absolutely gorgeous. SeaWorld was class and go out to Mission Bay @ about 10pm to watch the fireworks from SeaWorld. Thank you so much for all the useful information that was provided. For a great night out, go to Pacific Beach Bar & Grill. Three words to describe San Diego - sun, sea and sand :)

Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! You haven't forgotten a thing. Whatever you might need is here. We would have like to stay another day but someone else beat us to it. Good for them. We loved the restaurant Sasaks Steak and Seafood - right around the corner. Also, try your luck with a Segway. What a blast! The route around the bay is beautiful. Another restaurant favorite was the Coaster Saloon. Probably the best cheeseburgers we've ever had. Hope whomever is next in has a fabulous time as we did.

"Ahhhh. What a relaxing place to stay! You're a short drive up the coast to La Jolla, a short drive downtown where you can explore the waterfront piers, taste delicious fish tacos, take the ferry to Coronado for $3.50!! Enjoy a delicious Italian dinner in the Gaslamp Quarter. Just over an hour up Highway 5 you're @ Disneyland! Best of all, you have the bikes to ride along the ocean and Bay - we even rode them to SeaWorld!! Enjoy.....we did!" Mandy & Aaron, Vancouver, B.C.
