This is the first time we stayed on the bayside...turned out it was a great stay. The ocean side was always nice, but the bayside was more peaceful & relaxing. The owner Jo Ann was really helpful & thoughtful about having the condo well stocked with everything. Close to everything & most important is my little kids had a blast.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We just spent a long week-end in Jo Ann's condo and cannot tell you how perfect it was for the 2 of us. The bikes and parking space are huge. The condo itself is very clean and comfortable. We will be watching for cheap plane flights to get back out there and will request this condo every time. Location couldn't be better.

Owner response:Everyone always love the bikes! Even guests who haven't ridden a bike in years decide to give it a go. Mission Beach has miles of flat beachfront sidewalks! Very fun!

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights and loved every minute!! A wonderful area and a fantastic condo to stay at! We loved having all the amenities Jo Ann provided and especially loved her list of sights to see & local restaurants, etc to check out! Great neighbourhood (really liked the Olive Cafe!). Walked, ran & biked all along Pacific Beach & Mission Bay. Can't wait to come back soon!!

Location, Location, Location!!

This condo is located in a perfect location--close to the bay, close to the beach, close to restaurants, shops, and right on a bus route. There is no need to rent a car. We went all the way to the zoo on the bus--it was easy and inexpensive Probably the best part was access to the beachcruisers and all the toys. They really have made every effort to make this place as comfortable as possible and have thought of everything. The couch wasn't the most comfortable for watching TV, but luckily there is so much to do that there is no need to be in the condo watching TV anyway. This place feels like home. I highly recommend it to anyone. We plan to stay there again.

Owner response:After I received this review, I checked the couch and found that the cushion supports were under the couch instead of under the cushions. Easily fixed. Comfy couch now. It reminded me how important it is for a guest to call the owner right away if something is not just right. Owners appreciate being able to fix a problem quickly so the guests' vacation is 100% perfect instead of 90%!

"Ahhhh. What a relaxing place to stay! You're a short drive up the coast to La Jolla, a short drive downtown where you can explore the waterfront piers, taste delicious fish tacos, take the ferry to Coronado for $3.50!! Enjoy a delicious Italian dinner in the Gaslamp Quarter. Just over an hour up Highway 5 you're @ Disneyland! Best of all, you have the bikes to ride along the ocean and Bay - we even rode them to SeaWorld!! Enjoy.....we did!" Mandy & Aaron, Vancouver, B.C.

We were very close to the beach, and it was close to everything. Good restaurants in the area. Very convenient to Seaworld.

My best friend of 15 years and I stayed here at Bayside Lane and had a wonderful week away from our families! Don't get me wrong we love our families dearly. This was a great place, great view, with everything you need to be relaxed at the beach. Bikes were great and we had fun sightseeing. Loved the location as it was only 10-15 minutes from everything. We went some place everyday and we only used a quarter of a tank of gas the entire week. Loved it and look forward to returning someday. Happy travel to all!

Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! You haven't forgotten a thing. Whatever you might need is here. We would have like to stay another day but someone else beat us to it. Good for them. We loved the restaurant Sasaks Steak and Seafood - right around the corner. Also, try your luck with a Segway. What a blast! The route around the bay is beautiful. Another restaurant favorite was the Coaster Saloon. Probably the best cheeseburgers we've ever had. Hope whomever is next in has a fabulous time as we did.

Great location and wonderful little condo, even for a family of four. We walked the two blocks to the beach every day, built sand castles, walked down to Belmont Park, walked to Ralph's for groceries, rode the bikes, rode the waves on the boogie boards, saw a seal and dolphins swim by, visited the San Diego Zoo one day, and slept like babies every night. We returned home tanned, de-stressed, and full of wonderful memories. Thanks Jo Ann!

We were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary and "WOW" what a perfect place to stay. This condo was amazing, it is a very short walk to Mission Beach and Mission Bay where you can eat, drink, shop or just lay on the beach. We really enjoyed riding the beach cruisers on the boardwalks soaking up the beautiful San Diego weather. When we return to the Mission Beach/Mission Bay area this will be the only place we call home.

There was 4 of us stayed in the condo for 2weeks and we had everything we needed. Fab location, within walking distance of everything you'd need. It is right by the beach and bay, which gives you a choice of where to realx in the sun. We loved having the bikes to cycle around the bay. Great place to stay!

Had a fab time. So close to the beach and then for a cycle on the boardwalk to watch the sunset. Absolutely gorgeous. SeaWorld was class and go out to Mission Bay @ about 10pm to watch the fireworks from SeaWorld. Thank you so much for all the useful information that was provided. For a great night out, go to Pacific Beach Bar & Grill. Three words to describe San Diego - sun, sea and sand :)

We've just returned from a four night stay at this lovely condo. The location was perfect, steps from the bay (look out for the Pelicans) and a two minute walk to Mission Beach. The bikes were great!! We hired 2 more for the kids and cycled to La Jolla cove, well worth a visit to see the seals. Car hire wasn't necessary as everything was close at hand, we took the local bus to Seaworld (timetables in the condo) and Old Town, where you can take the trolley to almost anywhere. It was lovely not to have the hassle of parking! Belmont Park is a 20 minute stroll (the old roller coaser is fab!!) Inside of the condo was lovely!! Everything you can think of was included. We enjoyed eating breakfast overlooking the bay!! Overall we loved the condo and San Diego and would highly recommend. Thank you,

My wife and I very much enjoyed this tidy condo. With the beach bikes, we hardly even needed our rental car; you can get to dinner, the grocery store and just about anything without having to use any gas. The location is ideal, as you can see the bay from the window and the ocean is a couple blocks west. The kitchen is well-stocked with gadgets should you feel like cooking.

We stayed at Bayside Lane for a week in July 08. Perfect location - literally steps to the beach and the bay. We walked to the market and to many excellent restaurants. The apartment came iwth everything we needed. Especially loved the designated parking space and the fantastic coffee maker! We'd go back in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed a week at this property in Mission Beach. Everything was just as advertised from the wonderful coffee maker to the boogie boards and beach chairs! Location could not be better, short walk to the bay (it really is 30 steps) the beach, wonderful restaurants (make sure you try the Olive Cafe) and a fully stocked store. Crystal Pier and Belmont Park are a comfortable walk so you can leave your car in the assigned parking spot and enjoy a glass of wine at dinner. Thanks Jo Ann for helping us have such a great vacation!

My wife and I come yearly from Maine to see our daughter. We stay at different places in the San Diego area. We enjoyed the condo and will stay their again. It was clean, modern and well taken care of. If JoAnn could make the ocean water warmer in April it would have been perfect.

Very nice condo, quiet,clean and comfy, everything as advertised, internet access, flat screen TV. Great location, bay view. I stayed for Massachusetts school vacation week in February 2007, with my 2 children, aged 10 and 13. My daughter and I were comfortable in the bedroom, my son slept on the foldout bed in living room and slept fine. Well stocked kitchen, we cooked almost every night. Had a great time touring San Diego-Zoo, Balboa Park,Old Towne, Tijuana, Mount Palomar Observatory, Beaches including La Jolla "sea lion" beach,Imperial Beach(on border)where we saw an episode of HMO series John from Cincinnati being filmed on the pier, Gas Lamp district, Coronado Island, in rental car. Reserved parking space at condo. Used beach bikes and beach chairs, even in February. Even went swimming in ocean one day (water temp. 56 degrees-like Maine!) Watched sunset over Pacific- Ocean beach is very short walk from Bayside condo. Would recommend!!!Probably need car to really tour, but did see city buses going up and down Mission Blvd., but it's quite a distance from downtown.

What a terrific job Jo Ann and the crew have done to make this a great place to stay. It's just as advertised. We've been visiting San Diego in the summer for most of the past 10 years and this was one of the best places we have stayed.
