Had a great time at this place. Brother in Chicago, I live in Atlanta and KY was a great meeting place. We had 16 in our group and everyone had plenty of room. Pool table got a good bit of use. We stocked up the fridge in the basement with brews. Their main level/basement/deck stereo system was great! Plugged the laptop in and set the speakers in the basement and jammed out. Place was pretty clean, towels were not see-through, which is a common problem in rentals. I think it was a 50 gallon hotwater tank, I never heard anyone complaint about cold water. Would definatley rent again and suggest to friends/family. I was suprised to see alot of the kitchen was stocked with ingredients, salt pepper, sugar, cooking spray and the like. Grill had an extra propane tank. The owners were accomodating and great to deal with. Got my deposit back in a timely manner.

We had a blast and hope to do it again next year! There were 17 of us and the house was great and had everything we needed for the weekend. The hike down to the water was a litttle tougher than planned but ended up being a great workout! Thanks again!

This house is great. This house is very spacious with more than enough room for our group of 20. We had four families and all of us are ready to go back next year. It is one of the best stocked homes/condos we have ever rented. Plenty of pots, serving pieces, utensils, even extra spices if you needed. All of the bathrooms had hand soap and plenty of towels for our group of 20. It also has a very large yard, big enough for an outdoor game of wiffle ball. The deck is very nice with tables and chairs, even had tiki torches. And the view is beautiful. We had a bonfire, play games inside and out, and we even celebrated a 50th birthday. The lake was great - only downfall is the walk back up from the lake, but the stairs really help. We just took are time coming back up (rested on the way up). There is also a great orchard (Haney's) in Nancy. We stopped by there and got some great apple turnovers. We had a hard time finding a place for our large group, so I would definitely recommend if you have a large group. Thanks for sharing your place.

One of the nicest VRBO's I have ever stayed in. There is SO much room with THREE differerent living rooms. We spent the weekend away from kids with three other couples and we are already planning a weekend trip with kids soon. The walk to the lake is a rough but you don't even need to leave the deck to enjoy the view. I have never been to a house that had so many extras...paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. We made the quick trip to the local IGA twice everything you need there if you forget something. We traveled about 20 minutes to Lee's Ford Marina and rented a phontoon for th day at very reasonable prices. Do not hesitiate to book this place for your next lake trip.

The very best Thanksgiving ever. We live in Atlanta and always travel to Kentucky to see relatives on Thanksgiving. The family has about out grown grandmother's house. We decided to give her a break and move it to another place this year. we went scouting for a place big enough. We had 31 that came for Thanksgiving Day. Only 13 stayed the night since most came from Somerset Mt. Zion and Eubank. The Place was just perfect. We had a great time. We hope we can do it again next year. Thank you to the McDonald's You have beautiful home there on the Lake. Nick and Nancy Godbey

What can I say? Upon driving up the driveway we felt we had made the right decision. Upon walking in the door, we knew we had. We just spent a wonderful weekend at your place. Everyone - all 20 of us - was comfortable. And we used every inch of your property. We carried kayaks down to the lake, we grilled, we rested in the hot tub,we cooked breakfast casseroles and lasagna, we played pool, we played games, and we built a bon fire. It was a major success. There were plenty of linens, plenty of cooking utensils, and plenty of room. There is even enough room for privacy when you want it. Thank you so much for allowing us to come.

What a retreat! I am one of three daughters and we all have one toddler-aged child now. Our husbands take turns planning our annual vacation. We usually head to the ocean, but my husband really wanted to enjoy the lake this year. My mother celebrated her birthday there as well. This house was perfect; lots of rooms, well-maintained kitchen, provided supplies, the back-deck, hot-tub, pool table, and the information booklets were so valuable. Conley Bottom, Lee's Ford and the nearby play park were fun spots. A great quiet place to get away!

We had a fantastic visit at the Lake House and it was the perfect getaway for our big group. Everyone had comfortable sleeping arrangements and it was set up for relaxation. It was perfectly located on the lake and a nice access down to the water. It was even close enough to town to pick up the pizza when we were to lazy to cook! We look forward to staying again.

We had a wonderful time at Lake house 1. It was very large for our 4 families and the kids loved all of the toys, games and videos that were left there for them to play with. The hike down to the lake was challenging but all of our 6 kids (ages 2-7) were able to do it (even 80 year old Grandma made the trip!) It was difficult to swim with the kids once we got there but we did have an area to camp out. We ended up renting with Conley Bottom and they were very accommodating with meeting us at Cumberland Point instead of us driving all the way there. I would highly recommend using them as well. We had a great time and will most likely go back there again!
Owner response:Katie is "right on" with all of her comments. The shoreline is rocky and the slope continues on into the lake. It is a little difficult to sit in a chair on the shoreline, but carrying down a noodle or raft and swimming from the shoreline is the way to go if you do not have a boat or jet ski.

We loved both houses, very nice and clean. We had a big group and lots of space to accomodate 18 big adults when you rent both houses. The lake was hard to reach but other than that, great place to rent. A lot of privacy for a big group.
Owner response:Natalie is correct when she states that the lake is hard to reach. Making the trek down the 125 steps and then the steep hill is not so bad... but the climb back up can be a tough work-out for anyone, even those in the best shape. The climb up and down is not recommended for the very young, elderly or those with any ankle, knee, foot or health issues.

What a wonderful place to vacation. One of the best houses we have ever stayed in. The house was big enough for our four families. It had all the utensils for you kitchens needs. Plenty of bath towels for everyone staying there. We had a very nice time.
