An oasis away from home, perfect for a romantic getaway or family vacation. The backyard includes a gas grill kitchen with a mini fridge and sound system, an open fire pit for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, and a running brook with lovely landscaping to relax by.
The house has high ceilings, two decks, and is stylishly furnished with an open layout for entertaining. It includes plenty of books, board games, as well as Boogie boards and lawn chairs for taking down to the surf. Stroll for miles on white sand beach, visit the historic cement boat or ride bikes along the beach esplanade.
Santa Cruz County in which we're situated boasts some of the best surf in the world. Learn to surf with one of many surf schools nearby. Hike or bike through the trees at Nisene Marks Park just five minutes away. Ride one of the oldest wooden roller coasters at the Beach Boardwalk just 10 minutes North. Pamper yourself at Seascape Resort 10 minutes South. Spectacular Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, and beautiful Carmel (and Pebble Beach) are just a 30-minute drive away. All creature comforts are within a short drive. (Bikes and golfing equipment not provided).

Dear Jean, Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home--what a wonderful and comfortable alternative to staying in a hotel. We will undoubtedly share our experience w/others. While we never got around to using the outdoor kitchen--we love it! The backyard is great! FYI: The towels have been washed and the sheets in need of washing are piled in the back downstairs bedroom. Dear Jean: Thank you so much for opening your home to us all! We especially loved the backyard. We made sure to turn off the propane. A couple of us would like to know if you knitted the afghans or, if not, where did you happen to purchase them. Same goes for the oil scented sticks in the bathroom. Jean, We enjoyed your beautiful home very, very much. It was everything we hoped it would be. The beds were especially comfortable. We felt right at home. Just to let you know...the propane tank is empty. We tried to get it filled, but both stations we tried were out of propane. Also, the cold settings on the washer are actually hot--we thought your future tenants and yourself would like to know this to avoid any clothing problems. Thanks again for sharing your home w/us. Jean Jean: We did not have time to do the sheets and towels, but they are all in the master bathroom. We put a few snacks in the pantry and some things that could be used are in the fridge.
