This incredible oceanfront home is a wonderful getaway in the heart of Kure Beach, on Pleasure Island. It's within close walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the renowned Kure Beach fishing pier!
This home has a huge deck with a covered porch swing, a grill, a picnic table and Adirondack chairs. Relax and enjoy a picnic or barbecue. Or simply listen to the calming surf, and feel the ocean breeze. Watch the waves rolling in, seagulls flying by, and dolphins frolicking in the ocean -- right in front of you! You'll even have your own private walkway to the beach, and the convenience of an outside shower. There's plenty of house parking too.
This home is ideally suited for a small family and will sleep up to 8 (with 2 double size beds and 2 queen size beds). The master bedroom (with queen size bed and cable TV) is on the lower level and faces the ocean. There is also a full bath, a comfortable living room/den with a big picture window (also looking out to sea) and large LCD flat screen TV, a full-size kitchen with new appliances and dining bar, and a pantry with new front-loading washer and dryer. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms with ocean views and a shared full bath. One of the bedrooms has two double size beds (with cable TV) and the other bedroom has a queen size bed (also with cable TV).
Every room is freshly painted and beautifully decorated in a seaside theme in bright beachy colors, and there are updated furnishings as well as ceramic tile and Berber carpet throughout! It is strictly smoke-free and pet-free at all times. Amenities include WiFi internet, 4 cable TVs, DVD, and telephone service. Also included for your convenience are starter house supplies, such as paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, soap, cleaning supplies and laundry detergent. Departure sanitation service is included too. You may bring your own linens, or they may be rented at very reasonable rates.
While enjoying a nice, private vacation in the comfort of your own oceanfront cottage, you'll be surrounded by plenty of attractions. Great surf fishing is available -- on the Kure fishing pier, by charter boat, or off the beach itself in front of the cottage. For sightseeing, Historic Fort Fisher, Carolina Beach State Park, and the NC Aquarium are favorite local attractions on Pleasure Island within minutes of the cottage. A short drive will take you to historic Wilmington and the Battleship North Carolina -- just 15 miles away. And you may wish to take a day trip to beautiful Southport, by the NC Ferry system at nearby Fort Fisher. There is always something to do for everyone in the family!
For those of you who have vacationed at Kure Beach before, you know what a true gem this clean, uncrowded beach is! There are no condos or high-rises nearby. This special home is located in an all-residential section of the beach, so you will find it to be very low key and private--perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. You can practically have the beach to yourself. And for those who haven't yet experienced the pleasures of Kure Beach, you're in for a real treat! With moderate temperatures and so much available to see and do, it's a perfect vacation for all ages at any time of the year.

Perfect location and view of the ocean and pier! So close to Carolina Beach and Wilmington to make our week long vacation very entertaining and memorable. And my 2 year old loved the Aquarium which is just about 5 minutes from the house. House was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. The home owner had great communication from the very start and made the renting experience very easy and stress free. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

A lovely house with a perfect view of the ocean & the pier. The deck was a great spot to tan when the sand by the beach was getting too hot for the bare feet. Friends & Family on the Beach, it doesn't get much better than this! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us! The home is not only comfortable & convenient, it is charming! Perfect place to just unwind and enjoy the beauty of Kure Beach! The kids loved this vacation & the adults were able to become kids again for this time, that now seems all too short! For those of you reading this...we recommend the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher! And remind you to relax, take this all in... enjoy every day you have on this wonderful beach!
