We can't say enough about Mike and Cecelia's home in Kihea. I found them on Homeaway.com while looking for a 3 bedroom for my wife and I to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our grown children. The house was impeccably clean and welcoming with all the furnishings and a kitchen that our chef son loved. The lanai's were the perfect place to enjoy the Hawaiian weather, have meal outside or have drinks and watch the setting sun over the ocean. The lawns and landscaping were also perfectly groomed. This house is in a great location on the west coast of Maui, close to everything. Mike and Cecelia were great hosts, working with our arrival and departures. We would come back here to stay in a heartbeat or in any of their other properties. Don't pass on the opportunity to stay here!!

We had a very nice stay at this luxury home. The house was large and the beds were comfortable. The house was very nice and did feel luxurious. The two decks (one in front, one in back) were very nice to sit on and grill (in the back) or watch the sunset (in the front). There was a crib in the closet and a booster chair (though I was told they did not provide these amenities when I booked the house). There was ample towels, dishes, etc. There was a laundry room on site, with an extra toilet and shower in case 2 people need to shower simultaneously. The house is right across the street (a somewhat busy street) from the beach and there were beautiful sunsets. The farmer's market and an ABC store are within walking distance. However, there isn't much else in terms of restaurants or stores within walking distance. Overall, we would recommend this home and would return. We only had a few things we wish we would have known (but we still probably would have chosen this house, I just think reviews are helpful if they include any drawbacks as well, which there will be with any property). First, the beach across the street is great for walking on and watching sunsets, but when we were there, it was a bit too windy and rough for swimming and lounging much. We drove south 2 miles to beaches that were a little nicer. I just wish we could have walked to a really nice beach. Second, I expected a large property with houses far apart, but the 3 houses on the property are pretty close together. However, there was no problem with noise and everyone has their own patio and the luxury house has a very nice front and side yard to itself (the back 2 houses have a nice backyard they share). Third, the sound really carries in this house. This wasn't a huge problem, but with a sleeping baby, everyone else had to be super quiet as even with the bedroom doors shut, we could hear people talking in the living room. Again, overall, this really is a nice property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Mike and Cecelia's home was absolutely as advertised, and it was amazing. We were on vacation there for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. There were 5 adults in the home, my Mom and Dad, younger brother, my wife and I. The home was clean and well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen to cook when we weren't taking in the excellent food on Maui. One minor suggestion would be to add a DVD player to the house. A few nights, after busy days, we hung out at the house, and being able to pop in a movie would have been great. This is a minor suggestion only, and in no way detracts from what a great vacation home they have. We would definitely come back. We definitely recommend their home highly ! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. It was unfortunate that some of our family got sick, but you making concessions for them to stay an extra night was very appreciated. Thanks to Cecelia for the bananas she picked from your yard. We would definitely recommend your place!

There is nothing more comforting than to be able to come "home" every night; & that is exactly what we got to do with this property! Michael & Cecelia were absolutely amazing! They were so informative & accomodating. The location was GREAT. We were close to everything! Including the beach, which was across the street! You can enjoy the breath-taking Maui sunsets over the water EVERY night! The house was immaculate when we arrived, the yard stunning & well kept. We even got to enjoy lemonade with fresh lemons from the trees growing in the yard. We travelled with family, but they opted to stay elsewhere....once they saw our place, they regretted not booking one of the houses on Michael & Cecelia's property. We are looking forward to our next visit to Maui....we have NEVER travelled to the same destination twice, but we have found our "home away from home" with Michael & Cecelia. There is no way anyone would be disappointed with this property!

My family and friends have stayed at Mike and Cecelia's home three times. Their home is away from all the high rises and nestled in the central area of Maui so that you have the ability to travel to many of the beautiful spots on the island. It is less than 20 minutes from the airport. The landscaping around the house is very beautiful, so much so that it makes you just want to sit down and take it all in. All the amenities that are listed on their website are there. The washer and dryer are in a separate little house that is shared by all guests. I had no problem getting in to do my wash when I wanted to. The beach is across the street which is only a few steps away from the house. It is a small beach and the best time to go there is in the morning. In the afternoon the tide is high, there is no beach to sit on. One of my favorite beaches on Maui is Big Beach. The water is crystal clear and the beach is big. The only downfall to this beach is that sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and a cloud can sit over the beach and never move. It can be sunny one minute and rain the next. We did a lot of snorkeling trips through the Pacific Whale Foundation. All their excursions are very exciting. On our last trip to Maui, we took the Sunset Cruise from Lahaina which turned out to be one our highlights of our trip. One of our favorite restaurants is Mama's Fish House. We make it a point to go there every time we are on Maui. It is a little pricey but the food is great and the scenery is awesome! Michael and Cecelia are wonderful caretakers. They are very friendly and will do anything for you. I definitely would come back again!

Our family of ten aged 9 to 65 enjoyed this property immensely--we used this home for six of us and put the other four in the adjacent house which was equally as nice but with a much smaller kitchen. The kitchen in the large house was phenomenal and we cooked for ten there without a problem--modern applicances, large double door refrigerator, dishwasher, granite countertops, meticuously clean. Wonderful. Bedrooms were roomy with comfortable beds. Small bathroom between two bedrooms was indeed small--just a toilet and sink but the other full bathroom was very roomy and had a great shower. There was also a large clean shower in the extra laundry room which we used for very sandy children. The beach was on the other side of the road, but accessible in minutes, lots of great waves in the afternoon so there was endless boogie boarding by the children. The house is centrally located with easy access to Lahaina, great snorkeling, Iao Valley, Haleakala etc. Weather was wonderful (mid August)---90s in the afternoon but with good breezes. Cecilia and Michael were available and always helpful, often on the property to take care of the beautiful grounds. There is a generous yard where the children played catch and hunted geckos. Would not hesitate to recommend if you want a homelike setting with gorgeous surroundings. So much better than a hotel for a large family. Car essential.

The perfect Maui get away spot! Guest: Shannon (Vancouver, BC Canada) Date of Stay: June 12, 2010 Review Submitted: June 28, 2010 We rented the 3 homes for a family vacation/ wedding reception. Michael & Cecilia were the most accomodating & gracious hosts. The houses were lovely & the property was beyond perfect. All of our expectations were exceeded. The pictures online do not do this vacation rental justice. The houses are a hop accross the street to the most beautiful beach. It was the perfect spot, I cannot say it enough. We are already trying to figure out the next time we could go back!

My family and my sister's family from Australia just had one of our best vacation in Maui. We rented two properties from Mike and Cecelia. The properties are so well furnished and maintained. It was so good to have the comfort of a home rather than being cramped up in hotel rooms. Mike and Cecelia are great owners and very helpful. If we ever go back to Maui, this is where we will be staying! Thank you so much, Mike and Cecelia!

Home is in excellent condition. Pictures on the web cannot do justice because of the panoramic views. Home was very family friendly with large yard and ocean steps away. Owners/management were very helpful but not intrusive. I've rented on Hawaiian islands 4 times and would definitly recommend. Location is central to many popular places.

Stayed at the main house and the pictures do not do it justice. This is a great property and it is very well maintained. Cecilia was very helpful and friendly. The house is across a small road from the beach and was mostly deserted. Great view across Maalea Bay. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful! This place really stands out for so many reasons-modern, very comfortable, clean, roomy, centrally located and the beach is practically at your doorstep! The pergolas and landscaping are wonderful also and help to create a very relaxed environment.I also liked the grilling area which we used several times. For everything that this place offers,I'm still amazed that it's so affordable.I am looking forward to our next trip here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to vacation in Maui.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The Main House and Ohana were perfect for our family vacation. There were 10 adults and 4 kids and we still felt that we had plenty of room. It has everything you need and then some. The accommodations are truely upgraded. All of the other homes we saw can't compete! The beach was literally across the street...we went beach hopping and "ours" was the best by far. Morning swims are a must! We will be back ;0)

Hi there, My name is Johnny Nguyen and I have recently been to Maui and stay at Mike's house. Him and his wife are extra nice. The place is beautiful and close to everything. I guarantee you will enjoy every bit of it. The house is across the street from the ocean so in the evening you would see the most romantic sunset in the world. We really enjoy the stay and definitely will come back. I hope you would too. Please let me know if I could answer any question for you as well. Thanks! -- Best Regards, Johnny Nguyen

This was such a wonderful place to stay. We needed a place for lots of family. Our party rented both houses and both ohanas. What a great way to celebrate with family and friends. Everything was very nice, very clean and wonderful. The landscaping is beautiful. It is very clear that the owners love this property and take excellent care. This is also a great location to get anywhere on the island easily and quickly. Better then we could have asked for. If you stay here, take care of it. We want to come back.

We planned our trip to Maui for 8 months. It all centered around my 50th birthday. I truly had a vacation to remember. The house was more than the pictures allow you to see. It truly is a luxury home. The bed were amazing comfortable the kitchen was state of the art. If you had any questions or concerns the owners were there to take care of your needs. The yard was a beautiful and taken care of on a daily basis. It is across the street from the beach from which you had great sunsets. Each day you woke up in paradise with a great view. We had really good friends stay in the unit on the grounds. It was like a hotel and had plenty of room. If you are looking for a great house for a reunion you have found the place. Thanks for making my birthday a day to remember.
Owner response:My wife and I have been in the hospitality field combined for 40 years. We truely like to see guest leaving with a wow. We have alittle slice of heaven here on Maui and want others to expierence it.
