This secluded pine paneled cottage is located on a quiet road near the Madaket bus line and is completely vacation-ready. Madaket Beach, which is a gorgeous soft-sand big surf ocean beach, is three quarters of a mile down the Madaket bike path. It is also a short half-mile walk to Madaket Harbor and a shallow harbor beach that is great for small children.
The front sitting porch is the perfect spot for watching the famous Madaket sunsets. There is a covered breezeway providing a shady sheltered seating area.The house is surrounded by a large sunny yard and features a small walled garden with trumpet vines and hydrangeas.
The house features wide pine floors and beautiful pine paneling in the main living areas. The house has baseboard heat and the living room includes a glass enclosed brick fireplace.
The house is completely outfitted with china, flatware, linens and towels. The yard includes a gas grill, picnic table and outdoor furniture. Beach chairs, beach towels and coolers are provided.
There are beds for eight in three bedrooms. There is a full bath and an enclosed outside shower. Two of the bedrooms have queen- beds. The bunkroom has two pine bunk beds. We are long-time sailors and have spent many years cruising Cape Cod and the island, but of all the harbors we have enjoyed Nantucket has always been our favorite.

What makes 3Buoys special is that you really get the feeling of being away from it all. Nantucket has a remote, beachy feel that we love and the yard is very private. Make sure you head outsie on a cloudless night. The entire Milky Way will unfold overhear. Madaket has one of the darkest skies in the US and is perfect for stargazing. And the front porch is a great place from which to watch the sunset.

Dear Mr. Beckett, We had a smashing good time in your house. The TV came in handy for the sports fanatics. We loved the basement. Our parents were so happy because of all the cool appliances. Us kids loved the bunk beds. We enjoyed our stay and we'd like to come again. p.s You are so lucky to have a house in Madaket. It was also Evan's birthday. He was 10.

Hi Carla and Bill, I just wanted to let you know that we had the most wonderful time at your house -- what a lovely home it is and its location is absolutely fabulous! We had great weather all week and everything was just perfect. We tried to take care of it as if it were our own. Also, the Sunday to Sunday rental is a fantastic idea, and, it being the 4th of July, we were practically the only ones on the ferry out. We did not want to leave (I'm sure you must hear this a lot), but we were amazed at how crowded the island got as we moved closer to the holiday weekend -- by Sunday we were glad we were leaving to avoid the crowds - but that was the only reason! I am putting the keys in the mail to you today, hopefully you will receive them in the next day or two. I'd like to thank you both for such a wonderful vacation and hope that you will be going there soon to enjoy it yourselves. Kind Regards, Barrie
