The house is within walking distance of excellent village facilities, including 3 restaurants and a bar overlooking the incredible meeting point of the Vezere and Dordogne rivers. Here is the perfect location for swimming, and also the start point for canoe hire; pony trekking starts just a short distance away. Small shops include a traditional baker and many skilled craftsmen (including a silversmith, glassblower, potter and a brewer!). A short drive takes you to the nearest town (Le Bugue) which offers several supermarkets, banks, shops, and one of the best local weekly produce markets for which the region is famous.

Also within easy driving is the whole range of attractions and activities of Dordogne including caves, great castles, water parks, aquarium, activity centres for prehistory and traditional crafts, troglodyte settlements, all set amongst stunning countryside, rich in wildlife.

Restaurants to suit all budgets abound in this area - the ideal family holiday!
