Situated 80 miles or a two-hour drive north of the Puerto Vallarta airport, the small 1000-person fishing village of Aticama is located just off the beaten tourist track.
Aticama is known for its tranquility, charm, and beautiful sunsets. The beaches are uncrowded with panoramic vistas of the majestic Pacific Ocean and tropical jungle that surround the village. Aticama's plaza and a string of casual seafood restaurants are located along the shore - ideal for a cold drink, taco, or fresh catch of the day at sunset. The internet cafe is a five-minute walk. Pacific Ocean swimming and recreation at the sandy beach of Matanchen Bay is less than a ten-minute walk from the house.
Airport transfer and local buses are available from Puerto Vallarta (two-hour drive) and Guadalajara (four-hour drive). It is less convenient, but it is quite possible to visit without a car.

The rental unit is a free standing house with its own separate lot and landscaped garden. It is part of a larger estate known as Villa Sorrento. I look forward to meeting you.

I love to garden. Aticama is a tropical paradise where plants love to grow. I collect Orchids, Heliconias, Gingers, Anthuriums, Palms, Cycads, Pachypodiums, and other rare species. I would love to show you my gardens.

We have now stayed at Casa Sorrento four times. It is the most relaxing Mexican beach vacation you could ask for. The hosts are fabulous and do anything and everything to make your stay enjoyable. Don'e expect a typical Mexican tourist place. Aticama is nothing like Puerta Vallarta. The casita is the perfect place to relax.
Recommended for:Pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+.

Absolutely delightful! The hosts were wonderful - attentive and informative. The house for rent is the guesthouse for a large estate. We even used the pool at the main house and the oceanviews at the main house were stunning! The house we stayed at was very secure and was surrounded by beautiful gardens. The ocean and mountain views from the rooftop terraza were very nice. We spent a lot of time just hanging out and relaxing on the rooftop! The nearby beach was great. Mostly deserted and one of the widest and sandiest beach we have seen in Mexico. Highly recommended!!!!
