Perfect Cottage

I have been to this cottage three out of the last five years and I couldnt love it more. The front porch is bright and a great place to play card or boardgames at night. The beach is beautiful and wonderful to walk down at sunset. The inside of the place is absolutely adorable. There is a loft upstairs for the kids and each room is decorated perfectly. I wish i could rent it for the summer and go there to relax and enjoy. Always clean and well taken care of. Anyone who is fortunate enough to go to this place you're in for a real treat

Beautiful cabin steps from Lake Huron. Wonderful beach! The cabin was clean and well stocked with cleaning and cooking supplies. The cabin was surrounded by lovely gardens and the owner was as kind as could be. She made be feel at ease during my stay.

I have been coming to this cottage for the last 3 years with my 3 grandson's and it is wonderfull. It is kept very clean. The accomodations are great. Beds are comfortable. The beach is great. Close to the state park and a small county park which we walk or ride our bikes to. I would recommend this cottage as being one of the best. We will continue to come back and make more great memories.

Comfortable log cabin near the Lake Huron with a spacious screened in front porch. Easy lake access was like having your own private beach.

Rustic

We have just returned from a week at this property, we actually came home several days early. My family of 4 found this cottage way too small. Not only was the property small it was very dark, there was 1 lightbulb in the bathroom. The kitchen had most everything needed to cook but there was no space to cook or store food. I would have to say the biggest disappointment was the beach. In the description it states "sandy" beach, this was far from a sandy beach, it was quite rocky. We had to purchase water shoes in order to go in the water. A quiet area, Lexington was very nice BUT not planning a return trip!

Owner response:There are two light fixtures in the bathroom. Plenty of light. The beach is VERY sandy. The shoreline is stony as is all of Lake Huron on the Michigan side. I advise all guests to bring water shoes and I have many pairs of sandals for guests to wear. This cottage is actually one of the largest in the area. I have never had anyone say that the cottage is small. I have owned my place for 30 years and have had many people at the same time. The counter top is 6 foot long and several people cook in the kitchen at the same time. There are quite a lot of windows. The curtains need to be opened to let the natural light in. It is far less expensive to stay here that in a hotel room with one bed and a dresser. The sun room alone is very large.
