  We loved our week at the charming cottage. Tom and Lorie were gracious hosts and very helpful in answering all of our questions. The cottage was very clean and supplied with some of the basics we might need. The town of Ferndale itself is also wonderful and people everywhere are so friendly. We hiked local trails, drove the infamous 100 mile loop - wow! what scenery! Biked along Walkers Creek Trail road and went to Table Bluffs. Lots to see and do if you love exploring and looking for wildlife...we saw deer right at the cottage!! Wonderful cottage to stay at as a base for your day trips!

  My husband and I loved this cottage so much, we wanted to stay and live there. It's darling, uncluttered but cozy, very clean, pretty, with a wonderful deck and private hottub to enjoy. Very comfortable bed, good DVD selection to watch (watch Outbreak, which we disovered was filmed in Ferndale!) Fun to stroll into town, get pizza, and marvel at all the gorgeous Victorian architecture. This is a great place to stay!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

  We had a very nice time at Jeannettes cottage! Beds are very comfortable and that is very important to me in having a nice vacation. Great parking area in a nice private end of culdesac location. You can't go wrong with this vacation property! The town of Ferndale is pretty much like the town of Mayberry on the Andy Griffith Show! You will enjoy your visit there.

  Five of us stayed for two nights in September 2009. It's an excellent value in a scenic town. The owners are wonderful people. Great town, scenic secluded beach just few miles away, Redwood in the yard, excellent restaurants and shops. We came from Tennessee to tour Northern California and were glad we picked this cottage.

  My family travelled from Ohio to Ferndale CA spring 2008. I found Jeannette's online and am so glad I did! The cottage was very comfortable and my 3 children were never bored (DVD/Cable/WiFi access & hot tub kept them busy while at the cottage) The ocean (w/very quiet beach) is only a 10 minute drive. Downtown Ferndale is within walking distance. The hot tub, spacious cottage and gracious & fun hosts made our stay much more enjoyable than being in a stuffy hotel room. Fully equipped kitchen as well as a yard for kids/pets to play...you really cant ask for more. Thank you again Tom & Lorie! Hope to return spring 2010. Not this year :( Rayna from Columbus OH
