Vacation or stay at our charming historic guest cottage in Villa Grande called "The Old Goathouse." It is beautifully remodeled and furnished. It is private, has a deck, garden, gourmet kitchen, skylights, gas fireplace, and six person hot tub. We offer wireless DSL and nationwide long distance, and an original art collection. On-site Bodywork is available. We are 2 blocks from the newly aquired Patterson Point Preserve Beach.
The cottage is surrounded by lush vegetation and redwoods and is two blocks from the Russian River. "The Old Goat House" is on the site of the Old Villa Grande Hotel built in early 1900's, now a private residence. Villa Grande is a town full of historic craftsman style homes which makes for great sightseeing.
This is the perfect weekend getaway or week long retreat. The fantastic wine book "Wine Country Dogs" was completed at our lovely cottage.

Kyla is a local Realtor, a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, and bodyworker extradinare. Jon is a Licensed General Contractor who specializes in Craftsman remodels who did most of the work on the historic Old Goathouse. Sam is the amazing Golden Doodle whose job is to welcome all guests, especially the four legged ones, and show them the lay of the land. All of us are pleased to welcome you to the Old Goathouse and surrounding area. Please ask us for all and any info regarding the Russian River area, best local wines, the comminuty, etc.
Why the Owner Chose Villa Grande
We fell in love with the Old Villa Grande Hotel property the moment we saw it. It was in terrible condition. We have been lovingly restoring and remodelling it. Our plan is to live in Villa Grande forever. The Old Goathouse was our little vacation getaway which we remodelled for ourselves prior to moving to the area fulltime. It is adorable! We love it and you will too.

" The Goat House was a delightful place to spend our first fall in California wine country. We really enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and there was room for a big thanksgiving dinner with visitors. The hot tub was awesome.The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Jon and Kyla were so kind and helpful, it was a pleasure having them as neighbors. We hope to return in the future."

"Staying at the Goathouse in Villa Grande for the past three months has been a wonderful experience. There is plenty of privacy and extreme amenities. I have been spoiled with digital cable with several multiple movie channels, lots of digital music channels and a great television. There is access to wireless internet service. There is also a large hot tub for private use! The house itself is completely furnished and is lovely and very tastefully decorated. The queen sized bed is heavenly and the eat in kitchen is fully functional and very nicely equipped. It's located in a beautiful part of the Russian River and you can walk to the beach from the house. You can drive to the ocean in fifteen minutes and exploring the nearby towns is great fun. Had I not purchased a home in the area I would still be staying at the Goathouse. Enjoy!"
