Ladybug Lodge is a beautifully decorated three bedroom,three bath home, with views from every room. Centrally located in the community of Brasstown, North Carolina, Ladybug Lodge is close to the John C. Campbell Folk School, the North Carolina communities of Murphy and Hayesville, as well as the north Georgia mountains with Hiawassee and Blairsville only a short distance away. Brasstown Bald Mountain, the highest peak in Georgia is only a short distance south of Ladybug Lodge.
Ladybug Lodge is easily accessible by two wheel drive vehicles and has a covered parking area adjacent to the back door. The home is comfortably furnished with all the amenities that one wants and needs to enjoy a mountain vacation. The home can comfortably accommodate up to eight with the daybed and trundle bed located in the downstairs area.
The master bedroom has a queen-size sleep number bed system,which can be individually adjusted on each side for comfort level. Dresser with mirror,chest of drawers, television, and comfortable reading chair, as well as a walk-in closet for your clothes. The master bathroom has a bathtub/shower with a single vanity and mirror. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed, dresser, television, reading chair, and closet. The guest bathroom is located near the second bedroom and has a bathtub/shower with a single vanity and mirror. Both bedrooms have French doors that open to a porch that spans the full length of the home and provides a wonderful view of the surroundings.The third downstairs bedroom has two twin beds with a full bath next to the bedroom. A daybed with trundle bed is also located downstairs in the bedroom off the rec area. Their is also a gas log fireplace and a pool table in that rec. area.
The large living area is a combination kitchen/dining/living room and has great views of the mountains and wooded areas surrounding the home. The living room is accented with a gas log fireplace and comfortably furnished with two couches and a chair, and television with Direct TV Satellite Dish,and DVD. French doors also open to the porch that overlooks the beautiful landscaped yard. On the porch, there are comfortable chairs that provide a relaxing spot to read a book or just admire the surrounding beauty. Or grill your favorite foods.
The kitchen has all the appliances required to prepare, cook, and clean up after your wonderful meals. The kitchen contains a side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, electric stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. There is also a small island with a breakfast bar that seats three and separates the kitchen from the dining area. For your convenience there are dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils available for your use. The dining table, next to the kitchen and living room, comfortably seats six.
Ladybug Lodge is equiped with free wireless or wired internet service.Also free long distance phone calls within the US.
A washer and dryer are available for your use downstairs in the fully enclosed basement.
Smoking is permitted outdoors only. This is a pet free home.
Ladybug Lodge is conveniently located near numerous recreational activities, lakes, and mountains in western North Carolina and northern Georgia.

We always try to stay at Ladybug when we attend John C. Campbell Folk School. It's four minutes away. Quiet, luxurious, internet works perfectly and the owner is wonderful. If there is a rare problem, you can reach him immediately and he deals with it right away. It's close to great restaurants in Murphy. Attached, covered parking, plenty of comfortable seating and well-equipped kitchen. We've stayed other places when we couldn't get Ladybug Lodge and have always been disappointed.

What a wonderful warm, clean, beautiful home. We stayed the week of Oct. 9 to Oct. 16 2010. It was wonderful. The home is really lovely and very nicely decorated. Loved all the lady bug touches, the very comfortable furniture, and all the TV's. The roads were all paved with easy access to the house. All the trees were changing colors & was beautiful. It made for a very enjoyable vacation. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the porch watching for the deer which we got to see twice while we were there. I've stayed at Lady Bug Lodge multiple times and have never been disappointed. It is in a beautiful area of Western NC that experiences change of seasons. The house is charming & functional, with many nice amenities available to renters. It can sleep from 6-8 guests comfortably. The house has a mountain feel, yet it isn't way up a mountain road. Good location for those who may get car sick. The owner was very easy to deal with and the rates are great for what you get. The house is very clean when you get there and everything works and in their proper places. There's satellite TV and two fireplaces and a nice balcony to sit out on. I would heartily recommend this place for your stay in the Murphy, NC area!
