Why the Owner Chose Westerly
We were making one of our routine trips to Dunes Beach on Fathers Day in '03 when we stopped at this open house. We immediately knew this would be the perfect spot for our families to join us in comfort and also be very close to the beach. There was plenty of rooms for the the kids & their friends, and we could invite our friends and their families to join us too. It was a great way to bring friends together in the perfect summer setting near the beach. Ever since, we have hosted old college friends and their kids, cousins, siblings and of course our parents who helped nurture our love of the beach. Without this "base" camp we would not have the many memories created over the years. We are blessed in having stumbled upon this house that we immediately dubbed "The Brass Ring".
The Unique Benefits at this House
One of the best parts of the house is the AC. It allows us to host our grandparents and other elderly relatives who love the beach but can't make the trek anymore. They can at least come and visit and enjoy the family in comfort. It also allows sleeping babies to successfully nap and remain in good spirits. We also love the hardwood floors which keep down allergens. And last but not least the pool is key. Kids usually use it first thing they get up and it keeps them busy while we pack for the beach. Then we head out to the beach and it's the first place the kids go when we get back from the beach. I never thought we'd use the pool as much as we do. Accessing the pool/deck is so easy right off the Dining room making it a extension fo the home to sit in the sun, enjoy a cup of coffee or after beach appetizers.

Westerly has been a special palce for us. We are both BEACH people. Our parents were also beach people bringing us to the beach ALL the time. SO when we stumbled upon this house in our favorite beach location we jumped on the chance to have a get-away.

This property, its furnishings, and the grounds are in need of tender, loving care and maintenance. Definitely not a good value for the high rate.

Unfortunately due to the summer rental schedule this visitor stayed prior to the arrival of our carpenter who carefully repaired, replaced and re-painted the siding. The winter took a beating in this area and it was hard to schedule the repair. The pool deck is scheduled to be painted as well. I will certainly be taking a close look at interior furnishing in the eyes of a renter. Also know that the house is always available for a showing before the rental agreement is signed. Again, thanks for the feedback - everything is always helpful in making sure our renters enjoy their stay.

We had a wonderful and relaxing week in this house and on the beach. The outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off and then cooling off in the pool after a long day on the beach. We enjoyed meals on the deck and lots of fun games in the dinning room. Loved that the beach was so close, and what a great beach it was. Lots in the area to explore, we didn't get to it all so we ook forward to more visits.

Our family has been vacationing in the Westerly area for the past ten years, with the majority of that time in this adorable, cozy house! We travel from NJ and welcome the peaceful, serene atmosphere of the Rhode Island beach area as compared to the hustle bustle of the Jersey Shore. This rental is one of the best kept secrets and perfect for one or more families to share an amazing vacation. The house is clean and well-equipped with all the comforts of 'home'. The daily options are endless. We have enjoyed long days at Dunes Beach, backyard barbecues, shopping excursions to Watch Hill, day trips to Newport and Block Island and evening swims in the pool. We are an active family and have enjoyed walking, running, biking and kayaking in the cove. Perhaps one of the most attractive aspects of this vacation choice is the value! We have enjoyed fun, relaxing, economical family vacations in this house and look forward to going back every year!

I have rented a few places in Westerly for my vacation and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The location was perfect for us. The kid's loved the walk-out pool and we loved the private yard.
