HI there!
In addition to managing the Petite Retreat,
I am a wife and mother of 2 adorable girls.
My hobbies are gardening, cooking and drawing.
The Dana Point area has been my home most of my life and I loved every minute of growing up near the beach!
Why the Owner Chose Lantern Village
I bought the Petite Retreat as a single girl in 1995. It was a huge accomplishment and a dream come true. I loved the cottage from the moment I saw it and knew I wanted to live there no matter what!
I could not wait to putter in the garden and get a dog of my own. I lived there for about 9 years. In fact, after I married and had my first daughter we lived there for about a year. We were quite snug as little bugs!
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Luckily I do get to stay at the Petite Retreat on occasion. We enjoy spending time with our beloved neighbors and have great fun walking into town and to the harbor - like the 'old days'.
I enjoy the view too, especially looking down the coastline. It is spectacular!

This is an outstanding beach house ! The home is immaculate with perfect beach furnishings. The yard is huge , fully gated for pets and has beautiful landscaping. The large deck is almost like another room with unexpected ocean views. You are within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The Owner Dana treats her house with loving care and her guests as well as a 5 star hotel. This is our 3rd visit and can't wait to book next year.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.

Great little place to stay. Dana does not miss a beat as this place has everything you need as well as a very nice book telling of local shops, restaurants and places to go. It is in a nice neighborhood, the neighbors are friendly and you can pretty much walk everywhere without a hassle. Beware of the view on the deck- with comfy chairs & bbq - it made us miss half of the Doheny Blues Festival!! Thanks from Larry Mary & Willie
