We rented the second floor Aramis apartment for 3 days and couldn't have been happier. It was perfect for my husband and I along with our adult son, who joined us from London. It seemed even larger than pictured, very clean and comfortable. The bedroom has a large queen size bed and the pull out sofa is a double and quite comfortable. It is a very secure building, has a nice lift and a modern bath with a large walk in shower. Even though we were on the street side it was very quiet because of the double windows. There isn't a dishwasher in this apartment, which wasn't a problem for us and the bedroom doesn't have a door but the door to the kitchen/living area closes. There is an adjoining door to the next apartment which would be convenient for two groups traveling together, but we did not hear any noise from other apartments. Just a tip for those who use faceclothes, they are not supplied. The location couldn't be better, close to the bakery, grocery store, various shops and restaurants and only a short walk to most attractions. Magda was more than helpful and answered my many emails immediately. She also booked our cab to the train station, although we could have walked (only 10 minutes) if it hadn't been so early in the morning. Thank you Magda and Simon for your kind assistanceRecommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great experience with this unit and with the very accommodating people, both in the booking phase and in the visit phase itself. They were welcoming and very helpful. I echo the positive comments of others with regard to this very clean, comfortable, secure, and terrifically situated building. Bruges is a wonderful place to visit, made all the better to have a great place to come home to make our own dinners, from grocery stores, and a wonderful nearby meat shop and bakery. We would certainly return to this unit if we get back to Bruges.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay in the second floor apartments at the Aramis Holiday Suites. We were traveling with another couple who took the adjoining suite. It was very convenient to share the accommodations and we found them very comfortable and spacious. We had breakfast from the shop and bakeries that are very near by and the short walks to the sights were easily accomplished. The double windows made even the street front rooms very quiet. From reading other reviews, I believe this is a new feature. My only suggestion would be to update the pillows and bedding. We will be returning to this location as we have family living in the area. After 10 years of visiting, this will be the place we recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The flat was located in the old town with supermarkets etc... within less than a minute walk. All sightseeing are within a short walk too. Free parking about 5mn walk which is a bonus in a touristic place like Bruges (you can still park just down the flat if you wanted to). The flat itself was very clean, well appointed (even a lift to get to the upper floors) and the owners were very quick to respond to any queries. Very friendly. There is an interconnecting door to the other flat on the floor so larger families can be accomodated and be near each other if you wanted to. They had a cot and a highchair ready for our little girl. Note for Parents: There is no door into the bedroom (we were in flat 2.2) so any noise travels between the bedroom and the lounge room and vice versa. Just something to bear in mind if you have a little one sleeping in the bedroom in a cotDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6

L'appartamento è ben arredato, situato in zona molto centrale, molto luminoso, bella vista sui tetti di Bruges, qualche stoviglia in più non guasterebbe (grattugia, mestolo, centrifuga per insalata e posate varie). Management gentile e disponibile.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed for a week in the Porthos apartment. It was clean and well maintained, with plenty of wardrobe space. We were on the 2nd floor, facing away from the main street, so it was very quiet, although, at times we could hear sounds from the next door apartment. The floor in the bedroom was very creaky however and we could have done with a really sharp knife in the kitchen. The apartments are very well situated for all the museums, restaurants and other attractions. We were also within walking distance of the station. We would recommend the trip to the Flanders battlefields, and a walk or bike ride to the town of Damme, which is 4 miles from Bruges. We would stay here again, and would recommend it to others.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Due to an unfortunate double booking we were accommodated in a nearby apartment which was simply superb - so if that is anything to go by heartily recommended. Owner was extremely accommodating which contributed to a lovely weekend in a super place.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful week at the Holiday Flats Aramis. As we arrived early in the morning, we were able to drop off our luggage until the room was ready. The owners were very flexible with us. After our original booking, we needed to leave a day earlier, and they accommodated us. They also arranged for a taxi cab to take us to the train station when we were ready to depart. The location is close to many of the historic attractions. The Minewater is just around the corner, the Church of Our Lady is a 3 minute walk, and the Market is a 10 minute walk. Being in the apartment, we were able to visit a grocery store to purchase orange juice, water, butter, and sandwich meat. (And beer!) We visited a bakery daily to get pastries and rolls for breakfast and some lunches. Very convenient. Our only minor complaint was that we could hear some of the other reisdents at times. Also our floor creaked at spots - I hope the people downstairs didn't mind. We plan to revisit Brugge again is a few years. And we will consider coming back to Aramis, too.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment was excellent, very tastefully furnished and beautifully clean. The location was very convenient for all the main attractions in Bruges with plenty of resteraunts, shops and bars located nearby. My only criticism is that the kitchen equipment was a bit sparse with no potato peeler, sharp knife, colander etcRecommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I (two adults, one 3 y.o. child) stayed in a first floor flat in Aramis Flats. It was exceptionally spacious, warm, cozy, well-appointed, clean and very up-to-date. I have absolutely no complaints about our stay. The flats are close to the medieval center and we were able to walk to all the touristy spots. Luc and Hedwig (the owners) are absolutely charming and were very welcoming, meeting us upon our arrival and making sure our questions were answered. They also recommended parking for our car about 500 meters walk away which was free. Our car was there for our entire stay without a problem. There is a shop a few doors down where we were able to get eggs, milk, bread, etc. for lovely, leisurely breakfasts cooked in the en-suite, fully appointed kitchen. All and all a superb stay and great value for the money! Highly recommend. I can also recommend the restaurant La Source, Eiermarkt 19 Brugge, 8000. It had a delicious selection of international foods (we thoroughly enjoyed the generously portioned-homemade pizza), the service is very friendly (our waiter spoke 7 languages), and the prices were reasonable by comparison.Recommended for: Families with young children

The apartment is very well located, just a few minutes to the center and one step to the Minnewater and Begijnhof. Very clean, functional and very quiet. The train station is just 10 minutes walking. If you want to visit Flandes, we suggest you to spend a week in Brugge and take the train to the other cities, we did it and it was great! Reasonable price. The owners were very friendly and give us the best advices for restaurants, museums, etc.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Arrived at time agreed with Hedwig who was very friendly and supplied us with loads of information and showed us around the apartment. We were on the top floor facing the road which gave us 4 large windows to look out of. The road was cobbled so there was some road noise but with the windows shut it wasn't that noticeable. The apartment was clean and well appointed with everything needed except maybe a cooker. Rooms were large and bright with the original roof support on show. There was a modern lift to get you to the top floor. Location wise it was spot on , only a short but stunning walk to the city center. We cannot recommend this apartment enough and would not hesitate to stay at it again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Recently renovated flat near the centre of Bruges (though relatively quiet) and close to the train station. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with a feature bathroom. Lovely and warm given temperatures down to -10C when we stayed. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this second floor attic flat in Brugge. The property was very clean and extremely well maintained with modern good quality fittings, fixtures and appliances. Everything essential was provided including tea towels, washing up liquid, and cleaning essentials. The wide double windows in the bedroom and the living room give a light airy feel to the flat when the curtains are drawn back (this was a relief as the flat looked rather dark and gloomy in the website pictures). The owners, Luc and Hedwig, were friendly and welcoming on arrival. They do not live on site but telephone calls to their phones from the flat (for advice and emergencies) are free and in fact we saw them on site most days. Lots of helpful information is provided in a booklet which Hedwig talked us through on arrival. This included some excellent suggestions for local restaurants (graded by price) as well as essentials such as availability/location of Doctors. Further useful information is available downstairs in the lobby (tourist attractions, timetables etc) plus a variety of DVDs and books for residents' use. We ate at three of the suggested restaurants (and would particularly recommend the Belkoring and the Bistro Cosy). A food bonus, for those who like vegetarian, is that De Bron, serving the most superb vegetarian lunches (but not open every day), is just a 100 meters or so down the road. The location of the flat, as with most areas of Brugge, is within 10/15 minutes walk of the centre and is a similar walking distance distance from the Station. It is close to Minnewater park and surrounding pretty little streets. Supermarket, bakery and delicatessen are all conveniently within 5 minutes walk. The only problem we had with the flat was noise levels. It was a minor problem and did not spoil our enjoyment of the flat or our holiday. The noise came in two forms. Firstly we were three adults so we were using the living room sofa bed as the third bed. No real problem there except that it was an attic flat and the wall between bedroom and living room was open at roof space level allowing amplification of noise from the television to invade the main bedroom area. Secondly, with the windows open there was street noise from passing cars. It was perfectly quiet with the windows closed but the weather was too warm for this to be a viable solution - lucky us! We have no hesitation in recommending this flat to others.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
