We also provide two canoes, an awesome view, lake access, and boat slip. Even more adventurous? "Stress Management" (our well-equipped pontoon boat) is available exclusively for guest rental. Spend your vacation time enjoying Watauga Lake's cool waters and beautiful shoreline! Outside, you will enjoy an eight person built-in hot tub and large gas grill with no tanks to change--ever! After all the activities and excitement, you can rest up and prepare for the next day's adventure.

Eagles Peak is also within two hours driving distance of many major tourist attractions. As a result, our guests are able to visit many attractions and then return to the cabin. Ask us about horse back riding and hiking if you wish to experience the woodlands up close.

Days are very peaceful here as you escape the reality of life's busy schedules and work. The fresh air is crisp and clean as you view the mountains surrounding Watauga Lake. Again, many tourist attractions--the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Dollywood, and Roan Mountain--are all beautiful and within easy driving distance! Anyway you spend your time, day-to-day worries are sure to be forgotten at Eagles Peak.

Bring your boat or rent a fully equipped fishing/sightseeing pontoon boat from us! That way, you can command the best fishing spots and enjoy the lake to its fullest potential. Guests are also invited to utilize our complimentary canoes for quiet trips out to explore Watauga's beautiful shoreline. Trout are also abundant in the lake's in-flow and out-flow rivers. We send guests all the information they need to fish to their hearts content, and our pontoon has a live-well, remote trolling motor, and fish-finder ready to go.

For you NASCAR and racing fans, the infamous Bristol Motor Speedway is one hour away in Bristol TN. You need not settle for cramped park unit "cottages", or deal with vacation property managers. In our travels, we found that local "owner managers" are more vested in ensuring complete satisfaction. As owners, we ensure all guests are provided a fair price and excellent service. This lake does not allow development on all of its shores. Currently only about 50% of the land is private and can be developed, The other half of the lake's shoreline is US Forestry Land and will remain wild.

  • Just got back from a week stay at Eagle's Peak. The cabin was perfect for us. Mark met us there the first day to show us everything and how to operate the pontoon which we rented for the week, definitely a must in my opinion. I believe our daughter Daisy (female golden retriever) had the best time and it's nice to find a place that allows pets. My sister and her boyfriend joined us as well and having two masters on separate levels was nice as well. We had one small problem with the hot tub and Marc was out within an hour and fixed it right up. Great remote, relaxing place to stay and unwind. We definitely recommend to others.

Leann and Marc have thought of every possible amenity to make the stay at their beautiful cabin amazingly comfortable. The view from the cabin is spectacular and the location is perfect. This is easily the best place to stay in the Butler area. Thanks again Leann and Marc for all your help planning the trip and for making our stay in your idyllic cabin so memorable.   • We just returned home from vacation, and I cannot say enough good things about the cabin. The view was spectacular, and the cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. We had family visit while we were there and everyone was as impressed as we were. My only regret is that we could only stay for 5 nights! We rented the pontoon and had a wonderful time. The lake was beautiful. What a peaceful place! I hope to return someday. The owner's were extremely accomodating.You couldn't ask for friendlier folks. Thanks Marc!

  • We came to Eagles Peak for a much needed break from work/school/etc. It was quiet and relaxing, yet had plenty to do. We voted as a family, and decided its one of the very best vacations we've had. The cabin was extra clean and had every convenience.. and then some. We loved the lake - and we've stayed on so many of them. Watauga is the best. We brought our motorcyles and jet skis. The riding was awesome. Just about 30 minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway. US221 is a beautiful ride too! Last but not least... what can you say about Marc and Leann- they have it all together. We've stayed in lots of cabins and they are the most accomodating hosts ever. We didnt want to go home!!! Thanks.

  • I came with 2 friends the beginning of June and we had a fantastic time. The fishing wasn't very good that week...but you could see them jumping all over the lake, they just weren't biting! No matter, we simply spent the week enjoying the peacefulness of the lake and sightseeing around the area. Be sure to spend some time at the Dry Creek General Store, the owners are wonderful people and the food is just down-home country good. Also check out the Mast General Store in Valle Crucis. It's been open since 1883 and has great old fixtures and products you haven't seen in years (plus the drive through the mountains to get to the Valley is great). Just down the street from the store is a very nice restaurant that you'll enjoy for a more upscale meal. The town of Boone is only about 30 minutes away and offers nice shopping, etc. All told, we couldn't have enjoyed the week more and I've never seen such dedicated hosts as Marc and Leann. I've been renting through VRBO for 3 years now and they surpassed every other owner for fairness, concern, and a real desire to make sure your vacation is even better than advertised.
