"Days Serene" is nestled at the end of Harbor St- a dead end st with no thru traffic - it's great for the safety of kids and peace and quiet for the adults - in the backyard of "Plum Island Light" a working lighthouse - it's also romantic - steps to the beach. Go to google satellite and search 44 Harbor St Newburyport, Mass. for a neat sattelite px. Also note that photo #1 was taken from the cat walk of the light house - "DAYS SERENE" is the house just to the right of the rectangular bldg(the front of the house is yellow but the back that you can see from photo #1 is white). Available weekly june thru august - NOTE THAT OUR SUMMER CHANGE/OVER DAY IS SATURDAY (out 11am - in 3pm)
the major features of our property are not only location - water views from every window - but comfort - note the expansive wrap around screened porch(all new windows - every other one is a slider) - you can access the porch from either the living room or from the kitchen - a real convenience for serving guests and traffic flow - moreover, note picture #12 the window from dinning area into kitchen allowing direct service from Kitchen to Dinning area also nice social feature - chef can connect with dinning guests - two full baths(up and down) - central AC(first floor - window units 2nd flr) - outdoor shower w/changing room - off street parking for 4cars - this is a great get away spot.
Enchant with the sunsets over Newburyport Harbor - with the rhythmic, sweeping glow of Plum Island Light - Swim, sunbathe, stroll, kayak, surf cast or walk to the party boat at the end of the street for deep sea fishing or just relax and catch the views and a breeze from our three seasons, wraparound porch with ceiling fan. Retreat from the heat/humidity to our central air conditioned cottage for a "kid quiet time" a cool, evening meal fresh off the BBQ, a good air conditioned night's sleep, etc.
We are minutes from the Parker River Nat'l Wildlife Refuge and visitors center, the Audubon center and Newburyport; and close to s.New Hampshire and the White Mountains and less than an hour from Boston by train or car. We have off street parking for four cars.
This is the complete family vacation location - no bored members. We are hospitality pros and will ensure that your stay is memorable - we manage our own properties - WOW! two of them - but the point is we are avail 24/7 - you will be responsible for linens (Pcases,sheets,towels - if you're traveling by air we will provide)

We rented this beach house for a week, and found it to meet our every need. The house was furnished with everything we needed. And the owners, Dick and Maureen, were very friendly and accomodating. The house is very close to the water, and has excellent views. Our group ranged in age from 13 to 78, and everyone was very comfortable and pleased with our stay. If in the area again, I would definitely try to rent this beach house again.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had a very nice vacation renting this beach house on Plum Island. It is well maintained. The furniture is comfortable and the wrap around deck is a very nice feature. Also, we visited during a heat wave so we were thankful this house has air conditioning. It is very close to the water and in a very quiet section of the island. We highly recommend this to others wanting to vacation in this area.

My wife and I vacationed at this property for the 4th of July week. This clean property is located on a quiet road. The owners made sure that all of our needs were met. The house is steps away from the water, which was perfect for us. We were able to take our dogs swimming in the basin everyday and the beach on the ocean side is a short walk as well. Another highlight to the property is the wraparound porch where we spent most of our time. Overall, this is a great property that is operated by fantastic owners.
