Home recently renovated on quiet street that ends at the beach with water view from the second floor. Has large yard and wheelchair access to the first floor which has a large bedroom and full bath. There are four twin beds, a double futon and a double air mattress - all new beds and linens. Two bedrooms are very large and all are carpeted. Large eat-in kitchen and laundry room behind the kitchen.
Home is next to Fort Phoenix State Park which has a beach, a fort and a beautiful walkway out into the ocean. Ocean is warmed by the gulf stream with calm waters ideal for children and kayaking. Located in the charming town of Fairhaven, the home is within walking distance of the village center which has excellent restaurants and shopping and historic public buildings.
Across the bridge in New Bedford is the ferry to Martha's Vineyard (a 15 minute trip), the Whaling Museum and other attractions.
Fairhaven also has a bike path that crosses the town, and there is a playground and tennis courts a short walk from the house. This is a lovely home in a beautiful quiet town near Boston and Newport, Rhode Island which has beaches and boating without the Cape traffic.
