Year Purchased: 2004

25 years ago Bob and I moved to Port St. Lucie Florida about 125 miles south east of Davenport. We own and operate both a Florida Architectual Firm and Construction company in Port St. Lucie. We love Jesus Christ, our grandchildren, roller costers, good food, flea markets, and relaxation. We also love having the vacation rental in the Orlando area making it available to the body of Christ at a very afforable price. We have hosted many pastors and their families and many others who need a break from the hustle and bustle of ministry and the presures of life.

Why the Owner Chose Island Club West

Due to ministry and business obligations we found it difficult to vacation long distance and were spending more and more long weekends in the Orlando area for recreation and down time. In 2001 we decided to purchase a vacation rental in the Davenport area and have owned and operated it since that time.

The Unique Benefits of this Townhome

Orlando is the perfect vacation spot. With the theme parks, shopping, golfing, many resturants, and family night life how can you go wrong. Our unit at Island Club West is close to all these things and when you add in the pool, hot tub, fitness room, basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts your vacation package is complete.

our stay in florida was pretty much according to the description, but watch out for added charges after you check out. Our first day at rental, we heard loud noise and when walking into bedroom saw that bedroom dresser had toppled over due to being "top heavy" (instead of stuffed animal which is in picture on description, there is a large heavy lamp) which caused dresser to fall over. When I explained to owner they said this was caused by our occupants and not the fact that the furniture was "top heavy" . Also there is no CNN channel on TV if you are expecting to watch you are disappointed.

Owner response:I only retain a portion of the security if there are damages caused by the guests as stated in my contract. The lamp has been on the dresser for years and could only have fallen over due to the tenants abuse. The lamp was destroyed beyond repair and I charged only $50 for a lamp that cost two times that. Sorry that you were so bitter about paying for your damages. Other than that the tenants reported a wonderful vacation. One star is hardly fair considering I allowed an early check in at no additional charge and gave them a great summer rate. I was not upset about the lamp being broken by tenant, they should not be upset about paying for their damages.

Thanks to Wendy for a great place to stay for our Spring Training Annual trip. The house was clean and ready when we got there and each person was satisfied with their space. I LOVED THE WATER PRESSURE in the house. I know, it's a strange thing to write about, but in my travels this has been ab issue in the past. Wendy was great to deal with. a person of Godly character and very timely in her responses. Thanks a bunch, and see you next year. The ATLANTA BASEBALL CREW!
