Clean and very spacious home with a wonderful courtyard to view with clean swimming pool. Beach was just a parking lot walk away with easy access to beach. Owner was very gracious and wanted our stay to be enjoyable. If you are looking for a pet friendly place very close to the beach, this is a great place to vacation.

We had a very good time staying in Ruth's condo on North Padre Island. The rooms were spacious and it was a very convenient location on the first floor of the complex. The courtyard and pool were lovely and well kept. The other residents staying there were very friendly. The location to the beach was really convenient. We had an enjoyable and relaxing time and would come again. We enjoyed sightseeing in the area and visited the aquarium and art museum in Corpus Christi and the maritime museum in Rockport. We visited several bird sanctuaries in the area and near South Padre Island. My husband enjoyed fishing around Packery Channel and on Mustang Island. Golfing was convenient in Corpus Christi. We ate at a nice Mexican Restaurant, Los Cabos in Flour Bluff (great and reasonable margaritas), and at Virginia's, Moby Dick's, and the Castaways in Port Aransas. We also ate at Snoopy's on North Padre Island. The food was good at all of those restaurants. There is a great German Bakery on North Padre Island. Ruth has brochures in the condo on restaurants and things to do in the area.

LET ME START BY SAYING THIS, MY EXPERIENCE FAR EXCEEDS THE VIEW AND AMENITIES PROVIDED, WHICH I WILL GET TO IN A MOMENT, BUT FIRST, MY MOM LOST HER MOM AND BROTHER ALL IN THE SAME YEAR, AND HASNT BEEN TO VISIT HERE IN OVER 5 YRS. WE HAVE LIVED IN CORPUS CHRISTI 11 YRS NOW AND HAVE NEVER TAKEN THE TIME TO JUST GO STAY DOWN CLOSE TO THE ISLAND FOR A SMALL GETAWAY. WHILE MOM WAS HERE YOUR PLACE WAS SUGGESTED TO US AND WE JUMPED ON IT. OUR PLACE FACES THE COURTYARD WITH THE POOL , AND ALL I CAN SAY IS, WHO NEEDS A RESORT????WE HAD THE POOL OR WE COULD WALK ACROSS THE STREET EVERY DAY TO THE OCEAN AND SPEND AS MUCH OR AS LITTLE TIME AS WE WISHED....AND WE DID EXACTLY THAT! Ruth was very nice to all of us, there were three of us staying at the condo. Everything was very clean and really big. Bedrooms were big and beautiful, and clean. The beds were great. Just like the pictures. The pool big and clean, and great for hot days that one might not want to be in the ocean. Had covered tables and places to BBQ food if need be. Everyone was so friendly too. Ruth was just so nice and made our stay great. She went out of her way to make our stay the greatest. The beaches our right across the street to. Yes, I would come again and tell all my friends. Thanks Ruth, your the greatest.

We had the pleasure of staying at the surfside condo, it was absolutely beautiful, the condo, the courtyard, the owner, the onsite manager. The condo is beautiful and felt so homey, very clean and beds were comfortable, we bbq'd in the courtyard and had everything in the kitchen you would need for meals. Ruth has really made you feel at home when you walk in the door, we had everything we needed right there. Plus we had Ruth the owner checking on us and informing of us the best places to eat and visit while we were visiting the island. I give it a excellent review and would recommend it to everyone. We will defiinelty be coming back again.

We just had a fantastic 8 day vacation in Padre Island and stayed at Ruth's condo! I absolutely loved the condo! It felt like home! The condo was much more than we expected. It was very spacious, clean and well-maintained. We had everything we needed and more. The kitchen had everything you could think of. Loved the frozen mugs! The pool was so nice and just a few steps away. We enjoyed having the beach so close also. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to family and friends. Ruth was so helpful and recommended other places of interest with directions, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. We enjoyed sitting and visiting with other guest in the courtyard. I will never stay in a hotel when in the Corpus Christi area again. You can count on us to be back. Our condo was great. It was very clean & spacious. The kitchen appliances all worked well. The location of the condo is just across the street from the beach which was totally awesome. Ruth was prompt & friendly. I recommend this condo to anyone who just wants to get away from the grind of the city.

Our second wonderful weekend in two weeks. Ruth was so helpful in getting us a last minute booking for Easter weekend since we had enjoyed it the first weekend. I love the fact that it's much roomier than a hotel room; the couch is comfortable enough to fall asleep on and the pool is well taken care of. I love the beach and so glad the place is so convenient to the beach. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and help.

Quiet and Comfortable Trip

We just got back from staying at this condo and enjoyed it immensely. The two bedrooms were very comfy and nicely decorated. The kitchen is a nice size with more appliances than I could ever use. It was an easy walk to the beach and the pool was a nice area. Ruth was very helpful and checked in on us. Our doggie enjoyed the fact that the place shielded most all sound from the outside. We loved it so much, we're going back. Our new home away from home.

We had a great time here over 4th of July. After some confusion about where to pick up the key, Ruth stopped by to check on us in person. The condo was ready with the AC on when we arrived. It was also pet-friendly with a dog-walking area at the other end of the complex with disposal bags provided. The complex was very family friendly and a short walk to the beach. I recommend it!

We stayed at this lovely condo on Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. We had 4 adults, 1 child & 2 dogs and all fit quite comfortably. The condo itself had everything we needed. The furnishings are beach perfect and comfortable. The pool is really nice and large. There were plenty of grills, both gas & charcoal in the pool area. The beach was just a short walk across the road and through the public parking lot. We'll definitely stay here again. Thanks Ruth!

We had a fabulous time at this condo!! This was our first time using VRBO and we looked at a lot of rental properties. We found Ruth to be very honest, helpful and prompt in her responses. When we arrived at the condo it was even better than we were anticipating. It was clean, spacious, and well stocked. We loved the little extra touches like beach/pool toys for our kids (ages 2, 8 months), condiments, popsicles in the freezer, etc. Very close o the wonderful heated pool and the beach... two things we wanted. Our in-laws also rented a place in North Padre for that same time and when they came over stated ours was so much nicer. Thanks Ruth again for everything we would love to visit again. Our daughter still asks about Texas and the pool!

What a perfect weekend in a perfect condo! I've rented many vacation properties and this one takes the cake. It was everything we wanted and very competitively priced! Upon arrival, we immediately noticed how immaculately clean and cozy the condo was. It was pre-cooled which was especially nice on such a hot day and the kitchen was completely stocked... and when I say stocked, I mean every possible condiment you could imagine, extensive cookware and dinnerware, coffee maker (with coffee), rice cooker, and even a waffle maker! My husband, his brother and wife, 2 dogs, and I didn't plan on staying at the condo much, but it was so comfortable we probably spent the majority of the time hanging out in the living room playing games (also provided!) and relaxing. The swimming pool is just a short barefooted walk outside the front door and there are several BBQ grills where our men cooked up some burgers. The beach is not even a 5 minute walk away and there's even a doggie cleaning station on the backside of the complex. In past experiences, we had to find a gas station and hose our pups down after play before bringing them back to a rental. The bedrooms are adorable and the beds were very comfortable... we slept like babies. :) I cannot say enough about Ruth. I'm always wary of shady renters, but she was SO sweet, honest, and accomodating. She was very responsive to my millions of one-off questions, even up to the day we were arriving. She even called upon our arrival to check if we were settled and if there was anything we needed. We've found the only place we want to stay when traveling to Port A or Corpus. We highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling to the area!!

Found Ruth to be honest, fair, straight-forward and easy to work with even though we called with almost no notice. The unit was very clean, pre-cooled on a very hot day, and was much larger than any unit we've stayed in previously at other resorts. And the the price was very competitive. The pool was cleaned each morning, the office personnel were always on-site and helpful and the amenities are much better than expected. We've found our permanent location / unit for all future trips. Already told several friends/family about this gem.

We had a wonderful vacation at this condo. The setup of the condo was perfect for our family of five plus our dog who joined us. We loved having the beach just a short walk across the street. We had an enjoyable stay at your condo. The condo was clean, had plenty of room for the two of us, our daughter from Austin, and her dog. The courtyard and pool area are very pretty and a pleasant place to relax with a book and a swim to cool off. We visited the last week of May (Thurs to Thurs) and we had a couple days of rain but the rest were sunny, around 90. We would consider staying here again.
