Spofford is nine miles east of Brattleboro, Vermont and nine miles west of Keene, New Hampshire. The cottage was built by a prominent physician and his wife in the mid 1930s and has stayed in the family ever since. Noted local artist, Albert Quigley, painted magnificent murals depicting the local area found throughout the upper level.
The cottage is on the southern shore of the lake and provides guests with 200 feet of shoreline and spectacular sunsets. A swimmer's delight, Lake Spofford received the State's highest rating for clean water in 2005. Terrific sunfish and bass fising right off the dock. Boats can be moored. |
