After spending a wonderful week in Hilo, we didn't think Punalu'u would seem anywhere as good. Happily, we were wrong. This is a beautiful, even if slightly out-of-the-way place for a quiet getaway. The unit was clean, well maintained and well appointed, the resort facilities excellent and just sitting on the lanai and enjoying the gentle breeze and listening to the birds and the muted crashing of the waves was a lovely way to relax. Liz, the lady who looks after the unit, was most obliging with every request and helpful in every possible way. Relaxing on the nearby black sand beach and watching the basking turtles was a wonderful experience. Comfortable driving distance from the Volcanoes National Park, the Mauna Loa road, Volcano Village, South Point and the green sand beach. As long as one carries in adequate provisions from Hilo, this is a wonderful place to spend a quiet week. Sandy Barone, thanks for a really lovely stay at your piece of paradise, we hope to visit again sometime soon.

THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO RELAX AND USE AS A HOME FOR SIGHT SEEING THE VOLCANO AND SOUTH POINT. LOVED THE COZY ROOM AND VERY QUIET. NICE BLACKSAND BEACH AND GETAWAY LOCATION. RECOMMEND CONDO TO OTHERS WHO WANT QUIET GETWAY. GREAT PRICE.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
