Casita Placida is family-owned and run by Santa Fe Artist/Author Charleen Touchette and managed by Author/Filmmaker Jacques Paisner.
We purchased the compound on Gilderleeve Street in 1991, renovated the 2 br 1920's Casa and basement apartment and designed, built and furnished the 1 br Adobe Casita on the back of the property enlarging the original adobe garage with old beams into a private retreat on the back lot of Casita Placida Compound. We rented the Casita and Casa as fully furnished vacation rentals until January 2008 when a new Santa Fe City Ordinance prohibted short-term rentals except in commercial neighborhoods. We miss the many interesting and diverse guests who rented Casita Placida over the years as short-term guests when they visited Santa Fe for business, education, art workshops, work and pleasure. We now offer the Casita as a furnished long-term rental for 6 months to 1 year lease. The Casa is rented unfurnished with a year lease. Contact Jacques at # 505 470-2411
