This cozy, well furnished apartment is on the second floor of an 18th century building situated in the heart of the beautiful Italian village of Cernobbio, located on Lake Como and just a two minute walk to either the Villa D’Este, one of The Leading Hotels of the World or the famous ‘Villa Erba’, once inhabited by Luchino Visconti.
This elegant apartment is quite spacious and is in a very quiet area in the old part of Cernobbio and has recently been totally renovated and furnished. It is well equipped with modern plumbing, modern kitchen appliances, as well as dishes, stemware, tableware and all of the necessary utensils for cooking and eating.
The apartment has two double bedrooms, a charming loft, a large lounge with a wood-burning fireplace, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely balcony. It has beautiful light wood flooring accented with antique rugs and furniture. Much attention has been given to detail and each item has been selected with great care for appeal and utility.
This fabulous apartment also boasts excellent heating and air conditioning systems, as well as a clothes washer and drying rack for maximum comfort and convenience
It is near a number of excellent restaurants, coffee shops, gelaterias, bars, grocery stores and charming shops and is a short 10 minute drive to George Clooney’s ‘Villa Oleandra’ and the ‘Villa Fontanelle’, once owned by the late Gianni Versace. Many other beautiful villas may be viewed along the lake’s edge in both north and south directions from Cernobbio----either from the road by car or from the lake by boat.
If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with easy access to the region, it’s the perfect place for you. The apartment is just a few steps from the lake front where you can board a ferry boat to tour the lake in either direction…..to the north or to the south.
To the south, the city of Como is easily reached by a short boat ride or a five minute drive. Como is heralded as the ‘Silk Capital’ of Italy, where you can find many silk and textile shops with top line fashions, as well as many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, churches and museums.
To the north, by car or boat, you may visit many interesting towns and beautiful villas along the lake’s edge to include Bellagio at the promontory where the lake splits.
You can also enjoy lovely lake front walks and shopping in Cernobbio as well as longer walks or bike rides up and down the lake or up Monte Bisbino (1,325 meters) above Cernobbio----all of this from ‘your home away from home’!
This area of Italy is well served by many modes of transportation as you may travel by car, ferry, bus or international train service and Milan’s Malpensa Airport is an easy 45 minute drive via the Autostrada.
Milan, Italy’s main business hub, with two airports and world famous for its architecture, arts, fashion and shopping is only 40 kilometres away and the Swiss border is just 15 minutes away and the Swiss city of Lugano, on Lake Lugano, may be reached in 30 minutes by car or train.
It is worth mentioning that FOXTOWN, a factory outlet mall with 160 stores representing 250 brands, is located in Mendrisco and is halfway between Cernobbio and Lugano, Switzerland or just 15 minutes away and has 1,200 parking spaces and a casino and seven bars/restaurants.
As countless travellers have come to know, Lake Como is one of the most beautiful places in the world and has been chosen by many as ‘their personal paradise’.

Rate Details (In Euros)
Low season: January - February - March - April 900 euro/week
High season: May - June - July - August 1100 euro/week

Rates are maximum for 4 person, include all linen, towels and final cleaning fee.

Our usual changeover day is Saturday.

I travelled for their for the Villa de Este Car Show with two of my girlfriends in May of 2011. It was the most charming apartment in the center of town. Hassi (the owner) was more than accomodating and went above and beyond in making our stay fantastic from meeting us in the middle of the night to get the keys to helping us in anyway we needed. Before we left town each day, we would stop by his shop that was right around the corner to say Ciao! The description of this apartment is perfect! If i return to Cernobbio, I would love to stay again (next time, I am taking my husband)! Walking distance to everthing and we always felt very safe. Thank you Hassi for making this a trip of a lifetime! Hope to see you again soon! Only negative comment.... we never got to see George Clooney:) Next time!!!

This was my 4th trip to Cernobbio and first stay at this wonderful apartment. One of our most memorable vacations. I will rent this apartment again.

Australians at Lake Como - what a beautiful place and where better to stay than at this apartment. It suited our needs to the ground and our host just had to be the best. He was so helpful with all of our needs and in particular when our luggage took 2 days to arrive after changing planes at Heathrow. It is close to everything, the Village Shops, cafes and restaurants including an excellent restaurant on the ground floor, and the ferry terminal. We will be back in 2013 (for the same reason that took us there in 2010) and would not dream of accommodating ourselves elsewhere.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

My husband and I have stayed at this charming apartment more than once and plan to return. It's clean, comfortable, lovely and in the heart of our favorite town on our favorite lake. We can walk every where. The Cernobbians are friendly and interesting people.

We stayed for a week in this apartment and found it very comfortable. We were 4 adults and a 3 year old. The proprieter was very helpful, showing us a local bakery and short walk through the historic town to the lakefront where you can catch the lake boat and there are some childrens swings and things. The flat is furnished beautifully with antique looking furniture, some of which we were a little worried about with our 3 year old, but it seemed sturdy enough. The kitchen, although small is well equipped. The flat is very central to cernobbio, with an ice cream parlour and cash machine close by.
