Welcome to our inviting home at Ptarmigan Village Resort in Whitefish, Montana. Located near Glacier National Park, Whitefish Lake and Flathead Lake.

This special property is nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac within a private 55-acre wooded enclave is located in one of the most uniquely special mountain winter and summer vacation resort properties.
At Ptarmigan Village year ‘round resort, you couldn’t ask for a better location, just minutes from the lifts at the Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort and Whitefish Lake. If it is dining and nightlife you seek, you will find everything within a short drive to historic downtown Whitefish where you will find all of the amenities you can imagine.
This spacious three-story cabin offers three bedrooms, two downstairs and one loft-style bedroom on the top floor. The master offers a king size bed with lovely views of the surrounding woods and occasional grazing dear. The other two bedrooms both offer comfortable Queen sized beds. Just of the back you will find a scenic private deck with BBQ and outdoor table and chairs! Sleeps six to eight guests comfortably.
Featuring vaulted ceilings, large picture windows, ceramic tiled floor, wood burning fireplace, deck looking onto gorgeous pine trees, and warm wood accents!!! Beautifully decorated with all of the amenities of home. Cable and Wireless internet access is available on the property.
All the amenities you could wish for in a vacation rental. Completely appointed with all of the comforts of home. Two televisions, one in the great room and one in the master bedroom. Cable TV with premium movie channels, wireless internet, DVD / VCR players, CD/Radio, a kitchen equipped for all your gourmet preparations. Firewood for the fireplace just steps away from the door. One of the few Ptarmigan cabin/condos with in-unit washer and dryer. New this winter is the large outdoor hot-tub and remodeled indoor pool area. This “Blacktail” cabin is one of the most convenient to these new facilities, just steps away.
Ptarmigan Village Resort also offers Lake Access just few minutes drive down Big Mountain Road to the lakeshore. This includes Private Beach on refreshing Whitefish Lake along with a private dock for guests. Indoor and Outdoor pools for year around enjoyment. Hiking trails throughout the 55 acre resort property. Tennis courts, fishing pond. World-class golfing, hiking fly-fishing, mountain biking just to name a few of the adventures awaiting you.

Getting there:
* Glacier International Airport (FCA - Delta, Northwest, Alaska, and Horizon) is 20 minutes away and Amtrak goes right into Whitefish.
* For driving, take Interstate 90 until you are eight miles west of Missoula. Take US Highway 93 north towards Kalispell and Whitefish, 120 miles. In Whitefish turn RIGHT (North) onto Baker Avenue, City Hall will be on your right. Head (North) over the viaduct, go straight onto Wisconsin Avenue through the lights. Three miles ahead, turn RIGHT (North) onto Big Mountain Road. Five miles up you will see the turn-off for Ptarmigan Village.
Property Policy Cancellations made by guests must be made 45 days in advance. A refund of the deposit will only be issued after property is rebooked. The maximum sleeping capacity is 6-7 people. Check in time is 4:00 p.m. (Early entry is sometimes allowed, but must be arranged a head of time). Check out time is 10 a.m. (Late check out is sometimes allowed, but must also be arranged a head of time). Housekeeping is done upon departure, however a mid-week service is available for a fee, please inquire. For maintenance emergencies please call Dynie .
Property Policy- Liabilitiy and damage The owner is not liable for your lost or damaged items. A locking code will be given to you upon full payment. Pets are not permited. You must be 21 and over to rent the property. Property damage of common or private property includes: physical damage, excessive cleaning, defacing property, excessive noise, littering, lude public behavior, missing items/ theft. Guests must agree to pay for all private or common property damage by the guest themselves. Guests may also be evicted. Refunds will not be issued in the event of an eviction. The owner reserves the right to request Guest account inactivation.

Why the Owner Chose Whitefish
We were traveling to Yellowstone and Glacier one summer with a few of our daughters and stumbled upon the charming alpine community of Whitefish, Montana. We loved everything about it and found many people from Northern California that we knew had also discovered this unique mountain community. We immediately started looking for a property and found Ptarmigan Village. There is no place like this anywhere. We became so much a part of it that I even became a board member for Ptarmigan Village.
The Unique Benefits at this Lake House
Our remodeled unit is one of the more private ones situated at the end of a culdesac and within a short walking distance to the tennis courts and new pool building and outdoor spa. We are close to the Big Mountain Whitefish Mountain Resort and just minutes away from downtown Whitefish. We also have private lake access with Ptarmigan Villages lakeshore property. It doesn't get much better than this.

My husband Dana and I have 5 daughters and we have been coming to Whitefish for the past 8 years. Two of our daughters loved it so much they ended up living here and love the Montana mountain resort lifestyle. Our main home is in the Napa Valley where we enjoy the beauty of California's Wine Country. We are so fortunate to live in two of the most beautiful places on the the planet - Whitefish, Montana being one of the most special.
