Welcome to Turning Leaf Cottage near Balsam Lake, WI. The property is located on Long Lake two miles from Balsam Lake, WI, in Polk County. It is our pleasure to offer this newly constructed property with all the comforts of home.
The two-level home has a great room on the main floor with gas fireplace, open floor plan with kitchen and dining area that overlooks the wonderful view of the lake through the expansive window.The home has 2600 sq. feet of finished space - 1300 feet on each level. Select a good book from the library shelf or catch up on some DVD's,videos,or play some table games. This level offers a full bath, bedroom with twin beds (can be made up as a king size) and bedroom with queen bed.
We invite you to greet the day with coffee on our deck overlooking the lake, relax reading a great book, enjoy the sunsets from our west-facing lodge. You will find the wildlife enjoyable to observe:loons, hummingbirds, herons, and eagles will delight the bird watcher. You will enjoy the wooden swing seat for two on the deck. We find we eat most of our meals here in the summer.
The lower level is a walk-out to a patio with lakeview. The lower family room offers another gas fireplace, lounge area for chatting, table for playing games. A full bath and laundry area is on this level.There are two bedrooms also on this level - one with queen bed and one with 2 twin beds.
The lake provides great fishing, swimming, swimming raft,and paddle boat for your usage. The cabin has a private dock with bench to sit and fish or watch the kids swim or take in the sunset.Pontoon is available for an extra charge. Two public landings are available for those who wish to bring their own boat. Rarely are guests disappointed with fishing from the dock. The bass fishing is great; pan fish and northerns are also yours for the catching.
End the day with roasting marshmallows at a campfire by the lake. Property meant for small families or couples with a quiet getaway in mind. No rental to anyone under 25 years of age. Not suitable for children under age of 6. Maximum of 8 guests! Note:NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED INSIDE OR OUTSIDE!!! NO PETS!!!

Cleaning charge $100 - refundable if property left as found.
$1000 Security Deposit for first-time renters.
Pontoon available: $125/day (3-day rentals only); $700/wk
50% payment down when booking the lodge.
$250 Non-refundable if reservation is cancelled.
Two wks prior to arrival, payment in full.
