We spent a great week in this home. It had more than we expected. It was very clean and neatly decorated. I hated to leave it. Nice neighborhood, easy beach access and pool was inviting. We will visit in the future.

I stayed here with a group of friends and there was ample space for 8 people. We were such a short walk to the beach that the location was ideal. Also very close to great restaurants, like Shells. There was a grill outside and dishes and a dishwasher. All in all, we had what we needed for a nice beach vacation. When we arrived, I was concerned because the exterior of the home wasn't as well kept and nice looking as others in the neighborhood, but the house was clean and comfortable with all the amenities - and in a nice neighborhood. I would recommend and will stay here again.

House has lots of room and is very nice. Furnishings were good and it was comfortable. There were plenty of bath towels but no beach towels. Had 2 washers and dryers. The house is not on the beach but the walk is very short. You can still see the beach from the back porch. We had a a small bonfire on the beach to bring in the new year as did others. It was a great! The beach area is very wide. Has an area for cars to drive on and place for those who wish to play in the sand and soak up some rays. Beach was clean, has some small shells, water is the typical merky brown as are most Texas Beaches. Only negative is that there was not enough cooking pans, bowls etc for 8 people. We like to cook,so this was a minor problem but luckily we did bring some of own cooking utensils. Has a very large frig. Great place for families and being with friends. I would rent again. The Ferry to the island can be a long wait so bring some patience. We had to wait 45 minutes on a Monday afternoon in December. But it was worth the wait.

Nice, spacious, clean, well-furnished. Kitchen is pretty well-stocked with cookware and tools, which was great because we didn't want to fight restaurant crowds during SandFest weekend. The cooktop worked even though it had a big crack in it. I think the owner intends to replace that soon, though. The separate living area downstairs was handy for our kids -- we brought our Nintendo GameCube with us and hooked it up to the TV in there. That kept them busy while the parents enjoyed wine upstairs. The house is close enough to the beach to walk via a private boardwalk (just not barefoot -- there's a painfully pebbly patch along the way). It's on a short street with a lot of colorful, newly constructed 3-story beach homes. I asked about internet availability, and the owner said wireless service is available at a beachfront burger shack at the end of the block if you're really desperate to check email! My only beef is that the swimming pool is a community pool, which the description didn't mention. I assumed it would be private and part of this property. Still, our girls loved it. The owner was easy to work with. The place definitely was pricier than the nearby 3-bedroom condo we rented last year, but SO much nicer. We plan to stay here again, but probably make it a LONGER trip. :)

This house is exceptionally accomodating. Plenty of room and quiet places if you choose. The location is ideal for beach access, pool, dining, fishing, etc. We were very pleased with all the accomodations and the owner was helpful.
