  Without a doubt one of our very favorite places ever in Bermuda. Cathy is so welcoming and helpful, she feels like your old lost best friend. One can stay here and never need a bike or car or bus. Walking is easy to Reefs, Church Bay, Princess, Horseshoe Bay , Lighthouse,and all the walking you could ever want on Rail Trails.The large studio is comfy, huge!! bathroom, wonderful bed,and very accomodating kitchen area. We grilled every night and ate out on lawn overlooking ocean. A really 5 star place in Bermuda

  My husband and I stayed at Cathy's in the Allamanda unit for 5 nights. We were on holiday for a week and unfortunately, she was booked for the first 2 nights of our stay. She was so helpful right from the beginning by recommending another property until we could check-in to Allamanda. Everything was great from the moment we arrived on the island! The property she recommended worked out perfectly for our first two nights and she even arranged to have our luggage picked up there on moving day so we could have the day to ourselves-what a smooth transition! The location of Allamanda is excellent-close to the nature trail, with a wonderful beach right across the street and a view of the ocean from the front yard (and the other available unit). The property is even better than the pictures reflect! We had transportation passes and the bus stops right in front of the property so getting around was a breeze. Cathy is such a helpful and gracious host. We won't hesitate to stay here again and have already made recommendations to family and friends!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

  My wife and I stayed at this special cottage as we were attending our daughter's wedding. We could not ask for anything better. Location was fine, room was beautiful, and definitely clean. And Cathy was excellent hostess. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to arrive the day she is baking the chocolate chip cookies. We will definitely return. Lynne and Bob

  •Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, facilities, etc? The listing was exactly as depicted on the website. It even surpassed our expectations! This was our second visit to Bermuda and we did an extensive search to find this property. The location was perfect in a stately home in an updscale neigbourhood, with the best of romantic Bermuda at the doorstep. The property was very spacious with elegant decor and a huge spa bathroom complete with large Jacuzzi tub and very large walk in shower, which is very unique for Bermuda. The grounds and pool were beautiful. The bustop was across the street, Church's Beach was across the street, and many fine restaurants were within walking distance. Very very private and in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Was the property clean, was it well-maintained, etc? The apartment was spotless with the highest quality linens and decor. The outside property was immaculate and beautiful with well maincured gardens and an exceptionally clean pool with sparking waters. Did the owner provide good customer service? Cathy was an outstanding professional, who provided support to questions as required. She was highly dignified and respected our privacy and was friendly and welcoming in our encounters. It was a privilege to have the chance to meet Cathy and enjoy our stay in her beautiful home. She made us feel like Bermudians! •Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? Yes, I would recommend this to my family and friends. In fact, I already have. Amazing!! When we told people at the Reefs and other updscale hotels where we were staying so close to them and at such an affordable price they were very interested and impressed. •What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike? We thoroughly enjoyed the bus and touring in conjunction with the Ferries. Church Beach was fantastic for snorkeling and swimming! We loved walking to the Reefs for supper and dancing! We enjoyed Saturday nights dining and dancing at Henry the 8th's and loved the Lighthouse restaurant and view. The home is so accessible to the bus that we toured from one end... St. George's to Hamilton to the Dockyards several times in our 10 day stay and never ran out of exciting things to do!! Thank you Cathy for an amazing time, and we look forward to returning again! Thank you to the Bermuda folks who made us feel like we where at home in their beautiful country!

  Clean, spacious and delightful little cottage with all the amenities. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We loved the little patio set outdoors for morning coffee and dinners. Hostess Cathy was great and helped us get sorted out on our arrival with groceries, bus passes etc. (of course we covered the cost). Cathy is a Bermudian so knows the island inside and out - a great resource! Steps from bus stop which made it easy for touring around the island. The dip in the pool after a hot day was very relaxing. We would recommend this spot without hesitation. Jay and Dave Vancouver, Canada

  We are so glad we arranged to stay at the Allamanda for our visit to Bermuda, the accommodation and location are excellent and Cathy is a fantastic host. She is very friendly and does everything she can yo give you a wonderful holiday. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport, Cal, the driver, is a lovely lady who gave us lots of information about the island, beaches and places of interest and also stopped off at a supermarket where we picked up some essential groceries. We loved Bermuda, had a great holiday and highly recommend Cathy and Allamanda. Gill and Trevor

  We had the most wonderful and relaxing week in Bermuda. Cathy made our time there easy, enjoyable and welcomed us like family. The Allamanda cottage is beautifully presented and has everything you need. It is situated across the road from an amazing beach and there is a pool too! We really couldn't have asked for anything from a holiday apartment. When we return to Bermuda we would only ever stay with Cathy.

  We had a lovely stay in this studio apartment this past June. It was spotless, charmingly decorated and very comfortable. The hostess couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She walked the fine line of being available to help and leaving us to our privacy - a difficult feat since this was her home, as well. We loved the convenient location in Southampton, a couple minutes walk from Church Bay and The Reefs resort. We also loved the privacy of being in a small guest cottage instead of a large, impersonal hotel. It was great to look out onto our sparkling pool and take a quick dip whenever we wanted. I would highly recommend Allamanda to anyone considering a trip to Bermuda, especially for those wanting a more personal, less costly alternative to a big resort.

  My partner and I were looking for a "quick" five day getaway, when we stumbled upon Bermuda as an option. Neither of us new much about it or its people, and frankly chaulked it up to a stuffy old British isle, that would offer some snorkeling and some sun. Boy were we wrong!!! I We were THOROUGHLY surprised by the countries natural beauty, the islands history, its people's warm and diversity. Staying at Allamanda, with Cathy was simply a joy! She orchestrated our pick up at the airport with a wonderful local named Calvette, who served as a great tour guide and introduction to the island. We arranged with Calvette to stop at the market for groceries before arriving at the house, which was a GREAT help. The condo it's self was spotless, and hosted a fridge large enough to accommodate five days worth of groceries, which we really appreciated. It is exactly as shown and suited our needs very well. We felt the Allamanda offered us a secluded retreat at the end of our days where we could unwind and cook a nice meal by the pool while listening to the tree frogs chirp! Cathy was readily available to help with any questions we had, and always went the extra mile to meet any requests or needs that we had. Truly a fabulous host!! The location itself is perfect - again we had no idea how perfect until we got there! It is situated about 100m down the road from Church Bay, which is one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. Gibbs lighthouse is a short walk away, and major bus routes through the island stop outside the house, and just down the street (7 and 8). If you want to go to St. Georges for the day (or to the east period) - take the bus out to Dockyards, then the ferry across! There are also many restaurants within walking distance at the Reefs, Fairmount etc. which both offer a nice place for a meal. We could not have asked for more from our accommodations or our hostess!   My husband and I stayed at Allamanda for 3 nights and had truly an amazing time. It was a perfect place in great location. It is on the south shore with beautiful beaches close by. Our unit was clean, comfortable and cozy. It was truly a home away from home. Above all, Cathy, you are a great host, so welcoming and helpful. Thanks to you, our last minute trip turned out GREAT!!. Two thumbs up!! Thank you! We are definitely coming back.
