The cabin is a great place to stay. We enjoyed it very much. It was decorated nicely with plenty of room for our family of four. We liked the location which is secluded and the drive to and from the cabin offered great views of waterfalls and mountain streams. Art, the owner was very pleasent to work with and helped make our stay affordable and enjoyable. I would recommend this cabin to anyone staying in the Bryson City area.
Owner response:We're very proud of our log home, and so pleased to have great families stay there and to discover and experience all that these beautiful mountain environments can offer. One of the greatest gestures that a former guest can make (in addition to entering comments in our guestbook as well as on this site) , is through a personal referral ! There's nothing quite like "word-of-mouth" advertising. Thanks R. G.

"This cabin was beautifully decorated and had every amenity one could think of!! Kitchen was extremely well stocked, which is a definite plus for me!! The kids loved the loft area and we had more than enough room for our party of 6. Art was not kidding when he said it was dark at night! We lost power one night but there was an ample supply of candles in the kitchen, which we made use of.The road to the cabin can be a bit daunting at first, but we made it with no problems. We had a car and an SUV. Both accessed the road quite nicely after my initial shock at the hill! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a clean, serene and wonderful place to stay. It was far enough away to be secluded but we were into town in about 15 min. The drive on Wayah road to the cabin is unbelievable! There are so many waterfalls and wonderful streams! We can't wait to return!!"

Owner response:Kelli, Thank you for your 'glowing' comments. We've found it's always best to be honest with our guests...thus avoiding any surprises. So we were pretty sure you and your family were going to have a comfortable stay at Bear Crossing and an interesting and fun visit in the Nantahala area. You're welcomed to return as often as you'd like. Warmest regards, Art & Sheryl

Thanks Art for taking our short-noticed reservation. We had 3 adults and 3 teenaged kids and there was plenty of room. We went rafting, gem mining and waterfall searching around Franklin. The cabin was the perfect retreat at the end of a long day. The kids roasted marshmallows, hiked, and explored the lake. We all had a great time in our limited time. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. The seclusion was wonderful.

1st of all...The you could not ask for friendlier service. Mr. Casey went above and beyond to assure that our stay was convenient and comfortable. The cabin is awesome. Very remote and perfect elevation. Two very nice porches and the basement is a nice little getaway area. The kids had so much fun in the loft and climbing the stairs. You won't regret renting this cabin. I must add that the cabin is well stocked with all the extra's you can imagine. We are thrilled with our stay and memories. Thank you Art & Sheryl!

What a wonderful cabin it is! Extremely well equipped. Plenty of room for our family of five. The description on this property was done very well. We had a wonderful time enjoying the peaceful and scenerity of the area. The fishing was awesome; once we learned how to catch them). The white river-rafting was the highlight of our trip (be sure to visit Paddle Inn and see "Mom" she is great! And horseback riding at Runaway Fox Farms (see Shirley) less than 5 minute drive from the cabin was soo much fun for us! We definitely rate the cabin an A+++ and look forward to visiting again. We really enjoyed our stay at the Bear-adise cabin. The place was more like home than a vacation rental. It was quiet and nestled away just right. We do reccomend this cabin to other families that wish to vacation in the area. Many thanks goes out to the Casey's for a nice place to stay.
