Maria Bluff has always been a quiet area of expensive villas, and with the completion of Las Brisas a new standard of excellence has been set for this upscale neighborhood. The beautiful water views from Las Brisas extend for 180 degrees across the sun splashed sea and include dazzling Caribbean sunsets and the distant twinkling lights of St Thomas and other islands at night. The restaurants, beach, tennis courts and fitness room at the Westin Resort are less than a five minute drive, and the charming boutiques, restaurants and nightlife of Cruz Bay are less than a 10 minute drive on paved roads.
Architectural Design - Las Brisas is a superbly designed and constructed, distinctively furnished home that was completed in 2002. It is built on 4 levels with the pool, stone gazebo, pool deck and a guest bedroom located on the lower level. The kitchen, dining room, living areas, decks and patios and two guest bedrooms are on the main level. The master bedroom and covered balcony is on the third level and the crows nest is on the fourth level.
This handsome design incorporates tiled roofs, beamed cathedral ceilings, private covered verandah supported by 12 foot Doric columns, gorgeous stone walls, tiled floors, and mahogany French doors that open to antique brick patios. Las Brisas is a south facing, sunny home with every room cooled by air conditioning, ceiling fans and gentle breezes. The gazebo and many decks provide plenty of cool shady places to enjoy the views.
Bedrooms with a View - The elegant and romantic theme found throughout Las Brisas is reflected in all four bedrooms. The master bedroom is truly lovely and includes a four-poster hand carved king bed, a complete entertainment center, a desk/workspace, and a divine tiled bath with an antique bathtub and an open air shower. The two guest bedrooms on the main level have four-poster queen beds and the pool level bedroom has two twins that convert to a king. All bedrooms have a feeling of gracious romance and include air conditioning, cable color TV/VCR, stereo/CD systems, walk in closets, attached tiled baths with open air showers and French doors that open to furnished private decks with sunset views.
