Welcome to Aspen Ridge Chalet in the heart of the sierra. Located in a quiet and very convenient neighborhood, in the town of Truckee, just thirty minutes. West of RNO International Airport. Located just two blocks north of Donner Pass Road, between Mountain Hardware and Safeway. Excellent access and location year round, with snow removal provided during the winter months.

Aspen Ridge Chalet is a one bedroom, with a quest bed located in the office, fully furnished, to create a cozy mountain feel. There is a creek that runs in the spring time and the yard is nicely landscaped in the summer months. The interior has maple hardwood floors in the bedroom, living and kitchen area. The bathroom has tile floor, and a beautiful tiled shower. Completely furnished with all your bathroom amenities, shampoo, etc. with luxury bath and spa towels.

The bedroom has a new and very comfortable spring air mattress with a feather bed, down comforter, soft linens and lots of pillows. Also in the bedroom is cable tv. The living room has a sony flat screen plasma tv with cable, DVD and CD player. It is a nice cozy setting for watching a good movie. The kitchen is completely and fully furnished.There is also a state of the art washer and dryer in the laundry room right off the kitchen. Open the sliding glass door and step out onto the deck, with a view of the mountain tops and the full moon, if you are lucky to be here at that time.

On the deck you will find your own private Hot Springs Spa with many wonderful jets and moto massagers. It is designed to accommodate five people, which makes it very spacious and comfortable for two. The temperature is set at 102 degrees and can be adjusted to your comfort. It is always emaculate and professionally cleaned. Also on the deck you will find a nice outdoor dining table, with an umbrella and a propane heater. There is also a propane barbeque for year round grilling. Even in a snow storm! There are a variety of nice restaurants within a five minute walk and the market is about a two minute walk away.

Historic downtown Truckee is a five minute drive, with some of my favorite shops and restaurants, such as Dragon Fly, Pianeta, Pacific Crest, and Moody's. If you do not feel like dining out or cooking, we can arrange for a private chef upon request.

There are many year round activities here in the Sierra's. Winter is truly a wonderland, with many ski resorts just a twenty minute drive. Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Northstar, with their newly built village, and my absolute favorite, deli and bakery, Earthly Delights, is in the heart of the village, excellent for lunch, when skiing or gourmet take out. There is also an outdoor skating rink in the new village and at our local regional park in town, all lit up for night skating. On Donner Summit, you will find Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, with a european feel and Boreal Ridge ski area.

Also available, are many areas for cross country skiing. In the springtime, hiking and biking are great for getting out and seeing all the spring flowers in bloom and birds. You will be just fourteen miles north of Lake Tahoe and just five minutes from Donner Lake. Water sports include fishing in the the Truckee River and many other lakes in the area. There are a lot of activities to offer here year round or if you prefer to just relax for a few days, this is definitely the place.

For all of you women, and men too, I am a professional hairdresser with a salon on site. Featuring current haircutting and multiple haircoloring techniques. Waxing and massages are also available. Massages can be provided on site, upon request or off site, in a location just around the corner. I can also provide my services to accommodate small wedding parties. Appointments for any of the above services should be scheduled in advanced, as I do have a long standing and faithful clientele for many years. Also available is a nice selection of women and men's hair care products, body products and makeup. I am also able to schedule appointments for manicures and pedicures.

I have lived in Truckee for thirty years and look forward to sharing with you, all the wonderful things I have come to love about our town of Truckee. To begin with the interior decoration and furniture are just absolutely five star deluxe. And not a single detail that would add to your comfort and convenience has been overlooked - from the hot tub, to the heated bathroom floor, to the quality of the silverware, to the ice bucket for champagne...   • I recently stayed at this wonderful apartment!!! Denise has done a great job decorating the place and making it feel like home. And it really meant a lot that I could bring my two dogs with me. They enjoyed it as well. Everything you need to cook a meal is provided and the hot tub was nice to have. And....if you need a haircut...have Denise do it!! She cut mine and did a great job!! Too bad I live a couple hours away, otherwise I would have her do my hair all the time!!

  • Wow! We have stayed in lots of VRBO homes and Denise's is tops! The kitchen is great and has everything you need to cook at home. The bathrooms were stylish (LOVE the heated floors)and stocked with upscale products. Elegant and comfortable, we can't wait to go up again.

It has everything: hot tub, barbecue, TV, tree-filtered views, comfortable bed, quiet location close to downtown Truckee, and snacks to get you started! Denise is a great host and very friendly. The apartment is also close to Donner Lake and Donner Lake State Park and not far from Lake Tahoe.

  • We just returned from a wonderful trip to Truckee. I would highly recommend Aspen Chalet Ridge. You have your own beautiful new apartment with all the amenities. It is a separate building so you have your privacy. Denise lives and works next door and is always available with great tips about restaurants and activities in the area. The location is also superb. It is a quick drive to downtown but much more peaceful and relaxed than being in the heart of town. It was also a big bonus to us to be able to bring our dog.

  • The Aspen Ridge Chalet has all the comfort, convenience and class that anyone might want for a getaway to the Sierra's. No detail has been overlooked in offering top-notch accomodations and amenities. I had a great visit in May with the best of both worlds, waking up to see everything covered in a blanket of fresh fallen snow, which soon melted away and was followed by two days of beautiful sunshine and spring flowers just beginning to bloom. Whether enjoying my morning coffee out on the deck, an afternoon visit downtown for lunch and shopping, or relaxing in the jacuzzi under the moonlit starry sky, it was a fantastic time! Thanks for everything Denise! It was great!!!
